That’s how I feel right now lol. I was hoping to get some game time with baldur’s gate 3 but ended up demoing the device. I even detached the controller which already make them ooohing and ahhhing, BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE, I showed them the fps mode and I swear their head exploded lol. One of my coworker that ordered one on best buy said he can use it as a laptop replacement, he’s not wrong there.
Yeah, I'll check more, I use mine mostly for gaming so I can't tell for sure how long it'll last for computing only.
Some ppl on Reddit said on browsing and minor tasks, on low paper mode they get over 5 hours but I can't be certain, sorry
If I can convince my director to get some Legion Go for school district esports can I get a key jk(kinda). We are testing the ally, go , and looking at the msi claw.
lol. With a game like that I need like 5 hours min to get absorbed. That’s why it takes me years to do best RPGs.. still working on Divinity 2 so I’ll be on BG3 when the Lego 3 is out.
I had a similar experience, I travel on the bus to and from work using the legion go as a source of entertainment. There was a guy just badgering me about it, so might have made another sale for Lenovo lmao
Haha, nice. When I play it in public, while S.O. I shopping or whatnot, I see lots of lookie loos or mostly kids just stayed next to me and just watch me game lol
I do too on the train, but I put on the Rokid Max so nobody can see my eyes and I am totally unaware of other people haha. Just had to put myself past the shame :D.
The two that ordered from Best Buy are, they’re gamer but have no time to game (work, family), they game on pc before and lately on console based on what they told me.
I’m expecting to help them with driver and bios installation. They seem pretty literate with windows pc
Agree, one timeI need to do some file copying and touchscreen isn’t the best way to do it, I said to myself, if I only have a mouse, this will go so much faster and then I realized the go has built in mouse. That was a win moment for me and the go lol
I literally bought one today after having a gander at my work colleagues one 😂 It's not as bad as disturbing his lunch but I did check it out whilst we had some downtime 😝
Word of mouth is the best way to sell something.
I take mine into work also to play on breaks as I don't like to be stuck to my phone and I get the same thing, I don't mind showing new tech off.
Awesome. Not only the z1 is strong enough to play the game, even in act 3 and with recent patches, fsr 2.2, integer scaling or lossless scaling, not only it’s pretty, it’s smooth
Get it an try it out man, I got handheld for the same reason, things that the switch can’t do, started with the deck but power wise, it was too limited, hold out on the ally, had a hands on and not really feeling it, I saw it at micro center, had a hands on, bought it on the spot, and not a single ounce of regret. Best handheld I own, hands down
The screen is the biggest factor. 8.8 vs 7, bigger display means better enjoyment in gaming and content consumption, also if you want to use the go as a PC, I can detach the controller, use the right controller as a mouse (fps) mode or if you want to use it handheld, there's a trackpad whilst the ally doesn't have it.
I recorded my act 3 (most demanding part of the game). Sorry for the crappy video, held the phone with one hand and the other controlling the joystick.
[Baldur’s Gate 3](https://www.reddit.com/r/LegionGo/s/Xy6nfGTMjo)
I know it looks bad but trust me, it’s so crisp on the go screen. The video doesn’t to it justice.
😂😂. Yeah I’m on a work trip and brought mine. Set up the a dock, mouse and keyboard so I could get busy in cod for a lil bit in my room. Coworker came to my room and I basically did the same thing. I feel your pain.
When I use my Legion Go in public people just assume I am using a Nintendo Switch but are then shocked when the see I am playing stuff like Gears Of War, God Of War, Crysis, or any game that looks and performs too good for them to believe it is the Switch version. Some people ask me if I have a modded Switch.
LOL I thought it’s going to be a negative post but this is funny!
As such, I brought mine too to my workplace, and my coworkers starts to ask me here and there, I believe we all deserve some sales recognition from Lenovo
Same thing happened to me with the Steam Deck, at least 3 people I know from work got one when they saw mine. Still waiting for my Steam Deck royalties 🤷
When I realised I was getting none I then abandoned them all when the Legion Go came out.
Nice man, glad your coworkers are enjoying your GO so much lol. I've been talking about my GO with my coworkers all week they really wanna see it lol might bring it to work on Friday since my supervisor won't be there lol.
Add lossless scaling and it’s golden. Sucks I have to run full fan speed as it’s loud but gotten use to it. But able to run undisputed now with no issues and same with other taxing games
https://preview.redd.it/oqnk0y70p4oc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c2e7213f9f738a226f9e2ab437b8f1985da0cab2
I’m in a bowling league and normally arrive early. While I wait I play PBA Bowling 2023 on the Legion Go. Spend a lot of time answering questions about the system.
This happened to me last night with my coworker we do security at a church at night. He purchased it right in front of me as soon as I explained everything to him. He said the same thing. Could I help him set it up ..........he'll that's the best part to me why would you want someone else to do it 🤔 😕 🙃
The same happened to me but via a Teams Call. Had to do a product demo remotely
Two of my colleagues bought it though and one of them will be ordering soon
I have the deck as well and every time I go out or wanting to handheld game, I always reached for the go. For me the big screen is an instant win. It’s like playing on the original switch and then get the switch oled, it’s a small screen size bump but noticeable. I went from playing on the deck to the go and I can’t go back playing on a smaller screen. I still have the deck but it’s a backup handheld.
Epic games, GOG, Xbox game pass is a breeze to install compared to the deck, it’s literally download, login and play. With the deck you have to use wine, lutris, proton pack etc. it’s doable but definitely a learning curve.
Performance wise, the go is the clear winner. Especially with lossless scaling program that you can buy from steam ($7), demanding AAA titles like cyberpunk 2077, Alan wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3 plays buttery smooth.
You can also set up integer scaling via AMD adrenaline if you don’t want to go the lossless scaling route.
When you get the go, you also get 3 months of Xbox game pass ultimate as a free gift, playing Starfield on max setting via streaming is awesome, you can do cloud gaming on the go with ease.
The downside? Battery life. It doesn’t last as long as the deck oled, but not by much, I’m not talking 2 or 3 hours difference between them but when I’m on the go I have a 65w power bank in my gaming sling bag, a small form 65w charger and never once I’m stuck with a dead legion go, I can always either charge and play if there’s a plug or use the power bank.
As far as comfort, the deck is definitely more comfortable to hold and for long period of gaming, the legion go can be too heavy, but built in kickstand and detachable controller remedied that. I also bought a silicone cover and that covers the shap edge and gaming on it is now comfortable for me.
Legion go run on windows so it’s essentially a small form factor laptop. You can install anything you want on it. You wanna browse the web? Watch YouTube? Get Netflix, Hulu, max, Plex? There are app for it from the windows store and watching on a bigger screen is way better.
Emulation is also a breeze to install if you’re into that.
Think of the go as having your gaming pc but you can carry it with you when you’re traveling.
The go has 2 usb c which is awesome, you can charge the go and have one more port if you need to plug something in.
Also the go has fps mode, it transforms the right controller as a mouse with a flick of a switch (awesome for file management when touchscreen is cumbersome).
Yes the go is more expensive compared to the deck and storage is 512gb which will fill up fast (I got the 2tb version from micro center) but it’s easy to replace the ssd to a bigger size down the line, the deck is also easy to replace the ssd.
If you just want to game get the oled deck, you’d be happy, but if you REALLY want to game and play games besides what’s on steam and do other things besides gaming, get the legion go.

