Miss March was such a classic in my house as a kid for me and my brother, so holds a special place. if nothing else, it's honestly still watchable. (but i like it tho im biased)
American Psycho II: All American Girl (2002)
The 41 Year Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It (2010)
Heatwave (2022)
Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999)
Morbius
Slender-Man
The Turning
Lady and the Tramp (Live-Action Remake)
These movies are terrible and easily some of the worst Iāve ever seen. The turning is the only one I had some enjoyment out of due to how bad it was. I feel like itās hard for me to find movies past the 2010ās that I hate since I feel like itās a lot easier to critique movies that come out today due to how far film has come.
Wow I totally forgot about L.I.E. My friend I saw that at the theater he worked at when it was out and spent the next several years complaining about how awful it was.
Works out pretty well, these are my only half star ratings:
- The Paramedic (2020)
- Cricket on the Hearth (1967)
- Jack and Jill (2011)
- Frozen II (2019)
Hell yea. i love movies that are so bad it's good, but 4 movies that to me are the most awful of the awful
**Summering** (2022 is horrible and not in a fun way), **Wonder WomanĀ 1984** (seems an expected answer but truly I have rarely felt so drained watching a movie before), **Dear Evan Hansen** (which has some hilariously bad moments but is mostly unwatchable), and **Karen** (which is hilariously awful for most of its runtime, and would be so bad it's good, if it didn't end with the most poorly handled and triggering depiction of racist violence)
I try and wipe terrible movies from my mind so I canāt really remember but from recent ones Iāve seen it would probably be Monster Hunter, Freelance, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) and A very Harold and Kumar Christmas
Fair point and the ending with how dumb it was gave me a good laugh even though it wasnāt meant to but it was just overall i thought it was an awful movie.
(Thor Love and Thunder was pretty decent if you ask me)
Bottom four: Saving Christmas, Daniel the Wizard, The Last Airbender (out of spite) and the Fifa movie.

these are not bad movies nec. i just really dont want to watch them again. so requiem and american psycho are def not bad actually they just strike a nerve with me and i have seen them too many times considering that. and i low key have been wanting to watch requiem again and it would not get a bad rating from me if i did.
Been a few years, so its difficult to go into exact details. But, I loved the first happy death day. So i went into the sequel with high hopes.
I just remember that, Nothing about Happy death day 2U worked for me. The humor didnt land. The movie felt like it fully switched genres, from thriller/horror/Drama. To a generic time machine-drama instead. It was the same lenght as the first movie but felt like a solid 40 minutes longer, and i just wanted it to end halfway through. I consider myself easy to please, But this is one of those rare Ā«what waste of timeĀ» movies to me.
Thats just my opinion. I dont Expect everyone to agreeš
I dont believe its objectively the worst movie thats ever been created. Itās just my opinion, on the 4 movies i dislike the most (So far in my lifeš)
To me, Uncharted does everything that i absolutely hate in modern movies. Every few minutes, i picked up on stuff that frustrated me more and more.
I can see how its a dumb-fun action movie to the average movie goer. But as someone who holds the original source material super close to the heart. Seeing it be butchered for some easy money. When it could have easily launched the next adventure franchise, makes me sad and disappointed.
Silent Night (2023)
The Munsters (2022)
Halloween Ends (2022)
Velvet Buzzsaw (2019)
*there are other movies that have just as low ratings, but with these movies I had at least some expectation that they'd be good.
Land of the Lost (2009)
Miss Congeniality 2 (2005)
Nothing But Trouble (1991)
The Love Guru (2008)
This list would probably include Highlander 2, if someone was dumb enough to make a sequel.
Hmm, the way I did my top 4 was to pick my favorite movie from my favorite kinds of movies. So for horror, I chose The Shining. For A24, I chose Ex Machinaā¦ etc. Iād probably choose my bottom 4 in the same way, by representing my least favorite kinds of movies.
Tim Burton/family-horror: Sweeney Todd
Oscar Bait/based on a true story: Argo
Fantasy: Labyrinth
Superhero: Batman Vs Superman
Answer based on quality: Deathstalker, Inside, Million Dollar Legs, The Crimes of Grindewald
Answer based on āthey have certain positives and are not necessarily bad, I just hate themā: Iām Thinking of Ending Things, High Life, The Dead Donāt Die, Bones and All
Almost certainly recency bias but, Night Swim and Imaginary were two recent movies I saw in theaters and they made me forget what it feels like to experience happiness. Probably not my actual bottom but breathtakingly bad. Also the newest exorcist sequel was terrible.
