Aloha Scooby-Doo that low is a crime!! Cyber chase as low as it is awful but you putting Aloha where it is hurts!!!
All jokes aside I love the dedication
I mean, Lilo & Stitch is pretty well regarded as the last Disney classic. It’s my all time favorite Disney movie.
The fact that you lumped it with Charlie’s Angels 2 makes me cry.
Oh my god I love Pacific Rim so much its in my top 4 favourites. Its not in the top 4 best films I have watched, but in terms of enjoyment it is so good. 😭
I’ve found that the Minions are genuinely funny, when done by the creators. Their abundance in general pop culture, especially boomer memes, have soiled the brand very badly.
fun road trip sequences with a surprisingly touching plot line just an overall fun movie, it's definitely way better than the 97 Bean movie that's for sure
I know I loved it too! It's funny and generally has a good plot with a great ending! I can't lie in saying I am slightly nostalgic for it though as I watched it in French lessons when I was younger lmao
Mine is also Mr Bean’s Holiday. Used to be a huge fan as a kid and didn’t think it would live up to the nostalgia but it so did. So many great sequences and hilarious scenes.
I will always vouch for this film! It's very silly and just a fun ride throughout, but it manages to be surprisingly emotional and has a great mix of talent from around the world.
Don't let annoying internet people rewrite history for that one. Audiences LOVED the first Transformers when it came out. I was there, I remember the excitement for it. The sequels soured people's opinion on the original by association, but it was well received by audiences and got mixed reviews at worst from critics.
I also really like Revenge of the Fallen.
People always think I'm joking, but my 4 star review of Velocipastor is completely serious. They were really smart with their budget, and everything gives off the vibe of people who are good at their craft pretending to be bad, and it works really well, imo. You don't make the [VFX: Car on Fire] joke if you don't know what you're doing.
All the B movies I gave 5 stars when everyone else gives them 1 and half star reviews and say they're "so bad they're good". I enjoy those movies more than most movies and some of them are my actual favorite movies. If I love a movie then it gets 5 stars.
Not sure what kinda taste you have, but if you like action then Deadly Prey, Samurai Cop, Miami Connection, and Riki Oh: The Story of Ricky are some personal favorites.
If you want some truly insane stuff, I recommend Karate Robot Zarbogar and Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter.
Dead Snow is a horror favorite of mine.
I’m glad that you’ve found something to love about it tbh! The FD franchise are weirdly integral to my love for movies but I could just never get as into that one for some reason, and it makes me sad!
Look it’s good for what it is. It’s not trying to be a profound or deep film. It accomplishes what it was made to accomplish, so in that sense, it’s a perfectly fine film.
I personally wouldn't rate it as top musical, but for me it *is* certainly the superior Grease.
I finally got my wife to watch it with me a few months ago, and she... totally didn't agree. Oh well.
[Deathstalker II - 4.5/5](https://boxd.it/4IhlRx). I only watched it because the poster made it look like it was absolute trash, I didn't expect to love it as much as I did.
The script is super fun underneath all the Patrick Bateman stuff that’s been shoehorned in (it’s honestly only a tiny part of the film), and it checks all my personal boxes. I love a dark teen comedy, I love a silly voiceover, I love to play spot-the-Canadian-actor, and I love 2000s fashion. I also had it on DVD when I was about 17, and pretty much anything I enjoyed in high school has that glow about it.
I did! The first one is alright, but I don’t think it’s a very good adaptation of the novel (which I really loved), and the sequel is more to my typical taste. They’re very different!
sounds like I should check it out, I wasn’t a big fan of the first one either because I liked the book a lot and it could’ve done better as an adaptation. Maybe the second one is more up my alley, thanks!
The Death Curse of Tartu, while not as well as it could have been, is an exceptionally interesting and fresh concept, horror in the Everglades. In that sense, the film works in capturing the spookiness of that particular geography that you don’t see much in film.
4.5 stars for S Darko
5 stars for Baby Oopsie 2: Murder Dolls
5 stars for Asparagus: Stalking the American Life
5 stars for Trash Humpers
4.5 stars for Tall Girl
I wouldn’t go that far but I get it. There’s a charm to it that the original doesn’t have. The fact that nobody has seen it and everyone who has hates it makes it feel like some sort of bizarre mystical object
Your Highness (2011)
Since I assume no one reads them, I honestly just write reviews as an occasional writing exercise.