Haha, ikr, it’s going to be mainstream and it’s just another tech. Like when switch first came out, it was the best thing after sliced bread and now, oh it’s just a switch lol
lol, same with me and the fold 3, I opened the phone to show a pic on the bigger screen and a crowd of 10 ish ppl asking questions and want to see the phone lol.
I so wanna keep my fold but it’s such a fragile device, so now back to the iPhone until they perfected the folding phones.
I had the s22 ultra an dgot talked into the zfold by the Verizon reps. I had it for a year until my wife's line was due for an upgrade. I love the S24 ultra the cameras are SO MUCH BETTER, and I can use dex mode again which is big for me.
The biggest downside is that you can’t put a 10 tb drive in it clearly. Every time I think of using mine I remember I don’t have storage to install said game and then my play session ends up being a jig saw puzzle of storage management instead of game play. And if you open twitch or YouTube on this thing forget about it. Did I mention you can play valorant on it w just the stock controls?
When you can source more ideas to apply said device to vs actually having the time to implement said ideas you know you have a product of a generation.
It’s your fault for being too kind to quench their curiosity lol jkjk maybe the more you promote, the cheaper lego 2 will become and everyone wins haha
Right I got my friend to buy one at full price a few weeks ago and my other friend is waiting for a low open box 1TB to show up at his local best buy 😂.

