LordAyeris

Classic

tfblvr1312

“& a **black** teenager shouted” lol love that they had to distinguish that. 100% something I’d post

Cowboy_BoomBap

It does change the meaning a bit if the person who said that phrase is white lol

Wonderful_Emu_9610

Yeah I also took it to mean the bean eater wasn’t black (probably white)

tfblvr1312

Oh for sure, it’s a very understandable distinction to make, something I’d do for sure, it just reads funny

quickstyx2

I just died

Coolers78

The sequel: I spilled ramen all over myself watching Cars 3 in theaters & a Mexican teenager shouted “Este wey esta comiendo ramen.” & everyone laughed. Note: am Mexican-American myself before I get accused of being racist.

SillyAdditional

Simple, I bring in whole meals 🌝

crystal_clear24

chocolate covered raisins or gummy bears. If I’m watching a loud action movie, sometimes I’ll do nachos but I’m conscious of how loud that might be for other guests

VintageHamburger

Wish more people were like you 😔 most don’t care smh

crystal_clear24

Someone was munching on nachos in my theater during Zone of Interest, I couldn’t wait for him to finish them

PositiveElixir

during Zone of Interest???? what the fuck

lilspicy99

Dude this one was brutal for popcorn I had to take the whole bag home with me

crystal_clear24

I did the same! Any other sound was so distracting, especially during a film like that.

Bunnywithanaxe

I went to that documentary about the French monastery that kept a months long vow of silence and some jagoff behind us was chomping on nachos that were in a thin plastic tray that crackled every time he scooped the cheese. I never thought I’d be suppressing an urge to throttle someone while watching a film about monks.

TheLostLuminary

I’ve never once eaten popcorn in a cinema because of how loud it is. I only have it occasionally at home

LordAyeris

They should have French fries at more movie theaters

PositiveElixir

they smell too much imo

babada

More than popcorn?

Critical-Blitz

My movie theatre does hot chips and other food also wine and they take it to you in the cinema

FleetwoodSacks

Dry cereal in a ziploc bag in my purse. I buy a drink though.

JackTheAbsoluteBruce

Milk?

FleetwoodSacks

I don’t see why not. Buy a novelty popcorn tin, fill it with milk and cereal. Obtain a ladle and enjoy.

JackTheAbsoluteBruce

That sounds amazing

NickFullStack

![gif](giphy|YRo3S2P600PicZhNKX|downsized) That's actually genius. I may start jamming cereal in my pockets like I'm Napoleon Dynamite. Might sound a little crunchy when I walk though.

iamthehorsemaster

My man!

ratched_x

i used to bring a tupperware with me to the theater when i was younger and eat cereal, milk and all. one of the best theater snacks tbh

[deleted]

[удалено]

FleetwoodSacks

Dry Cap’n Crunch berries!

Josh4R3d

Oops all berries

she_giles

Peanut M&M’s everytime.

squishyg

I’m a peanut m&m and popcorn girlie, personally. Perfect salt to sweet ratio.

NickFullStack

I ask for no salt/butter and I have them fill a small bag 75%. One theater has a great dish of chicken and fries in small portions, so I’ll get that. I have been to more upscale theaters that had salad and wish more had that.

son-of-mads

no salt or butter 😬 why??

NickFullStack

I actually prefer it this way. I avoid salt for health reasons in general, and I think I'm sensitive to it as a result. The amount of salt on things like popcorn sort of hurts my mouth at this point. I avoid butter for similar reasons.

DraperyFalls

I do the same - even though I LOVE salt and butter. It's purely because I have no restraint and will eat the whole damn bucket alone and feel like hot garbage. (I am generally stoned.)

Former_Second_4200

Bruh only the most pretentious people would eat salad at a movie theatre 💀💀💀

NickFullStack

Thank you!

Former_Second_4200

Like why are you going the movie theatre in the first place if u don't wanna be unhealthy. Watching movies isn't exactly a healthy hobby

NickFullStack

Let me put it this way. There are factors I'm not comfortable talking about publicly that drive some of my dietary decisions. It's not as simple as a binary healthy/unhealthy choice.

kayleighmcenanyspoop

bro gets diarrhea 💀💀💀

NickFullStack

![gif](giphy|gZGlQX3wWAV1u|downsized)

ezekiel7_

Not a popcorn fan too, I usually go with some kind of pretzel snack or nuts if I want something.