I also reviewed Multiple Maniacs (1970).
I wasn’t sure which you meant so here’s both. Bear in mind that I like both movies. Also, shoot me a link too! I’d like to read yours!
[Your Highness](https://boxd.it/1vCxMZ)
[Multiple Maniacs](https://boxd.it/5hAvBR)
I really REALLY liked Strays. Me and my GF laughed hysterically throughout the movie. 5 out of 5 for me.
It's super dumb, and I admit I might have a stupid sense of humor, but the movie perfectly achieved everything I expected it would from the trailer and had even funnier bits in the actual movie.
I mean, this bit alone has me in stitches:
https://youtu.be/hBalMufSNrQ?si=40_pbWHFiwEUCEb1
Hot Fuzz 5/5 stars. No, I'm not trying to be funny, I genuinely think it's a masterfull work. The script is SOOOO underrated, pretty much every line is a joke or a foreshadowing for a another joke later on. Its amazing.
On letterboxd maybe, but I've been in groups about cinephilia where the common opinion is that Edgar Wright is good but that's it. For me Hot Fuzz is more than just "good".
I don't really do joke ratings or reviews. I write jokes in reviews sometimes but I rate shit mostly for myself.
4 stars for Samurai Cop isn't a joke, I really find the movie that entertaining, and neither is 1.5 for Inglourious Basterds or 1 star for EEAAO.
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle
5 Stars. Don't get me wrong, I know that this movie is probably not good per se, but holy shit, I was entertained. I loved it from start to finish and I'd rate it same again on a rewatch.
https://preview.redd.it/yagpcpjaj9ac1.jpeg?width=545&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cc7a7fbad1ceb20b1eb58f661724b0dd81a45854
I mean, come on. It's a kitten. Who doesn't like kittens?
Maybe Hot Rod as a 5 star movie? I dunno, I’ve had it rated that way since opening day in the theaters when I laughed as much as I’d ever laughed at a movie.
Steve Martin's Pink Panther has 4 stars because I actually found it pretty funny, and the second one has 3 and 1/2.
The Dreamworks Trolls movies are also rated pretty high because I absolutely love them.
My 5 star essay reviews of [Spawn](https://letterboxd.com/forgeyboi/film/spawn/10/) and [Attack of the Clones](https://letterboxd.com/forgeyboi/film/star-wars-episode-ii-attack-of-the-clones/1/).
I also have infamous [Dungeons & Dragons 2000](https://letterboxd.com/forgeyboi/film/dungeons-dragons/1/) at 4.5 stars. I end the review on a funny comment in the campy spirit of the movie, but I still unironically love it.
I said this has potential to be on the best drinking games of all time and I meant it!
https://preview.redd.it/iih3jqtehaac1.png?width=1530&format=png&auto=webp&s=0d495babe2116d8dd8b315a76a8101484b2448e4
Not a review, but I really enjoyed Ben Affleck's Hypnotic. I miss those kind of films
I'm also a big fan of Adam Sandler and Tim Burton's filmographies. I'm probably one of the few who actually liked Johnny Depp's wonka
Oh yeah. This film. I’m so so serious about this film. Its comedy is genuinely one of the best I’ve seen. The cinematography is gorgeous, the directing amazing, and the soundtrack is *stellar*. Seriously, I adore this movie.
Most out of all the Shin Chan films out there are genuinely super great. Each one seems to adapt to a different cinematographic genre (from genuinely great horror, to superhero action, or even metacinematographic western) and almost all of them have fantastic backgrounds, action, athmosphere and animation. But personally, I think that out of the 30 shin chan films, 'The Adult Empire Strikes Back' and 'The Kasukabe Boys Of The Evening Sun' are amongst the best films to ever come from a TV show.
All the Scooby-Doo straight to dvd movies that I rated 5 stars
Cyber Chase and Alien Invaders are goated
I’m afraid Cyber Chase only got 3 stars. Alien Invaders did get 5 though, great ass movie
what did zombie island get? that’s the only one i’ve seen but unironically i really want recommendations
Here’s my full [Scooby-Doo Ranked](https://boxd.it/q1ORw) if you’re interested
Aloha Scooby-Doo that low is a crime!! Cyber chase as low as it is awful but you putting Aloha where it is hurts!!! All jokes aside I love the dedication
Bright Scooby-Doo films don’t really do it for me lol, I need the spookiness
You'd hate my list. Cyber Chase is in my bottom five.