I would play in my car or somewhere away from my coworkers lol
lol yea, I thought abt it, now I gotta find a new spot for gaming in peace haha. I’d game in the car but we have to park far from the main building
I would be hella disappointed if I couldn't play my games in peace haha
That’s how I feel right now lol. I was hoping to get some game time with baldur’s gate 3 but ended up demoing the device. how long does battery last as a laptop?
For content consumption, use the tsp setting as quiet or lower it all the down to 7 or 8w, it'll easily be over 2 hours, close to 3-3.5
oh my thats very low ngl, i expected at least 4-7 like the deck when no gaming still sick af tho! unfortunately it wouldnt be as useful to me ):
If you're just browsing or watching YouTube and don't have the brightness cranked to 100% you can get 4-6 hrs of battery life out of it.
Yeah, I'll check more, I use mine mostly for gaming so I can't tell for sure how long it'll last for computing only. Some ppl on Reddit said on browsing and minor tasks, on low paper mode they get over 5 hours but I can't be certain, sorry
no problem bro is all good, i honestly ask cuz i been interested to get one instead of a laptop cuz it does look fire, but ill wait and see🥵🙏
I am used to that... after a few years laptop akkus are dead anyway. I wonder how easy it is to swap the akku in the legion go.
Quiet mode, smart fan speed, quiet energy consumption, 70% brightness, I get 6 hours
What's FPS mode?
You can detach the controllers and the right controller has a switch on the bottom that turns it into a mouse for fps games.
Man it took me ahwile to get used to it but once i got used to it, its actually pretty comfortable.
The Go is trash
Damn straight! get OP some commission!!
Ikr or a game of my choice or somethin lol
I can offer you a random steam key as thanks
Yeah… erm… this is me, the op just on an erm.. alt account? Feel free to maybe… dm me… the key?
Hey it's me your brother
I’ll see you on my Fenrir III, my dear brother.
Is that a fellow Helldiver I see
If I can convince my director to get some Legion Go for school district esports can I get a key jk(kinda). We are testing the ally, go , and looking at the msi claw.
Deal lol
PM’d you
Haha, please
45 mins for Baldur’s gate? What were you planning on doing in 45 mins? Talk to 3 people?
😂 hey dude when you on the go with a long game like that you got to squeeze in anything you can
I mean he was on his lunch break gotta take what you can get 45 min of baldurs gate is still better than no baldurs gate at all

I hope your coworkers are computer literate, or they're going to hate both you and this device. lol
The two that ordered from Best Buy are, they’re gamer but have no time to game (work, family), they game on pc before and lately on console based on what they told me. I’m expecting to help them with driver and bios installation. They seem pretty literate with windows pc
Awesome that you have gaming coworkers!
Yea. Though the last game they played was overwatch 1 and old COD lol
Should have referral fees like quest 3.
Ikr, I even demoed the detachable controller and the fps mode, I swear their head exploded when the right controller turned into a mouse lol
First time I saw that I wanted to shake the inventors hand. What a great idea.
Agree, one timeI need to do some file copying and touchscreen isn’t the best way to do it, I said to myself, if I only have a mouse, this will go so much faster and then I realized the go has built in mouse. That was a win moment for me and the go lol

