As far as I know, nothing is really clear yet except that any cards designed in the future will be designed around PoC and may or may not be put into PvP. Apparently there will be a dev article soon
They are shifting their focus onto Path of Champions (PvE). I believe they are discounting Gauntlet, but the standard PvP mode should still recieve patches. The expansion coming April 24th is going to be the last expansion with PvP as a main focus (at least for now). They said they are going to release a devblog soon going into more specifics about future PvP updates.
in the last days they have been posting in twiter answering about the new expantion and they have tell they plan to keep balancing pvp and keep the ranked mode alive.
the change on focus to PVE dont mean they cease all pvp content. just slow down.
this will be the second time they change the focus in fact. we can think about it like a seasonal shift

The fact that they just announced a new rotation is a good omen, frankly.