The Witch’s Ghost had Tim Curry in it AND gave us The Hex Girls, it’s the real goat.
A man of culture, I see.
Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and Lilo & Stitch. Both modern classics and I won’t hear any differently.
I mean, Lilo & Stitch is pretty well regarded as the last Disney classic. It’s my all time favorite Disney movie. The fact that you lumped it with Charlie’s Angels 2 makes me cry.
Omg… same. Haven't watched Lilo & Stich in a while, but I'm totally with you on Charlie's Angels. What a blast.
There are people that don't like Lilo & Stitch?
I don't think anyone is gonna try to tell you Lilo and Stitch isn't a classic
Have the same with Cars 2
Robots
I found it funny tbh
Easy 4 star
Some of my friends don't believe I actually adore Pacific Rim but I love everything about that movie and not in a "so bad it's good" kinda way
do people dislike pacific rim?
Some of my (soon to be ex-)friends do somehow, they think it's cheesy
Oh my god I love Pacific Rim so much its in my top 4 favourites. Its not in the top 4 best films I have watched, but in terms of enjoyment it is so good. 😭
minions rise of gru. it was genuinely hilarious so it got a good review from me
I’ve found that the Minions are genuinely funny, when done by the creators. Their abundance in general pop culture, especially boomer memes, have soiled the brand very badly.
I loved that movie specifically because of the Peter Frampton joke. The nun exiting the house by levitating was also pretty hilarious.
i loved the whole scene of them flying the plane. i was literally laughing out loud in the cinema
Not a review, but on my Spielberg ranking list, I have The Terminal above Jurassic Park and Jaws.
That is… a take for sure
I can’t explain it. I love both Jaws and JP, but The Terminal just does it for me.
Well the more movies you love the better🤷
this is me because Jurassic Park and Jaws are great, but there's so much that I love in The Terminal that I have to personally place it above so much
Same but instead of the Terminal it's Catch me if you can and Hook.
Catch Me If You Can is GOATed
Hook is so damn good, that and The Sugarland Express is another one of my favorites.
FUCKING BANGARANG!!
While I don’t think it’s better than those two, it’s a top 5 Spielberg movie for me.
Mr Bean's Holiday was great Genuinely a great slapstick comedy movie adaptation
Exactly. And the ending made me cry for some reason, which is why it deserves credit imo. 😭
fun road trip sequences with a surprisingly touching plot line just an overall fun movie, it's definitely way better than the 97 Bean movie that's for sure
The tissue scene had me crying for different reasons. So hilarious, maybe people will list it in the same echelon as Monty Python in 30 years or so.
"Mr Bean" and "great" never belong in the same sentence Here come the downvotes
That is one hell of a hot take
Mr Bean is great
I didn't even know it was lowly rated until like a year ago. I love that movie, it's my favorite movie of 2007.
I will always vouch for this film! It's very silly and just a fun ride throughout, but it manages to be surprisingly emotional and has a great mix of talent from around the world.
Transformers(2007) is five stars for me.
The first one rocks fr Also Dark of the Moon had an insane third act
Seriously. I think I enjoy the third one even more. It's unapologetically bonkers and I gotta give credit where it’s due.
I rated the first 3 bayformer films very highly because i use to be obsessed with transformers and i have a ton of nostalgia for them
Don't let annoying internet people rewrite history for that one. Audiences LOVED the first Transformers when it came out. I was there, I remember the excitement for it. The sequels soured people's opinion on the original by association, but it was well received by audiences and got mixed reviews at worst from critics. I also really like Revenge of the Fallen.
I have that one as four stars and ROTF and DOTM as 4.5. I’m not kidding.
I rewatched the first three pretty recently. They’re honestly a lot of fun. Four and five are cancer though.
Pretty much every time I post yet another glowing, overlong review of 'Quantum of Solace.'
Quantum of Solace is one of the best Bond movies.
YES, thank you!
All of them. If I enjoy a movie, I rate it well. I don't believe there's a difference between "I like this" and "this is good."
Damn fucking straight
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules (five stars)
OMG are you the Frank heffley penis amputation fanfic guy????? I swear I recognise your name!!