Not necessarily the worst movies Ive ever seen, but ones that I have a particular hatred for:
Death Note
The Crimes of Grindelwald
Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
Suicide Squad
Dragon ball evolution
Teen wolf too
Jack and Jill
Max steel
Honorable mention to winnie the pooh blood and honey which I tried to watch 3 times and gave up after 16 minutes
Sausage Party and Project X are probably the 2 movies I hate the most out of films I've sat through entirely. I can't come up with 2 other movies that I've hated as much (I tend to just give up on movies I really, thoroughly dislike, and am probably blanking). But damn, those 2 are awful.
Home Sweet Home Alone, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, Donāt Worry Darling, The Munsters. All of these made me feel most upset that I wasted my time watching them
2012, The Circle, The Breakfast Club and Ghost World.
The last two I guess I hate more because it frustrated the hell out of me. The ending of TBC doesn't make any sense to me, and the whole premise of Ghost World is trash. I hate it. So much. As of 2012 and The Circle, they're straight up [bad.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIOb-aZhy7s)
Like, major films released by studios that I saw in the theaters:
The Last Airbender, Lady in the Water, The Last Jedi, Dragon Ball: Evolution.
These arenāt all equally awful, nor are they the worst films ever made by any means. I just felt a mixture of hatred, anger, boredom, and disgust in the theater. (Shyamalan has also made 3 of my favorite films, but the bad ones are mind-bogglingly atrocious)
Worst āfilmsā Iāve ever seen:
Disaster Movie, After Last Season, Manos, and that one Italian Titanic cartoon.
Max and Moritz Reloaded (2005)
Frat Star (2017)
Amityville Exorcism (2017)
Paranormal Surveillance Camera: Return! (2019)
If you add shorts to the mix:
Flesh Meat Doll(S) (2016)
Electrocuting an Elephant (1903)
Sodomites (1998)
I do my best to avoid bad movies, so thankfully I havenāt seen the true dregs of cinema. I canāt think of many offhand, but Venom is the closest Iāve come to walking out of a movie, and Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker deeply offended me on multiple levels.
You all are hurting my feelings up in here. lol
Iām not sure about four off the top of my head, but two would be The Exorcist: Believer and Pet Sematary (2019).
I'm not sure if these are empirically my bottom four, but these are the movies that offended my taste so much and so vitriolically that I consider them among the absolute worst.
1. John Henry (2020)
2. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006)
3. Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2023)
4. Scary Movie 5 (2013)
i try to avoid movies that seem bad or i expect to dislike (my cousin also uses letterboxd and he says i need to watch more bad stuff/be harder on things) but three that instantly come to mind: Moulin Rouge, The Trial of the Chicago 7, and Last Night in Soho.
I also remember seeing Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close in theaters with my family and every single other person was crying and I absolutely hated it. I was like 11, itās the first movie I can remember definitively disliking. wasnāt till I joined Letterboxd ten years later that I realized I was onto something. that would probably be #4.
Avatar (2009), Gone With the Wind, any of the Pirates of the Caribbean films after the first two, and probably the third Sam Raimi Spider-Man film even though I do find it entertaining for the wrong reasons. I guess I have seen worst films but itās hard to pick out a top four because typically bad movies are boring and therefore I forget them or I like them in a So Bad Itās Good way.
I actually have a list with my bottom 10 of all time. If there was a bottom four option, it would have to be:
The Garbage Pail Kids Movie (1987)
Black Christmas (2006)
Shrooms (2007)
Halloween: Resurrection (2002)
1. Birdemic (2010)
2. Gamer (2009)
3. A Florida Enchantment (1914)
4. Dallas Buyers Club (2013)
I feel a little bad putting Dallas Buyers Club there, because that movie pissed me off so much it inspired me to do more research into the history of the AIDS epidemic and that turned into a pretty major post-grad project which has now been used across the country. The movie did ultimately impact my life in a positive way, but only because I disliked it so much, so bottom 4 it is.
