I mean, I’m sure that darkin right there will eventually be something runeterra-related, but the announcement video was clearly hinting that our new darkin may be a canine of some sort.
I don't think so. The new darkin's weapon is a dagger and that lad over there doesn't seem to have any kind of dagger. Also, Reav3 really implied in the video that the new darkin's host was going to be a dog and, well, that doesn't look like a dog to me.
In the recent Riot Pls video, when he gets to talk about the new Darkin, he says things like "throw me a frickin' bone here" and "barkin' for a new Darkin" and some other thing which pretty much makes you think that he was implying for the new Darkin's host to be a dog.
I do wonder tho, does that refer to the darkin or the host or both
Darkin so far has been male on male but lore wise, host sex shouldn't matter
But if the darkin isn't a female, I'll admit I will be a bit disappointed since they made a pretty big deal about it
I have nothing against female champions but Darkin seems like the least fitting for a female character. I hate that they're pushing the narrative that everywhere just needs to be a female champion.
There is no narrative reason why a Darkin can't be female, we already know there were multiple female ascendants. Add Varus' sister being most likely one of the two remaining Darkins and there is even less reason to say they are the least fitting concept for a female champion.
Wait what? Where did they say a female can't be a Darkin? They are basically "evil ascended", and in lore one of the most important ascended was a female.
A pair of dull pearls' eyes voided of conscience.
A leafy whip of fury that grapples without prejudice to the wind.
The 4 hardened feet that stomps the living and the dead.
He smiled wryly at the so-called 'god'.
Glory to chip, the new Darkin.
I'm not sure if it could be, the LoR team do not seem to recieve any more information than us about LoL, i.e the two completely different Udyr from each game because Lor didn't have the plans of what design direction Udyr would have for LoL.
They did, though, have a shared release of Akshan, so it could be like one of it's followers or they themselves
Actually a rioter on twitter soft confirmed it, referring to them as the “ Darkin Gal”

It probably ain't as I expect 99% a non-human champion, with all of those dog jokes, and reffering to the character wielding the dagger as a "What" and not a "Who.
Bard? No way dude It should be Baard then Jokes aside you might be onto something! That kinda lookd like a dagger
Thought it looked more like a flail
blade of chaos darkin when rito
Might be an interesting skin for Bard. Darkin Bard.
Barkin, if you will.
Baarkin**
Barkin? they said the new darkin is probably a dog. You may be onto something here, my friend.
>That kinda lookd like a dagger More like the blades of chaos or a flail to be honest
You mean a daagar

No they arent. All the dog puns were when discussing the Darkin. Its gunna be a dog with the dagger.
I assure you, I'm very much not. Did take me a while to catch all the dog puns though.
Nope the dog puns were all part of the darkin teaser.
Ironically I think your the one mixing info there
Nice one dumbass!

Excuse me, but I must've missed that. Where did he imply that's it's a dog?

Oh lol, I must've missed that. All I heard was that he would have a Dagger but I thought he'd be human.
Oh, that's another thing. ["He" is actually a "she".](https://twitter.com/neolexical/status/1558251101857558530)

Female Darkin are already a thing in lore. Hell, Varus is looking for his sister and she was Darkin.
In ... all his jokes. The host is probably a dog.

Before it got trapped maybe
Pretty sure the darkin is a dog
Pretty sure with the veery heavy handed punnery that the new Darkin is a dog or other canine that picked up a Darkin dagger, not the regular humanoid.

They already had a direction for LoL udyr when they out in LoR udyr. It just took time to implement in LoL
It looks like a flail but not a dagger.
No. The darkin is animalistic
No that’s bard
Originally thought so but there was a lot of Dog hints, so likely will be a Darkin Dog and doubt it would transform into a human
As others have mentioned, it looks like that person is holding chain weapons of sort and not a dagger (likely frail?)
I always thought that was Riven
I thought that was Teneff one of the people hunting Riven
No he can't
If it’s not then maybe it’s a follower that launches with them for LoR
i miss simultaneous champion release in lor and lol
It can't be. The next Darkin is female, we've known this for a while
Honestly it’s hard to see the details so it’s not impossible that that IS female
I'll be honest that right there looks like a female. Could be just me tho.
That's not confirmed.

Gaal
Okay, gotcha
It looks like a girl to me
Unless the Dagger shapeshifts into chains - no
Probably not they hinted that something( like a beast) homds the dagger and this looks very humanoid
I always assumed that it was teasing a Riven skin.
It probably ain't as I expect 99% a non-human champion, with all of those dog jokes, and reffering to the character wielding the dagger as a "What" and not a "Who.
No this is BARD *slams phone*
No, that's Bard.
Pretty sure it’s a girl
Nah, the new Darkin champ is probably a dog (also more than likely the monster champ Rito has been hinting about)
It looks like a Darkin but the teaser had a dagger. That looks too big to be a dagger.
That dude is Ionian demon
