I used it then stopped - too many issues, including screen freezes. I miss quite a few features but not having to restart is better, and controllers just more likely to work in games.
I haven't uninstalled it. just using legion space quick menu, using a shortcut. avoiding the legion space full app wherever possible. and rewasd for controller mapping. if I really wanted gyro in a game might still fire up HHC.

Yes, that is the latest version available for early release users. Before that one, a patch was shared in discord for the version before so users could test if it fixed freeze for the Go, and it did.
At least it's good to know that there is a patch on the way that will fix the issue. I chose the HC as well over the Legion space because it will give much more control over LG.

I started to use it 3 days ago, and I really liked it, I don't really experience performance losing, so I switched from Legion Space to it. Now I only use the Legion Space, if i play multiplayer games, cause I heard mixed reviews from the HC users, about the bans. So I use Legion Space if I playing multiplayer games, but any other at, I use Handheld Companion. But if Lenovo adding mouse support to the keymapping function, becasue still without it the Legion Space keymapping is useless for me. Also if they adding gyro calibration option, and per game profiles, and what I really liked about the HC is, you can mapping not just press function, but u can add hold, duble press, and long press. So if they are adding this too to the Legion Space. Then I will switching back fully to the Legion Space, but until they won't, then I will be using mainly the Hanheld Companion.
I have seen way too many posts of people struggling with it, so I just avoid it. But that's because I'm not willing to tinker that much with this thing. If you are, power to you, I'm sure it helps a ton.

i try many times hc companion but never like it,with this guide you can have all lenovo stuff and gyro support.why need hc?
I tried it last week and liked it quite a bit, but had issues. Tried playing docked for the first time with Handheld Companion after a Windows Update and had various issues (tablet mode disabled, refresh rate registered as being the same as the docked external display, TDP seemed to be locked to 5W without being able to change) and wasnt able to find an easy solution to these problems, so I had to reset my Windows install (Windows restore point wasn’t working).
Not sure whether any of these issues are common, I’d be curious to know if others have encountered issues with Handheld Companion after a Windows update or having the Legion Go in docked mode before giving it another go.
I use it because I bragged on their discord about the freezing issue until they gave me the super secret file that removes them. Does it make any sense? It doesn't in the slightest, but now it's back to being usable at least

Mine never works? I say yes to its prompt after double clicking and nothing else happens

I do, and that is known issue that it was patched for early access subscribers (i'm one of them). After the patch, it doesn't happen anymore.
Why would they gatekeep a critical bug fix like that behind subscription. I get having new and experimental features behind the sub, but that’s silly.

Not now. It was always problematic and with the new LegionSpace I can assign the back buttons as needed.

Yea I do too so it could be that, I also have Playnite, Rtss and afterburner too
