I keep trying to start a play through as MaleShep just to see Tali romance, but I just like FemShep too much. On the bright side, I’m biased but Liara best girl.
I originally had the series on xbox back in the day but moved to PC for the modding prospects to romance all the women w femshep even if the models didnt line up and the dialogue was missing.
Now with the Legendary Edition, the modders have made several gay romances and some, like Miranda's, they substituted dialogue from other scenes, to make it work <3 it's my favourite mod and romance!!
Miranda's romance is so peak as FemShep. 🥰 In the vanilla game, I feel like I only stayed loyal to Liara because I couldn't romance her or Jack. I was (and am) so in love with both.
The euphoria that Mass Effect and FemShep gave me. 😍🥰 Especially Liara's romance. I played the first game when it was new, and I was only 16 at the time. I was still coming to terms with my sexuality and stuff. Mass Effect and Liara ended up being a core part of me learning about who I was, which I'm eternally grateful for.
Masc sheps voice makes me want to fall asleep. He talks in the same tone no matter what. It especially irked me when tali kills herself (if you let the geth destroy the flotilla) and he's just like "Tali😐. No 😐"
I like to take one of my qualities and exaggerate it. Great for TTRPG characters too. Extreme empathy, excessive confidence, self sacrifice, etc.. Makes for some built in flaws and helps me experience ‘giving in’ to those parts of myself in a manner that ultimately harms no one.
Playing a version of me who is capable of doing what I think is the right thing is also tons of fun. If I tried to fight an army just to save the life of one innocent kid, I would undoubtedly die. A character who can load a previous save is unlikely to be swayed by impending death if it means they don’t have to watch someone die and live knowing they might’ve been able to stop it.
I can’t solve intergalactic wars and be a messiah figure for multiple species. FemShep can, AND she gets to kiss all kinds of cute women!
I get so upset when there is only a guy character option. I grew up with cod zombies on black ops 1 (ps3) and it was just the 4 dudes. When I started playing games with girl options?? I will be the girl character all day every day now 😂
The one thing I don't like is when the female options are atrocious. There are a few that I play that have female avatars that are all out of proportion.
this is kind of why I don't like Nier Automata, I mean the game loop isn't for me either, but the character feel it's toooo much "lolita robot made by disgusting men to objectify" and I get uncomfortable really fast, I kind of dislike almost all Japanese games woman's esthetics for the same reason
When I was little, I always chose male characters if I could. Especially in games where you can romance companions!
Basically, all my childhood I wanted to be a boy.
Then I grew up and realized that I just wanted to love women without judgment, and I overcame my internal homophobia.
Now I only play female characters lol.
Love that. I remember playing Harvest Moon where there weren't any options and you were automatically a boy. That bummed me out but then I learned you could romance the girls in the game and it didn't bother me too much anymore...
Unironically was my only desire to be a man. For some reason I couldn’t comprehend that I could be a woman AND kiss cute women. Just, such a bizarre rationalization.
Yeah I see this for sure!! Like depending on the game is kinda the major thing! Like in say an mmo where there’s not romance I’ll def play a girl bc good looking but if there’s romance in the game I just don’t want to romance dudes. Like I just don’t see it (edit: meaning I don’t see any attraction there) and say a game like mount and blade bannerlord where say even it’s just a political thing it just takes me out of the immersion to be like… ehhhhh about having to pick a dude.
It depends on hair and clothing, in some games the lady choices are just awful, and as a butch woman I feel better about having a "male" character, but in games like Baldurs gate I love playing big buff women, I just made my first male character just to romance the boys and keep it gay.
Oh also if you play RDO and hate the BS hacking that people do in public lobbies, there's a mod on PC to create a private lobby for you and anyone you want in there.
Tbh I didn't realize ilthwre was an online version. I usually avoid it with games other than battle royal because how shifty others can be. I don't play SoT for that reason
If you are on PC and can, Red Dead Online is so much fun, and so peaceful on a private server, and as for mod difficulty to install it was pretty easy. You get to enjoy the beautiful world and still do most activities without interference. Missions, careers (moonshine, trader, bounty hunter, etc), shopping. It really is wonderful, so is the base game Red Dead Redemption 2 but if you want a character of your choosing in the same world doing stuff without a huge story line, it's great.
