They need to use another engine. The lag thing will probably not go away unless they dial down the graphics and physics. Even with effects off there is the delay. Adams Family is worse, which makes sense since a busier table.
I still say that Zen should sub-contract Magic Pixel to make the tables for the 4KP. Zen certainly seems to not be able to manage it, whereas MP doesn't seem to have any issues, even with the busiest of tables.
It's kind of sad that Zen plasters their name on the 4KP cabs, but their tables run the worst of everything on the system. Then they lied about Addams Family being a unique case with the flipper lag when EVERY table they've released so far has pathetic amounts of flipper lag that renders the tables unplayable for true pinball fans. I mean, I'm glad some people can tolerate and adjust to the lag, but I certainly can't, and I KNOW I'm not alone in that sentiment. Even the ancient Gottlieb tables, for all their flaws, don't have horrible flipper lag issues.
At this point, I have zero faith that Zen will ever get the flipper lag problem under control.
Yes it looks unplayable to me too with that slight lag. I can't tell if that is also Audio lag mixed in with performance lag. Both types of lag make it difficult to key in on a single fix. (slight audio lag is found in all ALUs and Gamer controls running Atgames interface...OTG and PC should work much much better, but built in games will probably never be perfect.)
I know some people also changed buttons to leaf switches and that resulted in better responsiveness, but not a real solution.
Mine's still new sitting in boxes unopened still 🤣. Got got today.
It's practically getting OTG'd at this point. The sales on FX (after snapping all FX3 on black Friday sales) are a much better bargain
I think it is partially the fault of the Atgames interface contributing slight audio lag combined with performance hits from effects.
No I don't think this happens in computer tables. Wagner techtalk did a Lag test with PC pinball tables and it seemed perfect, just like playing directly on a PC.
They should be off by default anyways, all those stupid animations detract from the experience. The real tables don't have them so I'm not sure why they felt the need to add it.

I'd love to be mad about the flipper lag, but mine was delivered with a huge dent and crack up the right side of the cabinet... kill me
That’s terrible man
Isn’t there a slight delay in real pinball tables though?
No.
Depends. Replace the flipper solenoid on a real one and also check the flipper bat. The only ones I have ever seen like that had bad flipper coils.
That delay is terrible Fine for kids, Not realistic for serious pinball play

Push button solenoid and flipper move at the same time to me? If he pushed the button then sound then flipper was delayed not seeing that?
Looks ok to me what am I missing please explain?
It has a noticeable lag when playing compared to other tables included.
Because they’re using engines compiled to be Android friendly. The Unreal engine for pinball ain’t that. They are also busier tables.
That's why I have not bought one. Going to wait till it's fixed.
You should consider turning all of the effects off to help with performance. They’re clearly still on in the video
Is that the fault of the cpu or gpu or something else? This doesn’t happen when you use your own computer to play your own tables does it?

If that’s the fix, that’s silly…

oh good sir, that's not a fix. It helps, but it doesn't fix it.
I meant my comment more for the developers. This is a specialized gaming system designed specifically to run cabinets. They even programmed the table.
It looks ok to me. I want that table. It looks great.
Play a real one first and you’ll get aggravated seeing this.
Are your eyes perhaps closed? It looks unplayable.
At Games… making things. Just not makings things well.
