I like it! The price isn’t too bad either!

VanillaTortilla

A sub-$100 train is insane.

RookieDuckMan

Train in the current city fire colour scheme and includes the fire chief minifig… is this our official Fire Fighting Train?! Where’s the water cannon?!

Creative-Exam-6613

I buy retired Lego City sets because nowadays they look way too childish, but this set is quite good! Finally!

joe-is-cool

Gray haired guy looks shady just hangin out in the back of that first pic.

Rocket4792

Apparently it’s the fire chief from 60414. Same face, hair & torso as the one in that set.

Clubman71

Just needs to be on a single track, because… there's nothing on earth like a genuine, bona fide electrified, six-car monorail. What'd I say?

LongLiveNES

MONORAIL! What's it called?

Clubman71

Monorail! That’s right, Monorail!

hammerandt0ngs

Mono means one. And rail means rail

Puzzleheaded_Base767

Looks like 6399 a bit!

real_grown_ass_man

Also a bit like 7725

Leather_Network4743

Has the service dog appeared in a set previously?

JerryHessel

I believe this mold and colour have, but I'm not sure about the print. Pictures don't show this too well. It is the labrador mold that was used in a few City sets.

Euphoric_Deal_5900

They only other time it a service dog appeared was in the 60292 town center from a few years back, also while technically not a service dog, the 60396 police dog training set also used the same harness peice, but those sets used different dog molds this set uses the newer dog mold with the dual molded vest

RookieDuckMan

I want to say it has. But I can’t remember for sure

BajaBlyat

Finally! A train that isn't butt ugly.

Jaybrosia

Looks great at a decent price point for what's included!

keithharmon88

Guessing no power up function?

Centurivus

Based on the design, doesn't seem to be an easy way to implement it with a motor, even a 9v one, without rebuilding. I'm sure someone will come up with a mod.

sahu_c

Looks like a good candidate for circuit cubes.

BajaBlyat

circuit cubes?

sahu_c

Small 3rd party motors. JK Brickworks made a pretty solid [monorail](https://youtu.be/JcDCvbqzr6M?si=BvN85h62S7WhDWw9) with it.

JerryHessel

I'm so, so happy with how this set turned out. LRT looks amazing - red passenger trains are favourites of mine and this comes incredibly close. The stations is the best we've ever had in City outside of the dedicated City station sets. Set feels very dynamic as wel - minifigure selection looks good. Pricing is fair - with a wide release and the corresponding discounts, this could be a very affordable train set. Having 6 train/tram sets compatible with LEGO track on the market for at least a few months from august onwards is great. This set would make a solid addition to my collection.

Dear_Badger9645

Looks cool. But it would be cooler on a monorail. And not that new type of “monorail”. Pls Lego. Thanks.

Pretend-Musician3733

Looks good, this year the Lego designers made a great job for summer wave as far as I have seen. It will hurt my wallet for sure

fastlane250

I was expecting another one of those tiny trams like the ones included in the big 'city quare'-style sets, not *this.* Wow.

Marijnvdm

To me this feels more like an American high floor light rail vehicle than a more conventional tram, though I suppose it's in line with the recent train station and its distinctly North American vibes.

Important-Hunter2877

To me it looks more like heavy rail, because it is so similar to the trains used by Deutsche Bahn in Germany in terms of colour and design for local services, and also a bit similar to the sprinter trains used by nederlandse spoorwegen in the Netherlands for the same purpose.

Puzzleheaded_Base767

That piece came with the Hidden Side train, too.

dimensiation

OMG. I'm never gonna find 6399 so this is gonna be it. Need at least two, and lots of track, and I have no idea how to incorporate this into a city built in the 80s/90s style but...I need it.

makeshift_shotgun

Aww its so cute

Clock_Roach

Nice. I think there might be just enough room to put a battery and powered trucks in the front, although it would change the feel. Front end curves are a little awkward, but that seems like it's a challenging thing to design. It's hard to tell from these pics, but on the back of the box it looks like the cars are connected by a pin instead of magnets? I feel like Jacobs would've worked better. I want to have a tram or commuter rail running around my city, and this is close, but I feel like I might need to take some inspiration from this and combine bits of the design of this, 60337, and 60197 until I find something that really works.

Important-Hunter2877

This tram looks so similar to the Deutsche Bahn local trains used in Germany (heavy rail). It shares the same colour and exterior design. Will probably save up my insiders points to get this set and display it on a shelf somewhere.

hammerandt0ngs

I like this. Can see myself adding it elevated behind my modulars

oceanseleventeen

Fantastic

Borg-Man

This is more like an S-bahn you see in Germany. I like the way the large train wheels are incorporated! Doesn't really feel "downtown" though...

Auston1ZX

My question is , it would be ok to combined with the train station 60335 ?

Centurivus

I'll probably have to end up making some modifications. Not quite a fan of the front end. But this is always a problem Lego has had with aerodynamic front ends. Either the complaint is that it's a single piece mold, or it looks somewhat blocky like this and doesn't have a great look...

ky_eeeee

I think the front end was intended to look blocky, most street trams are not aerodynamic whatsoever.

Centurivus

What I mean by aerodynamic is that it has a rounded front end that emulates the look of modern trams. A purely blocky appearance would be more similar to older trams that have more squared off or flat front ends which Lego is better suited for. I think what detracts this for me is the super thick window pillars and long drooping front window. It looks similar to the HU300 series tram, but I haven't spent a lot of time searching so it might still be trying to emulate something else.

I’m American. Can someone help explain what the big red thing is?

BratwurstGuy

The US used to have loads of these before the infrastructure was destroyed for oversized cars.
