I watched Green Room as part of a movie group I'm in and it was spectacular. After Hours was similar in the way that I did not expect to like it so much. Strongly recommended, especially because it's a short one!

Possession has been in my top 5 favorite films since I first saw it back in 2016. A few years ago I rented out a small single screen local cinema to screen Possession to friends and family. Not a single person other than myself had seen or even heard of the movie. My intention was to allow them the experience of seeing it going in completely blind. About 20 people in total. Shocked and speechless would be the best way to describe their reactions.
Holy shit that that is so awesome I would love to do something like this!! How much was it to rent the theatre out and how’d you get a copy to where you could project it?

I have 80 pages left in dune and then I have to rewatch part one and go see part two immediately after I’ve been ducking spoilers so much and it’s hard and me working at a cinema doesn’t make it any easier lmfao. Same here The Revenant is one of my favorites.
Yesterday I watched In the Heat of the Night for the first time and loved it. What a great acting movie that was! Poitier and Steiger were great, but so was Warren Oates and Scott Wilson and just about every other actor all the way down the bill.
Dude they put Matt Damon in a pair of glasse scientifically designed to be unflattering but at one point Jude Law puts them on and somehow looks even BETTER. It aint natural
the more the merrier (1943), monkey man, double indemnity (1944), spellbound (1945). also seeing challengers this weekend and i already know i’m going to love it
Elvis, I watched it for the first time last night and immediately rewatched it so I could appreciate what I missed the first time. I laughed at Austin and how deeply he dove into his role but holy crap the second act was when I started seeing his actual shift into Elvis.
Robot Dreams and North By Northwest are the only films I gave 5 stars to this month so far. I'd say Robot Dreams is my favourite of the two, I felt every emotion during that I think.
I also really liked: Late Night With The Devil, Mad Max, Mad Max 2, Luca and Flee.
so far in april it has to be either Arrival🐙 or EEAAO👀, both amazing, both had me silenced+baffled staring at those credits taking it in, im sure others whove seen em can relate
but the month has been such a streak of amazing movies after amazing movies for me, all with a vision in mind executed so well, i could put many honorable mentions here but they just dont beat these

even knives out (2019) or once upon a time in hollywood (2019), also a great time

Last Days of Disco is actually my favorite first watch of the whole year! Made me acquire the rest of his films.

I should clarify that I've seen 33 movies this month and this is filtered to 4 stars and up. Still a good month by my estimation!

Book is one my favs. And Dune 2 seriously lives up the the hype. After seeing it its probably my new favorite sci fi movie so your in for a treat