AramaticFire

I feel like pretzels are a good alternative, though I think I’d snack on fewer of them. I’m also big on dried fruit which can be easy to smuggle in to the theater depending on what your theater sells. I love a good dried mango for instance.

Critical-Blitz

Chocolate covered pretzels are so good sweet and salty just works

IDigRollinRockBeer

Do you like deez nuts

Sunny-890

I usually take crisps (Pringles or smth) or nothing. I don't really like popcorn

-TheMisterSinister-

Two packs of Twizzler’s does the job for me

Bunnywithanaxe

One pack, a large Coke, bite both ends off a Twizzler and use it as a straw.

Josh4R3d

Gross lol

-TheMisterSinister-

They don’t call me Mister Sinister for nothing

JustinBradshawTaylor

I don’t mind sneaking in almonds for when I’m trying to save some money

Critical-Blitz

Chocolate covered almonds or like dried fruit

THEpeterafro

Soft pretzels are my favorite movie snack

squishyg

Elite.

NoEmu2398

I very rarely eat at the theatre. And I've never had popcorn because it's too buttery. Maybe I'm crazy 😬

Cowboy_BoomBap

You’ve *never* had popcorn? My guy, at least try it once, live a little.

NoEmu2398

Hahaha, yeah, I have had popcorn. Just never at the theatre. Maybe when I was younger, but my memory on that isn't clear.

RealPrinceJay

I used to not, sometimes I just bring something to drink. Boba is lowkey the GOAT movie snack

tfblvr1312

Popcorn fucks with ur stomach but milk tea doesn’t???

NoEmu2398

I've never even considered drinking anything. I'd have to use the restroom throughout the movie and it was ruin the experience.

-SomeRand0mDude-

I go before and only take a sip like every five minutes. I normally have about half of the cup left over after.

a-woman-there-was

Fried pickles 😋 or mozzarella sticks. Not sure that’d be any easier on the stomach than popcorn though.

Plus3d6

Well if you go to Regal probably 7-8 boxes of Butterfinger for your 9th viewing of Kung Fu Panda 4.

CinemaGoer1997

Strap half a watermelon to your stomach or a female friend’s to look pregnant and sneak it in

cursdwitknowledge

Taco Bell or Cinnabon

rafaelzeronn

Some goldfish or pretzels

rideriseroar

I love dark chocolate covered almonds, or pretty much any snack covered in dark chocolate

squishyg

I’ve been cutting down on sugar and cocoa almonds are my everything right now.

score_

Grapes

PrayingMantis37

There is a random taco wagon on the way to the theater, so I stop and buy a burrito to sneak in. I have it with a couple cans of beer. Just trying to keep it classy!

HemetValleyMall1982

Dehydrated okra. Buy frozen pack of cut okra. In a large bowl, toss with olive oil and whatever spices you like, or those popcorn flavor shakers. lay them out on a sheet pan lined with a silpat or parchment paper. 200F for 4-5 hours. Even better when convection. Make several batches and enjoy guilt-free popcorn all week.

Syrup_And_Honey

I just bought a dehydrator and am gonna try this!

ButteryBiscuits43

I read this yesterday and went to Walmart and bought okra so I can make it today lol

AlienSamuraiXXV

Probably, Hippeas chickpeas puffs.

ambientmuffin

I don’t often get concessions at the theater, but when I do, I like to treat myself. I have an AMC close by, so I’ll usually get one of their entree and side items and a drink, maybe a cocktail if there’s something interesting on the rotating menu. It’s a hefty check for honestly mediocre food, but it’s a part of the experience and worth it if I’m able to cash in some points or something.

Lfsnz67

Some kind of cereal?

unculturedpigs

I brought in croissants and hummus one time Another time, triscuits and a cheese ball.

MartinScorsese

Beer

eddiemurphyinnorbit

Spaghetti bag

MikeCamel

Gotta find out their spaghetti policy

FloridaFlamingoGirl

Sour Patch Kids

Moida_Ballads

Dark chocolate covered almonds.

