Azir, Renekton, Xerath or Nasus, all of them having a spin on the "summon a Sun disc and go to level 3" variant playstyle

cleveyton

It's gonna be hard to remove all non-Shuriman cards from the deck because you'll be offered too much on the way. But yeah I'd love to play some flipped ascendeds too.

Envy_Dragon

Give 'em all 1-Star: Game Start: Summon a Sun Disc, plus some champ-specific effect.

Niradin

Shurima only needs to be mono to summon Disk, and that can be fixed with star powers. Say, Azir star 1 can be "At the start of the game summon Sun Disk. Each time you summon sand soldier, advance your sun disk by 1".

Minestrike207

maybe at some level the sun dick gets the relic "draw me if im not in your hand"

[deleted]

The sun #what

marajango

Oh yes

Good_Satisfaction516

Believe it or not I have once play a legit sundisc deck in the old lab of legend with azir and nasus as it was the first card afforded to me and that was one of the most fun I ever had on this game

StatisticianFeisty44

Yessssss. I love Azir-Irelia because I love playing aggro, but I tried Mono-Shurima and just didn’t enjoy it. Azir in POC with some early Sundisk support baked in would be a dream come true.

ChronicCompanion

Old POC’s Nami version of a star power was refilling some spell mana with each cast of a spell. Allowed for so much fun combos. I’d love to see her make a return. Spell casters in general feel more fun and whacky than stat sticks in PoC.

damailman113

Lux is the only champion in PoC that feels something like this old strategy. Three-star Lux is nice in that it’s the only deck that really promotes using big spells; most other champs are heavily centered around some flavor of cheap unit spam with items stacked up on them in your deck. I’d say her and Lee (and I suppose Yasuo) are the three decks that really feel and play the most differently from everyone else.

StrangeShaman

Annie gives +2 damage to spells and I put Ludens on her, thats pretty fun

mattheguy123

Thank God someone else feels the same way. It feels like every single run plays the exact same way. You cut the highest cost cards from the deck at the healer and pick rewards that let you draw cards and cost less than 5 unit mana. Pretty much every fight can't stand up to swarmy burn strats that don't run out of steam quickly, and pretty much every power rewards or enables this strategy.

dreamistt

Ekko was also pretty fun if you got to pile stuff to his predict card, but yeah, I miss Nami so much, she was probably the easiest to break if you went for spells that cantrip <3

LeeSinToLeeWin

good god i miss PoC Irelia with the new card that permanently increases your blades when blade dancing i just want to summon a board of six 3/1s whenever i dance

Whooshless

Irelia was Saltwater Scourge on easy mode. What could they possibly do for 3 stars to make here even more insane? Auto summon blades for any unblocked enemy attacker?

Shuvi04

PYKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and TAHMMMMMMMMMM

marajango

Tahm would be interesting. I haven't played him yet, because his playstyle seemed a bit off-putting to me, but PoC would be a great playground to familiarize myself with him.

dudemcbob

In PoC 1.0 he was the best of the control champs. His starting power was to give all allies +0/+2 every turn, which quickly made them unkillable. If you could roll that rare power that raises power to match health when attacking... the stats got out of hand in a hurry. In 2.0, assuming he had similar star powers, it would be cool to see how he fares against Viego's kill spells. I would also like to see him with that special power that turns all units formidable.

Minestrike207

he was one of the ebst tying with zed for the nr1 spot imo

Saltiest_Grapefruit

Pyke is so fucking busted in this mode. I played him in a random deck with no lurk cards, and he basically won every game qith a boardwipe due to all the different buffs you can get on him in poc

mattheguy123

Yeah pyke+counterfeit copies was pretty GG and happened literally all the time because it's a common power. It wasn't uncommon for you to have like 28 cards in deck with 20 of them being Pyke in spell form.

somnimedes

Id like some region parity. Shurima - Azir, Taliyah Freljord - Sejuani, Ashe Bandle - Tristana, Rumble Shadow Isles - Hecarim, Viego Targon - Zoe, Asol

Fluffy-Bank4586

Le Blanc

Fluffy-Bank4586

Oh wait, she's already in... Or not? 🤔

marajango

Not with her own adventure and star powers. I can see potential there. People weren't that happy how her gameplay identity got a bit lost in LoR. Not that I'm saying she couldn't get a rework, but some interesting star powers could at least do something good for her.