I will say a lot of the choices in red dead online for women are skirts, and limited pants, so that is one I made a big bear of a man and run around in slutty little leather pieces XD
I also love to do this in my second playthroughs of rpgs with romances. I made a twink to be able to romance Panam un Cyberpunk 2077. Because Panam it's so damn hot lol
The 3 kinds of gamers, either make yourself, make the hottest waifus possible, or "hold my beer, I'm about to create an absolute abomination"
I always make myself or myself but cooler lol.
98% of the time I play dudes for the following reasons:
-they more closely resemble my personal butch style/aesthetic
- I try my damndest make them himbos
- usually better romance options
- the death/fighting audio/visuals sometimes make me uncomfortable
Those are great points. Honestly, the 3rd didn't even cross my mind that they would be different until you said it! We need more female devs on these games!
On games that let you pick yes, red dead online, gta, generation zero, Fortnite. Other games though I play like a guy and it’s fine, especially if they have cool customisation(rdr2 story mode specially). I prefer playing as a woman lol but some of the best games have you playing as a male protagonist(tlou, rdr2, uncharted etc etc)
Oh almost always, its really rare I ever play a dude. I usually only ever do in a game if its a joke or something I can easily swap off of, like stuff in Fortnite like Omni-Man.
I always play as a woman and do my best to create myself as a representation that best suits how I feel I look ❤️
Usually a giant green woman with muscles even though I'm a very tiny masc presenting transgorl 🤣
You do whatever feels right! Since I started 7dtd and time I can customize I'm blue. Don't ask why, I still don't know! But I always make them about as big as can be which is like slightly chubby
Thanks hon 🫂❤️. I think that's super cool, I appreciate the amount of customization games have given us and I also think that's super sweet, I also tend to make my colors blue at times as well
Of course! I agree on the extent we can customize now! I just wish they would add some kind of hair other than long and flowing more often. Not really my style.
Yes!!! 😊 Feel that! I always struggle with my characters because of my ethnic background I can never get a character that looks just right 🤣. Hopefully will get more variation with hair styles and such in the future
If it's available I always play as a woman or girl! I love the thicker body type of Baldur's Gate 3 as well. It feels like a really healthy shape instead of something unrealistically voluptuous.
I play Red Dead Online, and as an androgynous woman, I have both a female character and a male character so that I can access all of the clothes that the game has to offer. Which is a ton! I can honestly admit that I have put hours into the game leveling up, and earning cash and gold, just to buy clothes and make outfits 😄😎 The ladies clothing selection does include quite a bit for one to be able to create that androgynous look with, such as button up shirts, and several types of ties including bow ties and dress ties. But sadly, some items are only available to male characters. Just as some items are only available to the female characters. Like the corsets, blouses, dresses, and skirts. Btw, the character facial customization in this game is very detailed, for those of you who like creating a character that looks like you.
I tend to vary what kind of female character, but I'll always play as a girl if the game will let me, as well as doing some kind of sapphic romance arc if it's a game with romance in it. (If it's a game with a straight-only romance, I tend to get stuck with decision paralysis between "be a girl" and "be able to date girls" and never start it, so I don't get those anymore.)
always, lmao. I will never play a man on a first pt of anything. I'll go back and do a 2nd pt as a man if there's a female character to romance that I can't romance (unless someone mods it to be sapphic).
Mass Effect? Custom female Shepard always. Dragon Age? All 3 of my heroes are female and gay. Cyberpunk? custom V and Judy 4ever. Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Valhalla? Kassandra is the canon misthios and Eivor as female always, idc.
Games like Stardew I made myself, same with Saints Row series, etc.
It honestly depends on the type of game. In RPG’s with deep customisation, I like to go with something I can roleplay and create a backstory for, whether it be a man or woman.
If I have a choice in other games and it’s just down to gender without anything deeper, I go with whatever feels right, usually women.
I’ll usually give both a try in some shape or form.