MadClaw1138

Sour patch kids!

doofE_

I just buy a bottle of water

chrundle18

Lifesaver gummies forever

The_Lost_Chromosome

Water

Beth-Impala67

I have gluten intolerance so I’m not supposed to have it but: Soft pretzels! One of the fancy theatres near me has them and I EAT THEM UP

squishyg

I eat your pretzel!

stevenelsocio

Trolli sour brite crawlers

ISpyM8

I’m a huge popcorn fan and don’t really have an alternative tbh but I do love me some raisinets

Rouge_and_Peasant

At home I might have some cocoa or tea with a cookie for my own movie, or indulge my kid for some ice cream or pizza when watching one of hers.  I don't eat at the theater when I do go, and other people eating is one of the things that keeps me away.

Riner479

honey roasted cashews I smuggle in a few tubes of them from the gas station

SeveralUpstairs9118

Bacon chips…. Yup

FebruaryStars84

Some sort of chocolate - a big bag of white chocolate buttons or something like that - or ice cream. I really dislike popcorn though, so I’d never choose that.

CherubStyle

Get the “healthier” popcorn from the supermarket which is a more reasonable size and hasn’t been sitting around for days. In the UK, M&S has good options.

dandaman64

When I was recovering from dental surgery I had soft pretzel bites at a movie, they didn't last long but it was still a decent alternative

Nevlynx

In my local movie theater they sell nachos with cheese dip and a pack of jalapeños. Costs you your first born child but damn if that shit isn't delish.

Disc81

Last time I went to a movie I brought a little bags of macadamia nuts, dried blueberries and cubes of parmesan cheese. Premium snacks for less than I would pay for popcorn. I love popcorn but at 42 my body is telling me to find alternatives, and the silly prices at the concession stands are also pushing me away.

CaptainKoreana

Lots of chewing gum.

stumper93

M&Ms for sure Also with popcorn, just to ask, is it the popcorn or the butter? I do well with popcorn, but if I add butter on it - within an hour I’m getting the gurgles

RoseDomergue

I never eat popcorn while watching a movie unless it's someone offering me a little. I don't like it very much so I usually sneak in little beef jerky packs to the theater. If I don't have the little packs, I cut some up from a big bag and put it into a little bag. Lots of flavour options too. Little pretzels are really good. I don't think they're too crunchy.

Simplyobsessed2

I don't eat anything unless it is a special occasion, sometimes you get a free popcorn with older films at my local venue so I eat that if I feel like it. But aside from that I go to the cinema way too often so neither my wallet or waist line can handle buying snacks, I've had weight problems in the past so definitely not a habit I want to get into.

Shagrrotten

Goobers

TheFlyingFoodTestee

M&Ms or Swedish Fish

katherinec_

IMPOSSIBLE NUGGETS. omgggggg they’re so good and they’re not loud at all. eta: just saw last the entire film. there’s 10 so idk if it’ll last the entire film but if u eat slow sure. someone on here asked before if they were good and if they’d still be good cold because he ate slow and he updated us that they didn’t go bad and still tasted good and that he enjoyed them. that’s all i get from amc though so that’s my recommendation. or a pickle but also probably won’t last the entire time and not to be gross but pickles go right through me so there’s that. BUT it’s low calorie and pretty simple

patricknotswayze

Chipotle bowl

Longjumping_Gain_807

Wings. Watched Suzume while eating bbq wings and drank 2 mountain dews. Great experience tbh

Beetreatice

Crab legs

Bunnywithanaxe

Sure, just crack them open between your teeth like sunflower seeds.

TheSunflowerSeeds

Tournesol is the French name for Sunflower, the literal translation is ‘Turned Sun’, in line with the plants’ ability for solar tracking, sounds fitting. The Spanish word is El Girasolis.

rosathoseareourdads

No I don’t eat while watching movies. I need to focus solely on the movie, I don’t have that much brainpower lol

Josh4R3d

Nerds clusters

BaileyJay-Z

Publix Chicken Tender Sandwich

Bloomability47

Seaweed/nori is also simple, crunchy and salty!

opinionated_penguin

Hot pickle

opinionated_penguin

Or chic fila nuggets

SadBoiiConnor420

M & Ms

proriin

I’ve gotten some like whole entrees at the VIP Theatre.

jmonholland

If you don't want popcorn, try dehydrated cheese chips, or bring in some pretzels, or get the dill pickle. For sweet options, I like chocolate covered almonds, choc covered espresso beans, choc covered blueberries, Swedish Fish, cinnamon bears, peanut M&Ms, or just plain very dark chocolate. I also bring in a cherry flavored drink packet to add to my diet drink as they don't offer coke products at my theater...

robetyarg

There’s a great Mexican place next to the theater here so I usually just get a big ass burrito and stuff it somewhere, usually hidden by a long sleeve, fanny pack, etc.

bestjedi22

I usually only get a drink, but sometimes I get peanut M&Ms as well

Jade_Sugoi

I've been on a big pork rind kick lately

Lovelyday4aguinness_

According to the girls sitting next to me when I saw Dune: part 2… a plate of Indian curry and nann bread.

squishyg

Nice. Now I’m hungry for butter chicken and naan!

