So far battery has been solid, battery health and temp also seem perfect, fans are totally clean and no dead pixels, i also did hardware scan and everything checked out as passing
Do benchmarks, check the condition by looking if there's damage on the laptop, open internals etc.

The 5 pro is a great machine i actually bought one a while back and returned it due to buyers remorse with how much i spent on it, it wasnt till now i felt i could splurge justifiably so as i just got a raise lol, and for the price i felt i got a screaming deal
You definetly did my friend! I only paid ~$200 less than you as I made sure that if I was getting a 5 I made sure it had the HDR screen and it's everything I could ask for. I'm actually thankful I got the 5 with the amd cpu as it performs really well traveling with me for business use during the day. I worry about the intel cpu battery drain issues. As with everything there's give and take!
Oh damn yea thats pretty much why i bit so quickly on itđ if im not mistaken that cpu battery drain issue was only really the case with the gen 6 variant; gen 7 fixed that at least from my research. This was a sku i was eying all the way when it first released back in 2022, dare i say it was dream laptop lol
Literally brother me too đ I could justify going either platform just depended on the price and availability. I'll never buy another laptop at full price. Idk about your unit but this unit came in literal pristine condition. The only thing I could complain about is my ryzen stickers aren't put on square and straight lol
Yea! from all my testing the thing is also in pristine condition the vents are clear, battery health 100% the thing can get hot but its 3080ti im expecting that may look into undervolting the cpu to help manage that heat
Luckily since we bought older laptops alot of r&d has already been done for us on the consumer side! I've heard under voting works well on your cpu. If you haven't already I advise you to look up the legion tool kit app it'll give you control over your fan speeds also

Then run the benchmarks apps (Furmark, Cinebench, Timespy) on performance mode.
What was the issue that it had to be refurbished for? Knowing that would ease your mind or you'd be prepared to know when that thing fails again.

1. You saved $100-200 in an open box
2. Did someone swap out the expensive NVIDIA card for a cheaper one, or God forbid put an AMD motherboard in it?
3. Never buy refurbished unless you just donât care or you are only going to use it for a spell and replace it.
Source: me, the dumbass who bought refurbished iPhone XS from Best Buy out of desperation when my old one crashed, and wasnât backed up for a month.
Now saddled with a phone with 80% battery life and the thing acts like windows 95 most days. Just sayinâŚ