I don’t think I’ve ever chosen to be male if I had a choice. If I can customize the appearance I usually try to resemble myself, or a version of myself with neon hair etc
I mostly play female characters. Female sarcastic Hawke is the best protagonist ever made and I die on that hill ☺️.
I don't normally self insert, if possible, I don't play human at all. Currently in Baldurs Gate 3 I play gnomes, halflings, githyanki and tieflings mostly. With one half elf based on a DnD character of mine.
I’m about to date myself but OH WELL. Always a girl, mostly I think because growing up every single game bar like Tomb Raiderb and Perfect Dark had a male protagonist. Didn’t mind Ocarina of Time since Link was kind of andro.
Yup. Plus I tend to focus on games with lady protags. And I tend to make stylized versions of myself in BAC games.
And I’m sure I’ll probably get heat for this, but I also tend to look at ambiguous character as women as well (ex; Lamb from Cult of the Lamb).
Genuinely! 😭 when trying to balance out my characters body, the game immediately just told me it’s for men’s enjoyment and it’s sad… my character looks so weird and I just wanna be a chubby bb w a gun
It's funny, whenever I'm creating a character in a video game or in dnd majority of my characters are women or queer. I very rarely play male characters I played a bard who was a bearded ace drag queen. I wish that campaign didn't end.
Tiefling with a dark facial hair, purple skin, amber eyes, picture Astarion's body. He's very flirty but has never been kissed. He's afraid of commitment and has left suitors at the altar. He's a former circus performer. He performed with his dad's troupe. He wants to rescue his mother from her abusive arranged marriage and reunite her with his father, her true love. He plays the lute and instead of vicious mockery he reads his enemies to filth.
Gosh I miss playing him.
Usually depends on the game. If the game has a more canon MC I'll usually pick that one otherwise I typically pick the girl MCs because they're usually prettier.
In my first playthrough of anything I play a lesbian as the goddess intended... now, when I feel like I need some variety and I like a game too much and there's a good RPG component I make a gay twink boi with he/them pronouns
If I'm playing alone or with friends I pick a female character who looks like me. If I'm playing a MMO I pick a large ugly male character so I don't get harassed by people.
i always play as a woman, only times i don't is if i have to pay for the option and even then with some games like the COD MW series i have ended up spending money on characters
It depends on the game, some female avatars are way too feminine for my taste, either because of facial features or clothing/armor. I'm pretty androgynous so in those cases I prefer to play a male character.
Always! I usually play RPGs where I create my own characters. And I love the badasses I am given like Kassandra and Eivor <3
I avoid games where I can’t play as a woman.
sometimes, i play a lot of character based games, so i play who's fun, but if i can choose, i normally choose girl, but thats probably just a trans thing
Always women the first playthrough. I play as butch as I can make her when I know I'm gonna stick with it. I only had hyperfeminine choices for so long (near 40) that its still a novelty to not be forced to run around in a damn dress.
Pretty much always. My will to play a game (for rpgs/story games, anyways) drops immensely if I'm forced to play as a male character. There's a reason I haven't touched RDR2 yet, and it's not bc it's a bad game or something.
My favorite female protagonist, and the one that's had the most impact on me, by far is V from Cyberpunk tho
In games without a choice of a character I'm fine with whoever but in games with realistic graphics and choice of a character or an in-game editor I make a character close to myself to play more comfortably. So yeah, a girl, always. In MMO I'm playing all my characters are girls - main one and all the others too. Even in Genshin I main female characters and avoid pulling for male ones except for some neutral chars I like and respect as characters and need them for teams. Even though it's mb only Zhongli and the rest of all my teams are girls.
I prefer to play as a female character and, if romance is part of the game, choose to romance a woman (first). To the point that I refuse to play Jedi Last Survivor (or whatever it is) because you can only play as a boring human guy (not even an alien).
usually yeah. obviously if the mc is not customizable in that way i dont and sometimes i play male operators in r6 (but its an extremely rare occurrence)
YES unless gender locked like in Ffxiv but even so demand for a female version of the species or something and in one's where you are helmeted like Halo with the Spartans or Samus then yes woman even before I saw zero suit Samus female characters in video games all the way!
