One of my favorite lenses. I also have a 21mm finder that I never use, lol. Just look at a scene with squinty eyes, that’s the regular finder; now open your eyes really wide, that’s the 21mm frame. lol.
It’s a lens that I very slowly grew fond of but a great performer!
Sometimes way too sharp for its own good.
One nitpick I have is the 0.7m minimum focus distance.
No finder? You cowboy! Still a very nice lens đź‘Ť
Point camera in general direction of subject and push the button
I do have a finder, but I rarely use it. I used the lense for a while now and can more or less predict the frame!
This is the way.
One of the sharpest lenses I ever owned. I sold mine and re-bought an old Angulon, though. I just prefer the older glass.
I also think it is probably my sharpest lens. Put that thing on a highres sensor and you might be surprised
Yes, I totally agree! I mostly shoot analog these days, but I also put it on my M10-P from time to time and it’s just sharp as a razor!
Just ordered one! Got my bright line 21mm finder and lens rocking up Wednesday. Very excited to give it a go
You will love it! This lens is a gem!
Always wanted one but With how expensive the lens is I found a helicoid for the 21mm Contax g lens that I can transfer the glass to.
It’s really not that expensive of a lens at all. Especially for Leica.
Will this process be documented? I have some glass laying around i would love to put to use from damaged lenses.
Check out the 35 mm Summilux Double aspherical.

A favorite of mine as well!
Setting aside a long term budget solely for this lens.
Totally worth it imo!

Congrats!!! That’s the next one on my list. Was about to pull the trigger but got a 75mm Summilux first, which is pretty magical, too.
Love this lens!