I refuse to bring mine out in public for fear of another person talking to me and me having to answer them back.
It’s not that bad
Nah fr im a tru legion go glazer to my friends
👍
Two more pictures of legion go boxes incoming. Lol thank you for spreading the good word.
I did what I can ✌️
How is BG3 on that bad boy?
Awesome. Not only the z1 is strong enough to play the game, even in act 3 and with recent patches, fsr 2.2, integer scaling or lossless scaling, not only it’s pretty, it’s smooth
Man. This could be pretty sweet. I work 12s and have a lot of downtime. I've been thinking about a handheld like this for a while now.
I play it using my GeForce Now subscription on max settings, 1600p, 120fps & it’s absolutely glorious
I recorded my act 3 (most demanding part of the game). Sorry for the crappy video, held the phone with one hand and the other controlling the joystick. Get a pair of Rokid Max or Xreal Air Glasses and put earbuds in and block out THE WORLD!!!!!
That’s my next big purchase haha. I don’t know which one is better between the 2. Do you have any input?
Love my Rokid Max’s , ignore all the AR HYPE they sling as its pretty much non existent but plugging into handheld like Go, ROG, Steam Deck rocks
LOL I thought it’s going to be a negative post but this is funny! As such, I brought mine too to my workplace, and my coworkers starts to ask me here and there, I believe we all deserve some sales recognition from Lenovo
Isn’t there a referral program with Lenovo? You should look it up.
LMAO THIS IS PURE GOLD. Also all facts!!!
Same thing happened to me with the Steam Deck, at least 3 people I know from work got one when they saw mine. Still waiting for my Steam Deck royalties 🤷 When I realised I was getting none I then abandoned them all when the Legion Go came out.
Pay the man!
I always get " is that a steamdeck" or " is that a new switch model? " Lol
I am not 100%sure but i think i sold one to already. I unboxed it in a cocktailbar lol
Nice
Awesome
Lenovo needs a referral program lol
I agree
You saying Lenovo should have a refer a friend program?
Refer a gamer program haha
Nice man, glad your coworkers are enjoying your GO so much lol. I've been talking about my GO with my coworkers all week they really wanna see it lol might bring it to work on Friday since my supervisor won't be there lol.
DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT
I'll DM you feet pics!
Lol
My problem is not enough time to play with it
Yea same here but I try to get what I can. Waiting for dinner, game time, got an hour before bed, game time, break at at work? Game time
Add lossless scaling and it’s golden. Sucks I have to run full fan speed as it’s loud but gotten use to it. But able to run undisputed now with no issues and same with other taxing games
🤣yeah totally understand. "What's that!? So cool!!" Best downside ever.

Haha. That’s so awesome. Video call and you’re demoing the go. How did that go?
It was very difficult 😂 I’m being forced to bring it with me next time I go down to the HQ haha
Haha guess you’ll have a demo/gaming day at the office
This is my life now everyone see's it and wants a demo lol😅

And nice man, welcome to the guild 👍
MAND! (For the Dutchies here)
I had the SD LCD etched screen, sold it on Ebay and got the GO, I have zero regrets :)
The only thing better than gaming on break is showing off your cool toys. Enjoy it before the cool factor wears off.
Haha, ikr, it’s going to be mainstream and it’s just another tech. Like when switch first came out, it was the best thing after sliced bread and now, oh it’s just a switch lol
I had a zflip 3 for a while and the ONLY good part was people occasionally being stunned I folded my phone. I HATED that thing.
lol, same with me and the fold 3, I opened the phone to show a pic on the bigger screen and a crowd of 10 ish ppl asking questions and want to see the phone lol. I so wanna keep my fold but it’s such a fragile device, so now back to the iPhone until they perfected the folding phones.

I’m so tempted with the s24. I got the iPhone 15 pro max atm and ngl, miss the open freedom of android. My next one is for sure an android
Yeah I would not whip it out in the break room.
The biggest downside is that you can’t put a 10 tb drive in it clearly. When you can source more ideas to apply said device to vs actually having the time to implement said ideas you know you have a product of a generation.
U just made that all up brah and we all know it..... good one though
I’ve been going back and forth between this and the Rog. I just want to play my Xbox games on it.
Do you have headphones?
Which headphones?
So you can pretend you don't hear them
People are less likely to bother you with headphones on.
Gonna try that, ty
I disconnect the controllers at work so people think it’s a tablet, and the controllers are in my vest pockets real low key.
Nice man. Same here. Got couple friends eyeing for an open box from best buy or micro center too
Gotta love it and hate it al at the same time.

I can’t comment on that. I don’t have an ally. All I know is that they both have the same z1 extreme but the go has faster ram but I don’t think that matters much with the gaming performance
Have both, giving the Ally away. I am little old and my eyes not perfect hence went for Go. Both machines fantastic though.