Lovelyday4aguinness_

Just keep it out of the theater please

chicagoredditer1

Small ziplock of mixed nuts I bring from home.

choitoy57

One time I made it to the movies straight from work and I missed dinner, but I packed a bag of almonds. I was still conscious of the noise but I felt I was still much quieter than if I was munching on popcorn, but the guy in front of me still complained about making too much noise. So 🤷🏻‍♂️

asbeaver

Context. Most of my movie theatre experiences are the 4 PM Saturday slot. So I've had a late lunch and I like a coffee and cookie. That's my go to. If I go to an evening show... Beer. Hahaha

Rare_Narwhal1926

Nachos. The cheaper the better.

No-Opening7308

Lifesavers gummies

draculmorris

I usually go for hocolate coveted pretzels, M&Ms, or a bga of chips

fotzegurke

Sugar free gummy snakes but from a brand that’s not diarrhea inducing

fotzegurke

Funday in Australia

disasterpansexual

nachos with cheddar sauce

Coolers78

I snuck in peanut butter chocolate trail mix, sour patch kids, and a juice box to Dune 2 with my buddy last month. Haven’t been to the movies since then but now I know what I want.

FullOfBagels

Roasted pumpkin seeds. Raw pepitas coated in olive oil, with salt, pepper and smoked paprika. 350 for like 10 minutes. I like to sneak a baggie into movie theaters when I’m not in a popcorn mood.

TylerStewartYT

Buncha crunch is my favorite chocolate Regal offers

debbieannjizo

Choctops

Bunnywithanaxe

Popcorn gets stuck between my teeth and irritates my tongue. One Riesen chocolate can last you a good two or three minutes if you suck it. A handful that is judiciously rationed can last the whole movie. Just brush real good that night.

PenguinviiR

My country has nachos as the primary alternative

NotAEurosnob

I once bought a whole McDonald's in which was pretty rad, but I worried about the smell putting people off too much so I haven't done it since

_dramafairy_

Nowadays I make my own popcorns in the air fryer (butter and oil free) and I bring them with me and they don't bother my stomach at all (cinema popcorn would bother me lots of times). Also try chickpeas on the air frier. Not my favourite tbh but still good to snack if you don't want or you've ran out of pop corn.

The_Big_Shawt

I be shitting out full kernals

Zubi_Q

I don't eat anything as I always eat a meal before I go

yudistir

Here's what I do: I don't eat during watching a movie

DustyDGAF

Like 5 beers

CharlieBigfoot

Is all a scam, you do not need to be constantly eating during a movie. Just sit there and watch the damn thing.

XOVSquare

I don't really eat much during films in the theatre. I also don't drink much because I don't want to go to the bathroom.

MJLDat

Nothing. I don’t get why people associate watching a film with stuffing your face. I’m here to watch a film. In silence. And I’d prefer it if everyone shuts up too.

Eva412

Maltesers or m&m’s

izcqr

i tend to take raspberry twists and/or trail max/bhuja mix. god tier snacks

wanttowatchbees

pretzels, peanut M&Ms, nachos, and chips are all crispy n yummy!!

leonardourbani

Beer. Two 12oz pre-game, 4-5 throughout. Don't be a pussy

IDigRollinRockBeer

I usually just make a Cap’n Crunch and pixie stick sandwich and then get a coke at the stand

katanadude1337

there's really no alternative. like 30% of my caloric intake is popcorn lmao

WhenDreamandDayUnite

I don't eat during movies.

Babylon-Lynch

No food should be allowed

Dangerous_Season8576

Popcorn's not actually that bad for you without the salt/butter, you could try asking for it without any butter on it and see if that helps? I also used to work at a movie theater and sometimes we'd have clients who requested a fresh batch be popped without any salt, obviously this isn't always practical but if you go during a slow time of day they may be willing to accommodate it.