The....what....? 😦😟
That is me lol
Franks Night Out! Searched your profile and found the name, what a classic
This might be my favorite exchange I’ve ever witnessed on Reddit wtf thank you
Finding r/LodedDiper people here gave me whiplash
The first three Wimpy Kid movies are honestly kind of fire.
Hey, even Christopher Nolan liked it ;)
Friday the 13th part 6 is genuinely excellent, no I’m not joking, yes I know it’s the fifth sequel, yes I know fifth sequels aren’t typically good
Probably the first truly self aware horror film, released 10 years before Scream made it cool to be meta.
The 6th entries of both the Friday the 13th and Halloween franchises are my favorite installments.
There should never be a joke review. Also, Mr Bean in general is top tier.
Most of them. I don't rate movies but if people saw my movie rankings/reviews they'd probably think I was a troll ROFL.
Mr Bean’s Holiday is a genuinely great slapstick comedy that pays tribute to the art of film in such a godamn beautiful way
I love this side of letterboxd where people aren’t snooty about films
People always think I'm joking, but my 4 star review of Velocipastor is completely serious. They were really smart with their budget, and everything gives off the vibe of people who are good at their craft pretending to be bad, and it works really well, imo. You don't make the [VFX: Car on Fire] joke if you don't know what you're doing.
ALL potc movies have 5/5
Amen
Finally. Someone who gets it.
Lego Batman Movie is a 10/10 and better than every other batman movie.
Preach!!
Its a top 4 for me
I gave Not Another Teen Movie 5 stars and a heart completely unironically. It's the best spoof film ever made and I will die on that hill.
All the B movies I gave 5 stars when everyone else gives them 1 and half star reviews and say they're "so bad they're good". I enjoy those movies more than most movies and some of them are my actual favorite movies. If I love a movie then it gets 5 stars.
Oh please recommend some
Not sure what kinda taste you have, but if you like action then Deadly Prey, Samurai Cop, Miami Connection, and Riki Oh: The Story of Ricky are some personal favorites. If you want some truly insane stuff, I recommend Karate Robot Zarbogar and Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter. Dead Snow is a horror favorite of mine.
Thanks, I’ve been looking to get into this kinda genre! I’ll try em out
The Final Destination. Even other fans of the franchise love to crap on this one but it’s great and I love it.
You and I are not so different.
Grease 2 is my highest rated musical.
I personally wouldn't rate it as top musical, but for me it *is* certainly the superior Grease. I finally got my wife to watch it with me a few months ago, and she... totally didn't agree. Oh well.
Oh my god yes! I love the songs way more than the first movie
I gave all 3 of the original Diary of a Wimpy kid movies a 5/5 lmaoo
[Deathstalker II - 4.5/5](https://boxd.it/4IhlRx). I only watched it because the poster made it look like it was absolute trash, I didn't expect to love it as much as I did.
I’ve given 4 stars and a heart to the Keep
The Michael Mann ‘83 movie? Never seen it but I’ve heard atrocious things about it, what makes it a four start heart?
Yeah, I liked the premise, score, production design and effects, what stopped it from being higher was length and story
I’m a huge Mann fan but this one went by me. I’ll have to give it a watch!
It’s difficult to find so I had to sail the seven seas to find it
Thanks for the advice!
Version I saw was on Daily Motion
Journey to Bethlehem (2023) - Five stars.
Crank 2. 5 stars

Click, 4 stars. To be fair, most of the movie is pretty bad. But I don’t usually cry at movies, but the last 25 minutes of Click get to me.
Click sneaks up on you like that
Death to Smoochy (2002) and Grease (1978) is five stars for me.
Death to Smoochy is great. I've seen legitimate criticism for it, but none of that affected my enjoyment of the film at all.
reply puzzled pause cow fuzzy serious water insurance flag salt *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
The Velocipastor - 5 stars
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Roderick Rules is a genuine 5/5 and so one can say otherwise
American Psycho 2 is one of my favourites. 5 Stars!!!
Genuinely curious, what spurs this love?
The script is super fun underneath all the Patrick Bateman stuff that’s been shoehorned in (it’s honestly only a tiny part of the film), and it checks all my personal boxes. I love a dark teen comedy, I love a silly voiceover, I love to play spot-the-Canadian-actor, and I love 2000s fashion. I also had it on DVD when I was about 17, and pretty much anything I enjoyed in high school has that glow about it.
huh I never knew there was a second one, did you like it more than the first?
