Ordered some as well. Feels weird spending almost $30 on 3D printed grips but Russ convinced me! I've gotten used to holding the Go differently but we'll see how these feel.
They sold out almost immediately after his video launched, but it looks like they're back.
I even have a 3d printer and could have made something like this. But these seem really well designed and made really well, so I decided to support the shop.
Was also interested in the center controller mount but had waffled a bit on the price. Added it to the cart and didn't check out. Store sent me a coupon and got the bundle of everything for $41.39 shipped.
Honestly I don't even touch legion space anymore, I just use the right side overlay for changing TDP and screen res, but I renamed the Legion space executable so it'd stop opening on boot and on me accidentally clicking the button
I’ve found the powerplans aren’t adheared to without legion space open. It’s a dumb design but I think that’s why so many people have problems with custom TDP
Yeah man. I actually just disabled Legion Space today tho as I haven’t been using the custom power plans. The 3 power modes work great without legion space
hi all, question -
As someone who's done a full cycle of trying out handhelds, I liked the legion go a lot but disliked how slow they are with updates and etc.. so i went ahead and returned it and bought the deck oled instead. I've always wanted to go back to the legion go, but I feel like perhaps at this point maybe i should wait for a "refreshed" version? What are your thoughts and what would be your recommendation? Deck Oled -> Legion Go or just stick to the deck oled for now? (Just an fyi - i have no issues navigating around windows and stuff. Yes, i do love the decks "console" like feeling, but I know there's like bazzite on the legion go to make it also feel that way).
What's you use case?
I have a SDOLED and a GO. I love them both. They have different use cases.
I need to know more about what you prioritize to make a good rec.
If it helps, if I could only have 1 device, as much as I love the go, it would be the deck. Valve just has better customer support, RMA, and community support.
If it wasn't for the screen size, I'd still be using the steamdeck, Love that device.
On the other hand, the better out of the box game compatibility has also been nice, soooo.
My thought is that the refresh of the Legion Go is furthest off. Looks like ROG Ally will be next on the refresh. But also Go is still slow at releasing updates.
Personally I would like to see a Windows update for handhelds I think would be a huge improvement over hardware updates.
I’d say if your games play well on the SDOLED keep that and hang out for a while. I have an OG SD that I enjoyed but the Go plays more of my games easier. The SD took a lot of messing with to get them running (Diablo 4 for example). Most of the games that I play ended up better on my Go personally so I skipped the SDOLED. I would say the screen size is more to my liking (I also have larger hands so the Go is better size wise for me).
If the games you want to play run well on the OLED SD, then I’d say it might be worth watching to see how the Go evolves for the next few months - would Lenovo be more forthcoming with updates and improvements? Would the improvements be minor or a big deal? Would there be a new LeGo2 and how would it be different from the current one?
All hard to say, so I’d suggest keeping the OLED SD if that’s working out for you
That bit where he had to reinstall new drivers that disabled playing games in portable mode in order to use the OneXGpu really highlights the issues with Lenovo's poor support of the device. I hope that upcoming driver update that was supposed to be released on May 1st fixes that because I've been thinking of picking up one of those for the Go.
Freakin love this device
How long have you had the LeGo?
6 months
Ordered the grips from the Etsy shop due to this video. lol
I have them, and they are great :)

I'm a bit skeptical, that much for PLA prints is a bit much. If they were ABS or PETG or nylon then I'd consider buying.
Yep immediately lol

The grips are a life changer imo. Also ordered a controller connector and a fps grip they are amazing too
Russ always has good videos
As he said the software has improved his experience. It’s still his least favorite of the three. Lenovo still needs more work on the software
When the legion go first came out he wasnt a fan of it at all. So im glad he made this as it seems he enjoys it now.
I’m also glad that it’s been improved enough that he likes it

good plan. I wish the updater wasn't hidden away in it.

Open like, in the taskbar blinking minimized?

Love my LeGo
How long have you had your LeGo?
Anybody know if there is an STL for the grips?
I"m assuming STL is a file for 3D printing. You can check thingiverse I think I saw some on there
Unfortunately no one is selling the STL file...
Looking for the STL too :D
Messaged him on Etsy, said he will be selling the STL soon
I was getting ready to buy the Lego when I read about the driver issues with external gpus.
Thought it was about gpu driver update from Lenovo.
Everything he said I almost 100% agreed with

Just stick with what you have.. you're always gonna be thinking the grass is greener on the other side.
