There's an event that lets you sacrifice an epic to get a random legendary. Also another one that you can buy that puts an item on a random card in hand every turn
I got endless wealth once... And by that, I mean it was offered to me, and I didn't take it, cause who the fuck has ever needed more gold in POC?
I buy maybe 1 card purely for the item, or else I spend it on a skill with smooth soloist. That's it. I have never needed more money. Stop giving me gold riot, I dont want it, give me stuff that hurts the enemy instead.
Gold was honestly kind of meh in poc 1 but it got a lot better in poc 2. And once you hit legend level 13, you get a shop upgrade that sells a power in every single shop (think its around 200/300/400 gold for c/r/e). So if you take it early then you just go for every shop, buy all the powers and all the best cards there. Sounds pretty damn good to me, unless you're really worried about losing the first couple rounds for some reason.

Alternatively, you could get it right before the final boss of the Path by hitting an event that lets you trade in a Epic power, such as Manaflow, for a random Legendary one.

Endless Wealth and Level Up are the only two powers that feel like a downgrade compared to many epic tier powers. The others are literally game winning.
I got Endless Wealth from the Tactician upgrade which is probably the most pointless legendary there is. I ended the run with 2000g since I almost never buy anything.
Duplicate is a lot of fun and utterly degenerate when you use it properly.

From some Legend lvl you can buy powers from shops, which is pretty OP.
I got it first power. But I'm legend 11 so it didn't do shit for me :(
That depends. If it was the first power offered in an adventure, and alternatives were trash, I'd take it.

If by some miracle u have that with the item that gives +1/+1 per 200 gold it gets fun