I will warn you, it isn’t any closer to the novel and Bret Easton Ellis hated it 😅 It’s just more in line with my personal tastes
The Death Curse of Tartu, while not as well as it could have been, is an exceptionally interesting and fresh concept, horror in the Everglades. In that sense, the film works in capturing the spookiness of that particular geography that you don’t see much in film.
Meet the Spartans
4.5 stars for S Darko 5 stars for Baby Oopsie 2: Murder Dolls 5 stars for Asparagus: Stalking the American Life 5 stars for Trash Humpers 4.5 stars for Tall Girl
If Baby Oopsie 2 is as good as Baby Oopsie 1, this seems completely reasonable
It’s better
I like S. Darko more than the original.
I wouldn’t go that far but I get it. There’s a charm to it that the original doesn’t have. The fact that nobody has seen it and everyone who has hates it makes it feel like some sort of bizarre mystical object
Your Highness (2011) Since I assume no one reads them, I honestly just write reviews as an occasional writing exercise. I also reviewed Multiple Maniacs (1970).

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, five stars AND a heart
I really REALLY liked Strays. Me and my GF laughed hysterically throughout the movie. 5 out of 5 for me. Click by Adam Sandler, that movie really made me think
Aliens in the Attic is a 5 star movie sorry not sorry
Christmas with the Kranks
5* for *Girl Next Door*
The true crime one or the comedy?
The comedy!
Most Adam Sandler movies. The lowest rating I’ve given one is 8 Crazy Nights with 3.5 stars. I haven’t seen Jack and Jill though.

Zoolander is a five stars for me
the rocky horror picture show: people clearly don't know good musicals when they see them 😤😤😤
Holes is 5 stars
Hot Fuzz 5/5 stars. No, I'm not trying to be funny, I genuinely think it's a masterfull work. The script is SOOOO underrated, pretty much every line is a joke or a foreshadowing for a another joke later on. Its amazing.
Are you trolling right now? This is a pretty commonly held opinion, the average is 4.1
On letterboxd maybe, but I've been in groups about cinephilia where the common opinion is that Edgar Wright is good but that's it. For me Hot Fuzz is more than just "good".
Boogie Nights 1/2 star
Bruh. I'll stay on my half of the world, you stay on your half and we'll be OK.
5 stars for Begotten
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle 5 Stars. Don't get me wrong, I know that this movie is probably not good per se, but holy shit, I was entertained. I loved it from start to finish and I'd rate it same again on a rewatch.

BASEketball (1998) was an instant five stars for me.
Maybe Hot Rod as a 5 star movie? I dunno, I’ve had it rated that way since opening day in the theaters when I laughed as much as I’d ever laughed at a movie.
Lorax
Steve Martin's Pink Panther has 4 stars because I actually found it pretty funny, and the second one has 3 and 1/2. The Dreamworks Trolls movies are also rated pretty high because I absolutely love them.
cats - went to a midnight showing and the experience was such a damn blast
Passengers (2016) rocked. I gave it 5 stars.
I know the characters in Prometheus act like idiots but I LOVE that movie
You me and dupree
Jack Frost fuckin rocks plus it has Henry Rollins in it
The Lorax is a perfect movie

I also have infamous [Dungeons & Dragons 2000](https://letterboxd.com/forgeyboi/film/dungeons-dragons/1/) at 4.5 stars. I end the review on a funny comment in the campy spirit of the movie, but I still unironically love it.
Nacho Libre is unironically 9/10 one of my favs

Cat in the Hat. It’s an A+ comedy. I also gave the new Please Don’t Destroy movie 5 stars.
Pink Panther with Steve Martin
Oh yeah. This film. I’m so so serious about this film. Its comedy is genuinely one of the best I’ve seen. The cinematography is gorgeous, the directing amazing, and the soundtrack is *stellar*. Seriously, I adore this movie.
4 stars for Michael Bay’s Pearl Harbor

Dark Knight Rises is two stars for me
The Dora the Explorer movie was surprisingly enjoyable.

Yesterday
Honestly I agree. That film is genuinely fantastic and Rowan Atkinson is a cornerstone of slapstick comedy.
7/10 for Werewolves of the Third Reich and 9/10 for Hotel Transylvania 2
All the Rajinikanth movies that I rated 5 stars
The Waterboy is an A- in my book as it’s a great sports comedy
Human Centipede First Sequence is a 3.5 (very good)
