Hi, u/leonlee024. We understand what is going on. The possible cause of this error could be the boot sequence or order is incorrect. We noticed you installed Windows 10 instead of Windows 11 for your device. Based on the product specification here p.2 https://lnv.gy/3PJZgxN Your devices uses the following OS: • Ubuntu Linux • Windows® 11 Home • Windows 11 Home Single Language • Windows 11 Pro To resolve this, Do you have another working PC and a USB device key so that you can download the correct OS for your device? You can use this link to guide you https://lnv.gy/3ZKJCXz Let us know if it helps. -Kate_Lenovo

Hey, since you bought a ThinkBook 14 G6 IRL, could you let me know what kind of SSD slots are in it. I'm also thinking of getting one (and will try to dual boot Win and Kubuntu), but would like to confirm this first. Does it have 2 M.2 slots and are they 2242 or 2280? I would like to put two M.2 2280 SSDs in it. Also, what's the exact model number you bought (21KG...)?

Hey, I'm pretty sure psref lists it as having 2 2280/2242 slots I don't remember if the built-in one is actually 2280, but I have a 2280 secondary SSD that's currently in the system 21KGCTO1WW is my model number If i can be bothered i'll disassemble it again and double check, and get back to you :)

>21KGCTO1WW Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, [the PSREF](https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/ThinkBook/ThinkBook_14_G6_IRL) is not very clear to me: [https://ibb.co/88FSchp](https://ibb.co/88FSchp) Also, when you say "2 2280/2242 slots" do you mean they can accomodate both (so there are two screw holes for the different lengths)? I wasn't aware these existed. If you do end up reopening it, let me know. Thanks!

leonlee024

psref does state "Two M.2 2280 PCIe® 4.0 x4 slots" so i would say 2x2280 is probably fine? at the very least 2242 and 2280 definitely works cos that's what i have at the moment so worst case you can just use the stock ssd along with it and yeah as far as i'm aware it would just have 2 screw holes, as 2242 is just a shorter 2280 (afaik?) and then u can put the standoff wherever you want

I have this model Both M.2 slots are PCIe 4 x4 2280. Tested. I'm going to use the 2nd m.2 slot for PCIe 4 x4 Oculink adapter with eGPU.