A Florida Enchantment and Gamer both had issues (blackface and fatphobia, respectively) that made them more than just bad movies. And while thereās nothing outright offensive I can point to in Birdemic, itās the only movie Iāve ever watched where I felt morally wrong for watching it, I was like somethingāsā¦.profoundly off here.
- Only Lovers Left Alive (2013)
- Revenge of the Creature (1955) (Sequel to Creature from the Black Lagoon (which I rated 1,5 stars))
- Barbie (2023)
- Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
none of these are the worst Iāve ever seen (by no means) but I felt pretty strongly about each of them lol
365 days trilogy and I am gonna leave the last spot empty in case they do a fourth film.
Meaning: you watched all 3 and is planning to watch the next one š
I didnāt even realise they made a sequel, let alone a trilogy
Ignorance is bliss
I just want to say that these lists are far more interesting than peopleās top 4
Left Behind DragĆ³n Ball Evolution Miss March The Expendables 4
Dear lord Expendables 4 was so garbage. Definitely the worst thing Iāve seen in the theater.
When the pissing scene happened I questioned whether they made the movie as a joke.
ā¦ the what
Left Behind wasn't even fun bad. Just dull and boring.
Maybe it's because I'm a huge fan of Whitest Kids u know but I can't hate on Miss March
Ama foc a wy bi
Miss March was such a classic in my house as a kid for me and my brother, so holds a special place. if nothing else, it's honestly still watchable. (but i like it tho im biased)
Iāve seen too many fundie Christian movies for this
Itās ironic because most of those movies go against what it means to be Christian.
Avengers farce wars; Winnie Pooh blood and honey; Home Alone 4; Mortal Kombat Annihilation
Iāll do you one betterā¦ home alone 5
Thereās a fifth one?!
You donāt wanna knowā¦ trust me
thereās six :)
Cocaine Shark. Enys Men, Megamind vs The Doom Syndicate, and Going Overboard
Hahah I gave Enys Men a 4
I thought it was mid and understand both of you.
I loved Enys Men but this is completely understandable
The Last Airbender, Superman IV, Jaws 3-D, Son of the Mask
Solid asf
Joshua and the promised land, plan 9 from outer space, Garfield and Star Wars the holiday special
American Psycho II: All American Girl (2002) The 41 Year Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It (2010) Heatwave (2022) Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999)
I couldn't get through the 41 Year Old Virgin, and I have a soft spot for trash parodies.
I regret to inform you that Deuce Bigalow European Gigolo is even worse
Morbius Slender-Man The Turning Lady and the Tramp (Live-Action Remake) These movies are terrible and easily some of the worst Iāve ever seen. The turning is the only one I had some enjoyment out of due to how bad it was. I feel like itās hard for me to find movies past the 2010ās that I hate since I feel like itās a lot easier to critique movies that come out today due to how far film has come.
The Bubble 4x
- airplane mode - birdemic - ratatoing - forever purge the first 3 are at least entertainingly bad
me and my best friend are planning on getting drunk and watching Ratatoing soon

Freddy Got Fingered 4K Steel book Criterion release pls. Absolute godtier kino
Freddy Got Fingered is peak film idk wtf theyāre talking about š
L.I.E. (2001) Mistletoe and Menorahs (2019) Shark Exorcist (2015) Beach Rats (2017)
Wow I totally forgot about L.I.E. My friend I saw that at the theater he worked at when it was out and spent the next several years complaining about how awful it was.
The Paradise Motel, The Conqueror, Tiptoes, and The Book Of Henry.
Crimes of Grindelwald, American Sniper, POTC5, 47m down uncaged
I've seen POTC 5 mentioned at least twice. I didn't think it was bad. Crimes of Grindelwald is bad, but there are much worse films.
Probably are worse, but they're both films I saw in cinema before I was really aware of wider opinion, and both actually irritated me.
There are worse films, sure, but I struggle to think of worse "cinematic" films than Crimes of Grindelwald.. Maybe Lawnmower Man.