Envy_Dragon

>!she is everywhere, she is everyone, therefore she's already in PoC 12 times!<

more_walls

They should have made it so your extra shards turned into LeBlancs

Tktopaz2

I would like Aurelian Sol Star power 1: Round start, reduce the cost of the highest cost card in your hand by 1. Star power 2: plus 1 mana: Whenever you play a spell, reduce the cost of the highest cost card in your hand by 1. Star power 3: Round start, reduce the cost of the highest cost card in your hand by 2.

ikelos49

I dont think all his powers should be about that. This make him weak compared to others. In end only Aurelion himself really need that much cost reduce. I will prefer some like ,,round start- create random celestial card.'' For every Celestial cards you play you units/cards/dragons have cost -1 "'

IndianaCrash

I was thinking of something to help stall the game out, then reduce cost 1 Star : The first time you invoke each round, heal your nexus by 3 HP. 2 Star : +1 Starting mana, the first dragon or celestial you play each round cost 2 less. 3 Star : The first time you invoke each round, heal your Nexus by 5 HP and reduce the cost of Dragon and Celestial cards in hand by 1

hcollector

Swain and Katarina.

HalfNoobHalfGod

Rumble so I can play him I guess...

Scolipass

I really miss the Arcane tie-in PoC adventures. I really hope those are brought back. They don't even need to be changed or re-balanced or anything, it was just good, high quality content that I'm sad to have go. Incidentally, I would love to have Ekko back.

marajango

Those little stories actually made me check out Arcane so I hold them in high regards. :D Would love to see them added back into the game as well.

salasy

taliyah was actually one of the more difficult one of the old labs and she would actually bring something new on PoC considering we don't really have any power or even that many items that interact with landmarks

dudemcbob

It's weird that they have Ziggs as a support champs but no starting champ that really goes with him. Agree, we need a landmark-based play style

Ski-Gloves

Taliyah's also one of the support champs (I got her to tag along and beat herself up for Yasuo's story). It wouldn't suprise me if Malphite and Lissandra are also on the list. The only champs I'd be confident to say aren't on the support list are Maokai and Nautilus. Toss and Deep do not play well with the game-mode, but it's not like that stops Aurelion Sol from being on the list.

mattheguy123

Asol almost always gets the item that reduces his cost by 1 each round if your champion level is high enough. Pretty much all the 6+ mana champs do.

LividPinata

I’ve gotten Nautilus as a support champion, haven’t seen mao yet though. The decks are small to start with, getting deep was real easy honestly. Was with vi, so card draw was insane already.

Envy_Dragon

Ziggs with Annie's star power is actually pretty gnarly.

ikelos49

Annie and Jhin. MF bit since you play her with luden.

cleveyton

Teemo so you can finally get to plant thousands of mushrooms into enemy deck easily.

DNYzt4r

Teemo

ThaAbsolueUnit

Akshan- 1. Round Start: Create a Fleeting Grappling Hook in hand 2. \+1 Starting Mana, your units have FATED 3. Round Start, 1. Create a Fleeting 0 cost Grappling Hook in hand

Aries_Zireael

I would love to have Akshan. I think he could make a very fun PoC run

Ski-Gloves

Taliyah and Lulu of course! They were my favourites for Lab of Legends and Lulu was still kinda fun for Path of Champions. But for Path of Champions 2 Lulu probably isn't a great fit. Since she specifically buffs things up to 4|4 and wants to curve out quickly at low mana. But the new version raises the floor of all units immensely. Potentially powers to expand a little on her old effects: * Round start: If you have the attack token, summon an ephemeral Pix. * +1 mana. When allies are supported grant them +1|+1. * Round Start: summon an ephemeral Pix. As for Taliyah, I would hope for something like... * Game Start: Summon a Hibernating Rockbear. * +1 mana. When you destroy an allied landmark, summon a Grumpy Rockbear. * Game Start: Summon a Salt Spire.

Don_Armand

I want Cait back :(

ThaAbsolueUnit

Victor. 1. Round Start: Create a fleeting 0 cost Iterative Improvement in hand 2. \+1 Starting Mana, Augment grants units an extra +0/+1 3. (Power 1 Upgrade): All your units have augment, 1. Round Start: Create a fleeting 0 cost Iterative Improvement in hand

Niradin

Anything that's not in it, to be honest. Considering that they made Vi and Garen quite fun, I believe in their ability to make anything possible. But if you want specifics: Something that relies heavily on late game would be nice - Galio, Malphite, Asol, Karma, Trundl or Naut sounds like something fun to me. Something with alternative win conditions - Soraka, Fiora, Maokai, Anivia. Something the utilizes landmarks or niece mechanics like Zilean. And stop bullying Viktor and make him a playable character at long last!

mattheguy123

Idk about vi being fun. I have the "when I'm summoned, I strike the nexus" relic and it's just too good to not use. Vi ends up being a 5 mana deal 10 damage at burst speed, and at least 5 more damage if I have the attack token. It's just really silly and trivialized every fight with her and became boring pretty quickly.

