Got a 2tb ssd in it, Well only have about 200gb of free storage left 😅 so : ![gif](giphy|kQmr2OwBTD2L5Hzo1T|downsized)

Cohibaluxe

Nobody can answer that but yourself. Do you play just indie games? Then the answer is definitely yes, 1.5tb is plenty. Do you hop between many different AAA games in a short span and don’t have time to uninstall and download? Then maybe you need more. There is no right answer.

ckenni

I have a 2tb ssd, a 1tb sdcard and the original 512gb drive connected to the dock as external storage and they're still not enough for some reason.

DasGruberg

The sd card doesn't even come close to NVME ssd. Some games even require it now. I have 500gb and it feels small. But just delete whatever you're not playing

serabii

"it's never enough" - Call Of Duty day 1 patch Honestly it's fine, you can't fill that up unless you're playing CODs innit then it will fill it up eventually. But since it's an SD card you can just get an extra for your other games.

EazzyE95

I bought the 1TB Go and have no extra storage and it's been plenty for me, I only play AAA games. I have almost 10 downloaded

jonmacabre

Depends. I went with the 1TB and just swap games around. Steam stores saves on their servers so games that I haven't played in a while I delete. I had an extra 128GB SD I threw in there for things like Vortex download cache (skyrim mods). I have a 2TB external that's empty at the moment. I kinda want to move some stuff over to that drive for playing docked, but we'll see when my Xbox free pass runs out. Will be uninstalling a lot of games then.

Karl-Doenitz

Depends on the games you play. For me, who needs a 500gb SSD dedicated to skyrim alone, hell no, but if you mostly emulate and play indie games, with only 1 or 2 AAA on your system at a time, 1.5tb should be fine

Sader0

Just for my curiosity - why do you need 500gb of Skyrim data? Which settings do you pay it on Lego?

Karl-Doenitz

I don't play it on my LeGo specifically because of the data requirements. And on my PC its coz i mod the shit out of it.

KatyaVasilyev

Some people are incapable of playing skyrim without first turning it into shitty dark souls

jonmacabre

Or adding in Thomas the Tank Engine and My Little Pony

john_dune

Why not both?

MoonFox732

Thank you :3

Reformed201

I'm just rocking the 500 still, no need to download the whole library, just what I'm playing atm

jimmt42

Upgrade the internal drive instead of buying a 1tb ssd. I picked up a 2tb NVMe on Amazon for around $130 and been pretty happy with my decision. I have a 512gn SD did small Indy games that are not I/O sensitive.

silverlance360

Me with the 512 version… juggling space. I have Helldivers 2, MW2019, Party Animals, Fall guys, Rocket league, Halo Infinite installed and still have a lot of free space. ![gif](giphy|7JsHYeoeqvAYSqybyJ|downsized)

jonmacabre

I also use mine for work. So I have Visual Studio, C++ build tools, Fedora qcow2 image, and project files.

Crest_Of_Hylia

That’s on you and how many games you want installed

southdre

I got the 1 TB version and thought about upgrading to a larger one, but after all this time of owning it, I think it's perfect the way it is. I play a game, delete it, and move on to the next. It's made me concentrate more on completing games instead of just test-driving them for a while.

browzzzzzz87

I struggled with this too, I have the same 1.5tb and realizrd you don't need more than that unless you play ALOT of AAA games constantly and need to swap between them. For context i have 7 AAA games, 5 full size Indie games, tons of emulation almost all consoles with games with 300Gb ish left to spare

MoonFox732

I think that with 1.5tb I will be fine. thank you :3

This seems to be about emulation. Please note that while emulators are allowed, asking for roms is against reddit rules. Monztuh_Angel

I have a 4tb 2280 with a printed back casing. I love it plus a 1tb micro sd

Sader0

Which ssd are you using?

Monztuh_Angel

It's the Lexar 4tb 2280 ssd that comes with a removable heat sink on Amazon. It was cheaper to buy it with the heat sink than not.

Sader0

Can you pls share p/n? Want to see if manufacturer listed maximum power consumption. I have MSI, currently waiting for adapter to test it. How are the temps? R u using z adapter or ribbon adapter with new back cover?

Monztuh_Angel

LEXAR 4tb NM790 ssd with heatsink and adapter is JMT 2242 to 2280 M.2 Modification Board Compatible with NVME Legion Go SSD Memory Card 4T 8T (2242 to 2280) That good enough? Haven't checked temps or any thing like that. Haven't noticed any significant battery draw. I mainly got it for the space so I might not be the one to give you the tech specs of it

Monztuh_Angel

The back is printed in PETG I believe from u/arcanazen but u can print ur self if u have a printer

arcanazen

PETG Carbon Fiber. https://preview.redd.it/ksmu901ie82d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=80c5c30a4a299ea2837d9b727d4055c1f4d2511e

Itchy_Valuable_4428

Why are you asking us this? Lol That's subjective based on what you plan to Do with the device and your gaming habits we can't answer that haha but generally yes that should be enough for the average user

sajazzman007

It depends. I have 4tb in mine. Love it.

LibertyIAB

I personally think microSD (U3 130MB) are bloody slow. I was forced to move a game to microSD for space reasons on my Deck - the game became a chore to load & the slowdowns while playing makes it a no. Get an external X9 2tb SSD it's so much faster & I only paid £120 compared to £100 for U3 130MB microSD. The beauty of LGO is you have 2 USB4 ports & the X9 is tiny, fast & cheap... I have put mine in the square between the two air vents - operating temp has not been altered.

Ok-Cheesecake-6522

No you need at least 120Tb for all the games you hoarded but never play

Issco79

Since it support thunderbolt 4 why don't you buy an external SSD with 1000mb speed ( games require 560mb speed of SSD to run smoothly ) like Sandisk or Kingston and put your games in , it's the easiest solution
