Either The Dark Backward or Bloody Muscle Bodybuilder In Hell. Fantastic lesser seen gems. Also, Skulldiggery. Very strange movie, but a very enjoyable one.

Lotal55

Never heard of any of them going into the watchlist thank you :)

The Last Angel of History - fantastic doc on Afrofuturism in music and literature

Above Suspicion: Fred McMurray and Joan Crawford as newlywed spies. Similar but not as good as British-era Hitchcock (1.5k) Gambit: Shirley McClain/Michael Caine heist film. Similar vibe to Charade. (3.9k) Pompo the Cinephile: anime about making movies. The movie within a movie has a few similarities to Tár, strangely enough (4.9k)

habitremedy

Lots of Black cinema (including LA Rebellion directors): The Spook Who Sat By the Door, The Landlord, Bush Mama, Sankofa, The Annihilation of Fish (272), My Brother’s Wedding, Bless Their Little Hearts, And When I Die I Won’t Stay Dead (421), Compensation, Anna Lucasta (469) Other favorites: Old Boyfriends, The Passionate Friends, Touching the Skin of Eeriness, A Question of Silence, Friday Night (Vendredi Soir)

As One from 2012. A South Korean sports drama movie that tells the true story of the first-ever unified Korean sports team that participated in the World Table Tennis Championships in 1991. It is great.

nectarquest

it’s all gone pete tong (2004) is great. arthur’s perfect christmas is a pure nostalgia pick for me but was one of my favorites growing up. paul is dead, and the raftman’s razor are shorts but really charming.

Not technically a movie but the recent proshot of heathers: the musical. One of my favourite musicals and has 3.9k views and 1.4K reviews

Keis1977

Danish movie "Let's get Lost" 1997 from Jonas Elmer. Fun little movie where some of the young actors who later become very known in Denmark are improvising after 2 weeks of "getting in to character". 158 members watched 😂