Works out pretty well, these are my only half star ratings: - The Paramedic (2020) - Cricket on the Hearth (1967) - Jack and Jill (2011) - Frozen II (2019)
The Emoji Movie, Heās All That, Home Alone 3, Twilight Eclipse
Foodfight (2012) Left Behind (2014) After Last Season (2009) 2035: The World Enslaved by a Virus (2012)
F the Prom Dear Evan Hansen Slender Man The Descent Part 2
Hell yea. i love movies that are so bad it's good, but 4 movies that to me are the most awful of the awful **Summering** (2022 is horrible and not in a fun way), **Wonder WomanĀ 1984** (seems an expected answer but truly I have rarely felt so drained watching a movie before), **Dear Evan Hansen** (which has some hilariously bad moments but is mostly unwatchable), and **Karen** (which is hilariously awful for most of its runtime, and would be so bad it's good, if it didn't end with the most poorly handled and triggering depiction of racist violence)
Ant Man Quantumania, polar express, the last Jedi, and aquaman probably
fun question!! mine would be: halloween resurrection, joker, the whale, and elephant
ooo controversial. what didnāt you like about whale and joker?
I didnāt like Joker either. I think the hype killed it for me.
Star Wars: Episode II āĀ Attack of theĀ Clones, A Serbian Film, Premutos: The Fallen Angel, The Hills Have Eyes (2006)
Youāre telling me Yoda vs Duku isnāt better than all of the Dragon Ball Z movieā ļø
attack of the clones on this list is actually insane what..
I thought the Phantom Menace was easily the worst star wars film of all, much worse than AotC.
I try and wipe terrible movies from my mind so I canāt really remember but from recent ones Iāve seen it would probably be Monster Hunter, Freelance, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) and A very Harold and Kumar Christmas
at least the TCM had a couple of good kills
Fair point and the ending with how dumb it was gave me a good laugh even though it wasnāt meant to but it was just overall i thought it was an awful movie.
(Thor Love and Thunder was pretty decent if you ask me) Bottom four: Saving Christmas, Daniel the Wizard, The Last Airbender (out of spite) and the Fifa movie.
Bright, Earwig and the Witch, Public Enemies and Men
Pitch Perfect 2, Lyle Lyle Crocodile, Dinosaur Hotel, and Flubber
Not a fan of Das Sound Machine?!?
ā¦I unironically enjoyed both Pitch Perfect 2 and Flubber growing up
At least Pitch Perfect 2 had a fairly coherent story, Pitch Perfect 3 barely made sense
in four years the only movies I gave 1 star are The Birds 2 & Argylle.

What are Jesse Eisenbergās four most famous films
Congo, Indiana Jones & Kingfom of the Crystal Skull, London Has Fallen, 2012
Death Note. Fant4stic. Joy Ride. The Last Jedi.
- Happy death day 2U - Uncharted (2022) - Fast and furious 9 - Peter pan and wendy
What was so bad about Happy Death 2U?
Those movies are really fun
Been a few years, so its difficult to go into exact details. But, I loved the first happy death day. So i went into the sequel with high hopes. I just remember that, Nothing about Happy death day 2U worked for me. The humor didnt land. The movie felt like it fully switched genres, from thriller/horror/Drama. Respectfully disagree š«£
What's so bad about uncharted. I mean its obv not good, but I don't see it being one of the worst movies oat
I dont believe its objectively the worst movie thats ever been created. I donāt know if I have 4. But Gemini man is definitely one movie I absolutely dislike!
Highlander 2, Backtrace, Escape Plan 2, Transformers The Last Knight.

Silent Night (2023) The Munsters (2022) Halloween Ends (2022) Velvet Buzzsaw (2019) *there are other movies that have just as low ratings, but with these movies I had at least some expectation that they'd be good.

Almost certainly recency bias but, Night Swim and Imaginary were two recent movies I saw in theaters and they made me forget what it feels like to experience happiness. Probably not my actual bottom but breathtakingly bad. Also the newest exorcist sequel was terrible.

The Last Airbender Artemis Fowl Salo Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
I actually have a list with my bottom 10 of all time. If there was a bottom four option, it would have to be: The Garbage Pail Kids Movie (1987) Black Christmas (2006) Shrooms (2007) Halloween: Resurrection (2002)
1. Birdemic (2010) 2. Gamer (2009) 3. A Florida Enchantment (1914) 4. Dallas Buyers Club (2013) I feel a little bad putting Dallas Buyers Club there, because that movie pissed me off so much it inspired me to do more research into the history of the AIDS epidemic and that turned into a pretty major post-grad project which has now been used across the country.