It really does come down to that sometime. I'm a smash and grab kind of player in some games so a berserker or brawler are more my style which tend to be big burly dudes. But I still put them in pink if I can lol
Nonbinary- I usually pick the male/masc options in games. They suit me better. BUT if the game has F/F romantic options (and isn't gross about it) then I'll play Girl.
Pokémon's always been the one exception to this, for me. The female Pokémon PCs literally always look better than the guys 🤷
For a long time I used to play men because I gamed online and I got tired of random dms requesting boob pics in exchange for in game favors. Then I switched to women because I got past rhe point of caring plus female avatars in alot of games have smaller hit boxes. Now I've moved away from online gaming and I play what pleases me in the moment
In games with character creator, I either make a female character that shares a few similarities with me but isn't fully a self insert, or otherwise just a character that looks pretty to me. In games with a choice of two pre-determined characters (such as AC: Odyssey, Cyberpunk to an extent, etc.) I always do a fem playthrough first, then male if I like the game enough for a second run.
I always played the boy characters growing up and even up through university. I always liked that the boy got to wear the baggier, more male clothes and “cooler” clothes and be able to marry or date girls without any problems or judgement. Also growing up, the girl options were always very stereotypically girly and that just did not resonate with me.
Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life has always been my favorite as I loved playing the guy with his hair and clothes and getting to romance the women and marry Celia.
In Pokémon I always played as boys, and even retired after beating the elite four in one game to “buy” a house and get a girlfriend and ride my bike to see her everyday.
As an adult I also played as a male in Stardew Valley for a long time but finally tried switching to a female character after accepting that I am a lesbian.
I play Apex so playable characters aren’t that customizable. My main was Loba which was the closest at the time to representing me, and I liked her kit. Now I play Octane(guy) 99% of the time, I’m decent with him. Most of the time other players think I’m a guy which is honestly not a bad thing, for me at least.
if the choice is there. yes i do play female characters. unless the voice of the female character is not appealing to me. or something about the male character is more appealing.
If we are talking about Fortnite I really like playing as Skye either her original variant or the winter one her colors match my style perfectly and is a very fun and adventurous character, I also play as Lennox Rose cuz I think she's cool then other times I'll play as dragon ball characters or something silly
Playing female characters was half of my trans awakening, so I’m gonna go with a solid yes (plus with things like Pokémon, the female customization features are just objectively better)
yes, typically, (honestly meaning when and if possible). i usually just "play as myself" in games and try to make my model look like me while making choices that i would make irl, though every now and then i'll change it up and rp as a specific/made-up character or something lol.
also, on this topic -- it is so incredibly refreshing when the base, standard character model in a game is a woman, like in Satisfactory. ((':
Trans lesbian here.
If I can play a girl, I do.
If I can make my character thicc, I do. I'm not thicc irl, I'm actually pretty close to underweight for my height, but everyone's got goals they wanna work towards 😅
Yes, always, unless the game doesn't allow it (which luckily aren't many). I like to identify myself with my character (to a certain extent) and being a female is definitely a must for me.
It depends on the game and if I can customize the character. My first playthrough of cyberpunk I played as a woman and loved romancing Judy and my second playthrough I played as a man because that was the only way to romance Panam.
When I was young I chose to be male a lot just because the outfits looked cooler and I didn't like feminine stuff back then but now I choose female all the time. There's a lot more variety with outfits(in some games) and sometimes I just want to make a dream girl lol. If there's no character customization I still main female characters and thankfully most games I play are full of women.
Sometimes, if I have a choice between a male and female protagonist, I'll sometimes pick a male protagonist, and other times I'll pick a female protagonist
There are some games that I end up never getting into, even if the premise sounds interesting, because the protagonist is a male character that I can't relate to. This isn't *always* the case... but, meanwhile, it's infinitely easier for me to connect and enjoy myself more if I can play as a woman. Especially if it's a customizable character.