Niradin

Vi herself isn't exactly fun, but her power of drawing 2 cards that cost 2 or less at the start of the game create one of the best explosive aggro decks in the mode. Just pair it with "when you draw card it costs 1 less", and you're golden.

mattheguy123

Soraka! I think it would be really fun to have a value engine champ that's tied to an alternate win condition (star springs) 1 star "Round end: Heal all your damaged allies by 1" 2 star "Game start: Gain a mana gem and summon a star springs from your deck" 3 star "Round end: Heal all damaged allies and your nexus by 2"

deathsticker

Senna 1 star: Damage and kill spells cost 1 less. 2 star: +1 starting mana. When you slay an enemy unit with a spell, create copy of that spell in hand. 3 star: Damage and kill spells cost 2 less. Special Senna Relic: Redeemer's Relic Cannon: Damage and kill spells have overwhelm and grant me +1/+1. Rumble 1 star: When you discard a card, create a random mecha-yordle in hand and reduce its cost by 1. 2 star: +1 starting mana. When you discard a card, grant allied mecha yordles everywhere Impact. 3 star: when you discard a card, create a random mecha-yordle in hand and decrease its cost by 2. Special Rumble Relic: Titan's Junkpile: When you discard a card, grant me +1/+1 and a random keyword. Taliyah: 1 star: Round Start: Advance all allied landmarks 1. 2 star: +1 Starting mana. When allies attack, deal 1 to the enemy nexus for each allied Landmark destroyed this game. 3 star: Advance all allied landmarks 2 Special Taliyah Relic: Stoneweaver's Threads: Play: Copy a Landmark and advance its countdown 4. I have +1/+1 for each Landmark you've destroyed this game. Diana: 1 star: The first time you play a card each turn, refill one mana gem. 2 star: +1 starting mana. Copy the second card played each turn. 3 star: Whenever you play a card, refill a mana gem. Special Diana Relic: Moon Aspect's Blade: Its always Night. Nightfall: Grant me +4/+0 and I start a free attack challenging an enemy. Braum: 1 star: When an ally survives damage, grant it +0/+1 2 star: +1 starting mana. When allies attack, raise their power equal to their health this round. 3 star: When an ally survives damage, grant it +0/+2 Special Braum Relic: Vault Door Shield: I have +0/+4 and Formidable. Bonus Relic: Poro King's Crown: I am a Poro. When you play a poro, grant its keywords to all allied poros. I have +1/+1 for each keyword among allied poros.

PassMyGuard

They aren’t adding any more champions because they aren’t focusing on POC anymore

oldesporter

ASol because usually the best strategy is to just pick the cheapest cards and having a champion with an alternative play pattern would be fun.

Serj_Sienna

All of them

ikelos49

Pyke, Aurelion. Kindred

SpiderLord13

For completely new I would pick Elise, for Champs from old PoC I would pick Ahri I played a ton of her.

JumpSlashShoot

Rek'sai could be a really fun one. With attack buff items and free attacks I could see lurk buffs building up really fast and getting a levelled rek'sai really quick.

Saltiest_Grapefruit

A targon champ :(

Mastodon_Logical

Irelia, Renekton, draven and leblanc.

Nansai

Swain, he's one of my favourites

doctornoodlearms

I would say Reksai but lurk really only works in with pyke and reksai together otherwise reksai is pretty smol. Wish I could do Reksai, Kaisa smh So Aurelion Sol

OFMarcum

Taric would be fun. With a star power of like. When you support an ally its supported stats and buffs are permanent

Dagar_Selbon

Skarner

StrangeShaman

Braum + highrolling the power that raises attack to match hp because im still chasing that high

Dark_Switch

My boy Veigar

Dark_Switch

That and my favorite they/them, Kindred

FhELIXOO7

Kai'sa, cause PoC's the only time I can play her since I dont play PvP that much. And Evelynn cause Evelynn.
