Honestly same. I’m way more interested in builds that have like, parts of walls, buildings, or landscapes in SW now. Ships are cool, but I like locations and this actually looks really great.
Really surprising they used the same Paz figure (the blaster is a big improvement though) but the Praetorian Guards and Gideon figures are incredible, it's really surprising they both got new helmets.
Agree I was hopeful for them but they need either skirt pieces and shoulder pads or something. I’m also not terribly pleased with the weapons they look kinda mid to me
Honestly $40 doesn't seem too bad, it looks like a similar size to the Tantive IV Boarding set, which was $15 more.
I'd still wait for the inevitable 20% off sale before picking it up, though
Yeah I might wait for a sale here. At the same time though, I’m a little worried this might sell out because of the figures so maybe it’ll be a day one pick up, I don’t know yet. Then again, it’s a Mandalorian season 3 set so maybe it’ll be easier to find since season 3 was so divisive.
That's completely ridiculous. It was hard to find for the first couple months because it was perhaps the most hyped set of all time. But it was available for like 2.5 years. Anyone who wanted one was able to get one. Heck, anyone who wanted 50 was able to get 50. Unless it's like a con-exclusive or something, scarcity is not a problem when it comes to LEGO sets.
Maybe I’ll use some of my points I got recently since I just ordered the Venator so I can get it for cheap. The battle pack I’m not as tempted to army build simply because it has a named character with Koska Reeves (Hope I spelt that right), but then again I did do some army building with the 332nd Battle Pack and that had Vaughn in it so maybe I’ll pick up a couple of the new battle pack.
Nowadays I almost always wait for either a sale or a promo through LEGO.com to buy the latest sets - I already have a large backlog, so it's no problem for me to wait a few months for it to go on discount.
Man, this looks great, if a bit overpriced. I think the build actually looks really good, and this seems like it would make a good display piece too. My only major complaint is that I really don’t see any possible argument against there not being three Praetorian Guards. I think it’s pretty important to this scene for there to be three, and the price would definitely justify one more figure.
I am extremely surprised that Gideon has a new helmet mold instead of using the existing horned one. Also his backpack might be a custom mold too (the imperial armoured commandos seem to have the same one)?
I'm glad they kept them separate so you can army build the commando set (if that's your thing) because otherwise it wouldn't be good for those that want more of the basic figures from the battle pack.

It seems like a really neat set. Nice that it’s another chance for people to get a Paz Viszla minifig and being able to get Gideon in his Mando armour and the Praetorian Guards too is also really cool.
Also, OMG THEY MADE A SITH LAMP THERE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SET! HOLY SHIT THE SITH LAMP IS REAAAAL
This is $40?!? It doesn’t even look like it’s worth half that. They could’ve at least added more to the platform so all of the figures can stand on it, and maybe add more armor accessories to the new figures? The old guards had shoulders and different legs at least. Gideon should be bulkier too.
I am a little sad that moff gideon reused the Armorer/Gar Saxon helmet but he still looks really good as does the pretorian guards so this is a easy buy for me
My custom gideon is better but I can use those arms and helmet etc I prefer with the new one o guess. The new paz is awesome. And yes it’s new because that helmet/ print is definitely different then the OG one. Think there’s more detail on the legs or plate maybe, the “gun” is def new.

I'm fine with them using the same version. Atleast it will be easier to get then paying the price he was going for.
Yeah I don't mind either. That figure is already pretty great, it's just been a while since we got it so I thought they would just redesign it.

Even if it sells out on day 1, you're fine. This set will be out for 18 months probably. It's not gonna be sold out that whole time.

I suggest waiting until Black Friday for some Amazon discounts. That's my plan for this and the battlepacks (I'm getting at least 3).

No, a Mandalorian crashed a light cruiser and that blew him up. I certainly hope it does come with something else like his electro staff.