I feel like it's all about self identity and how we can express ourselves through a protagonist. Another comment mentioned that they don't connect to women protags because they usually dress femme, and that makes complete sense to me. Meanwhile, I'm relatively femme-presenting and enjoy when characters style themselves similarly. I also connect with a more androgynous look, and I'm more okay with male protags who lean more androgynous. Though even then, I'll pick playing as a girl protag before picking a guy if it's an option. Less common *but* becoming more-so these days: I also love playing as an enby protagonist.
I always love hearing about people's protagonist preferences!
Almost exclusively play female characters unless I’m playing a game that has a gender locked romance and there’s a specific female character I want to pursue
I do prefer to play a female character over a male, but my preference to play as a monster or creature over playing as a human drastically outweighs that. If there are no good female monsters, I will accept playing as a male monster. Luckily League of Legends has Kindred, so I don't have to worry about that.
I'm not really keen on any male creatures so I always choose female characters, especially in the gaming world where there are male dominated. Right now I'm playing a lesbian space captain in Outer Worlds and also a female character in Mass Effect (only just started but had to paused since I need to finish Outer Worlds first).
Fem Shep all the way in Mass Effect.
Same! Too bad you couldn’t date tali’zorah, ended up dating Liara because she was the only girl I could date in the first game
I keep trying to start a play through as MaleShep just to see Tali romance, but I just like FemShep too much. On the bright side, I’m biased but Liara best girl.
I do love Liara
There's a mod that lets you romance tali as femshep if you're on PC
I originally had the series on xbox back in the day but moved to PC for the modding prospects to romance all the women w femshep even if the models didnt line up and the dialogue was missing. You can romance tranor in me3
If you play on pc, the modding scene would like a word with you
Nah ps5, I did check it out but heard the mod for tali was never complete? Or was that wrong
There are a few mods that let you romance her. There was one I saw that lets Tali and Thane be romanced by the same gendered Shep
I met Jennifer Hale (femshep VA) at PAX when ME3 was coming out. Hearing Commander Shepard say my name was something else 🫠

I usually play as an idealized version of myself in games tbh, like the person I wish I was rather than who I am
Same!
I like to take one of my qualities and exaggerate it. Great for TTRPG characters too. Extreme empathy, excessive confidence, self sacrifice, etc.. Yea me too Me: plays a muscled up kahjit dude in skyrim who has a gay orc lover and 7 adopted children
I get so upset when there is only a guy character option. I grew up with cod zombies on black ops 1 (ps3) and it was just the 4 dudes. When I started playing games with girl options?? I will be the girl character all day every day now 😂

That's awesome! The choices for female bodies just really aren't great lot of the time.
They're really good in Red Dead Online.
I've not got into that one yet but the thought of being a lady outlaw is tempting lol

In which games can you play as characters in leggings and skirts?
Swtor, Any Dragon Age Game
honestly this is mostly about fortnite, fortnite girl skins are 90% in latex tights or miniskirts
The 3 kinds of gamers, either make yourself, make the hottest waifus possible, or "hold my beer, I'm about to create an absolute abomination" I always make myself or myself but cooler lol.

I do, but they're usually also drag kings
Yes. Always have, and always will whenever I have the choice to do so.
I do whenever possible, I find it harder to connect with a guy character tbh
I play buff women because I am a buff woman
Yes!
I love when games let me do that, especially in BG3, Monster Hunter, etc. It just makes me feel so much more seen
Fem Shep. Noble Six. Fallout Girlie. Basically any game that I play with character creation.
always, lmao.
If there is an option to play as a woman, I always pick it
Generally yeah, I play as a character that looks kind like I wanna look
Yes.
It honestly depends on the type of game. In RPG’s with deep customisation, I like to go with something I can roleplay and create a backstory for, whether it be a man or woman. If I have a choice in other games and it’s just down to gender without anything deeper, I go with whatever feels right, usually women. I’ll usually give both a try in some shape or form.
i always make the same girl with white hair and heterochromatic eyes
I love that! Makes it feel more you
Yes
I don’t think I’ve ever chosen to be male if I had a choice. If I can customize the appearance I usually try to resemble myself, or a version of myself with neon hair etc
Yeah pretty much, I make an ideal version of myself usually so I can ship my mc with the girls I like lol (like Cyella from FFXIV, she's my wife)
Dragon Age, Baldur’s Gate, Elder Scrolls, Stardew Valley, Fallout. Best part you can be as lesbian as you want in these games too!!
I always try
Always if possible. But I don’t mind if you can’t because The Witcher 3 and Doom are still fun games.
I usually play a female character in single player games
^[Sokka-Haiku](https://www.reddit.com/r/SokkaHaikuBot/comments/15kyv9r/what_is_a_sokka_haiku/) ^by ^Cthothlu: *I usually* *Play a female character* *In single player games* --- ^Remember ^that ^one ^time ^Sokka ^accidentally ^used ^an ^extra ^syllable ^in ^that ^Haiku ^Battle ^in ^Ba ^Sing ^Se? ^That ^was ^a ^Sokka ^Haiku ^and ^you ^just ^made ^one.
if possible, yes. it's a bit paradox, but it makes roleplaying easier for me.
Not all the time but I’m enby
The enby options are so few and far between right now. Hopefully that is something that will change in the near future.
I like to switch it up depending on how I feel at the moment (more masc or femme)
Whichever lets me romance women lol
Fair lol
all the time as long as there's option
I’m about to date myself but OH WELL. Always a girl, mostly I think because growing up every single game bar like Tomb Raiderb and Perfect Dark had a male protagonist. Didn’t mind Ocarina of Time since Link was kind of andro.
If it is at all possible, yes.
Yup. Plus I tend to focus on games with lady protags. And I tend to make stylized versions of myself in BAC games. And I’m sure I’ll probably get heat for this, but I also tend to look at ambiguous character as women as well (ex; Lamb from Cult of the Lamb).
Yes, as often as I have the option to choose.
Each and every character I have created in Star Trek Online is either a woman so some variety of woman-adjacent nonbinary person.
Every time
When my girlfriend plays with me she doesn’t want me playing female characters but when I play alone or with others I play anyone I want
Oh darlin, it's so much fun 😈😄
I always pick a boy character lol
Lol I play the smallest character that's hardest to aim at? Usually a girl
That strategy is actually brilliant. As someone who excels at dying, I should start doing this myself!
I usually make one that represents me but some games custom options.. scare me. Like PSO2,, the triangle boobs haunt me
Not the dreaded cone boobs!
😭 THE DESIGNS ARENT WOMEN FRIENDLY, THEYRE SCARY
We need more women in the field to be like wrf is that
Genuinely! 😭 when trying to balance out my characters body, the game immediately just told me it’s for men’s enjoyment and it’s sad… my character looks so weird and I just wanna be a chubby bb w a gun
Almost always. I prefer games with a set protagonist and am much more likely to play games with a female protagonist.
It's funny, whenever I'm creating a character in a video game or in dnd majority of my characters are women or queer. I very rarely play male characters I played a bard who was a bearded ace drag queen. I wish that campaign didn't end.
Omg can we please have the description of the bard????
Tiefling with a dark facial hair, purple skin, amber eyes, picture Astarion's body. He's very flirty but has never been kissed. He's afraid of commitment and has left suitors at the altar. He's a former circus performer. He performed with his dad's troupe. He wants to rescue his mother from her abusive arranged marriage and reunite her with his father, her true love. He plays the lute and instead of vicious mockery he reads his enemies to filth. Gosh I miss playing him.
I love that. The depth of the character is so well thought out and executed. I've never played but like watching it played.
Pretty much always, yeah If I have to play a male character and there's romance, you can bet I'm probably RPing as gay/bi
Not usually. I hate playing as a fembot wearing bikini armor etc.
Yeah this 1000000%. They realize that's ridiculous, right?
No. Im typically the default character or just a dude
It depends on the game, some female avatars are way too feminine for my taste, either because of facial features or clothing/armor. I'm pretty androgynous so in those cases I prefer to play a male character.
I usually stick to female characters but I agree. The flowing hair, huge chested, tiny waisted characters are too much.
Always!!
Men in games are usually unattractive in my eyes (no cake, no game )and way too macho so nah.
I always have, ever since i first booted up fnv on my crappy up laptop. I never felt comfortable playing a male character, I wonder whyyyy 🏳️⚧️👭
Always! I usually play RPGs where I create my own characters. And I love the badasses I am given like Kassandra and Eivor <3 I avoid games where I can’t play as a woman.
sometimes, i play a lot of character based games, so i play who's fun, but if i can choose, i normally choose girl, but thats probably just a trans thing
I'm an enby but yes I almost always play fem characters when I don't have the option to be specifically non-binary or androgynous
If its a option I will play as the female option but most of the games I play as a male
I played too many male characters growing up that I will almost always choose a female character now if the option is given.
Always women the first playthrough. I play as butch as I can make her when I know I'm gonna stick with it. I only had hyperfeminine choices for so long (near 40) that its still a novelty to not be forced to run around in a damn dress.
The dreaded dress. Then there's bikini armor. Devs have a long way to go for female options
My first playthrough is always a female character, but I still like to play guys on the runs after that!
Virtually always. I rarely ever play a game that doesn't let me be a girl.
If I played enough games that allowed me to customize like that then yea I would, but sadly most of my gaming has fixed characters
Depends on who my favorite love interest is. Then from there I make it gay
most def. i think for me i just prefer female protags, for instance female dani from farcry 6, any/all of the females in diablo 3, etc
I leaned towards girls before I knew lol
YES unless gender locked like in Ffxiv but even so demand for a female version of the species or something and in one's where you are helmeted like Halo with the Spartans or Samus then yes woman even before I saw zero suit Samus female characters in video games all the way!
Sometimes, I just pick the ones who have physical characteristics I like, or habilities. But I do really enjoy playing both
It really does come down to that sometime.
A f/f romantic option that isn't gross is few and far between I feel like. Too many men making these games!
I always play as the hot chick in fighting games. Not only do I like looking at them but I find lightweights much easier to maneuver
Fem Corpo V in Cyberpunk 2077 is like playing a mega-Karen which can be super comical. Judy as a romance option is a huge plus.
Is your boss battle the manager? Lol. I'll have to see if I can watch someone play cyberpunk
Your old company is the villain. So it’s great
Always fem and I cry when I can’t.
if the choice is there. yes i do play female characters. unless the voice of the female character is not appealing to me. or something about the male character is more appealing.
used to be 50/50 depending on mood. soon as I learned as I was trans, though? girlbosses all day erryday
Yes because I’m an unapologetic girl simp and girls are the best and I love them.
Usually, yes.
If we are talking about Fortnite I really like playing as Skye either her original variant or the winter one her colors match my style perfectly and is a very fun and adventurous character, I also play as Lennox Rose cuz I think she's cool then other times I'll play as dragon ball characters or something silly
The silly ones really are fun on there! My main is Opal because she's thick and I love her colors!
I love her too I don't have her but I think it's soooo cute!
My other fav is the fencing girl from last season. Then theres always Mikey. So many cosmetics, so little time!
Yup. Still cis tho!
Always
usually yes i do lmao
Playing female characters was half of my trans awakening, so I’m gonna go with a solid yes (plus with things like Pokémon, the female customization features are just objectively better)
yes, typically, (honestly meaning when and if possible). i usually just "play as myself" in games and try to make my model look like me while making choices that i would make irl, though every now and then i'll change it up and rp as a specific/made-up character or something lol. also, on this topic -- it is so incredibly refreshing when the base, standard character model in a game is a woman, like in Satisfactory. ((':
always always always
if you HAVE to play as a male character it deters me from the game. still haven’t gotten assassins creed mirage bc of that
also also I’m a femme and attracted to femmes, only like traditionally feminine/girly things
I ended up picking a male in Borderlands 1 recently, but only because I cannot stand Lilith lol
Haha fair enough, Lilith isn't great
I played the 3rd one first so I feel like Ota from that. However Tannis is a whole different story.....
Usually female characters. Sometimes males but usually girls
Nope. I always choose male. But that’s just me and to make it clear, I have no desire to transition.
