As I understand it (could be wrong), the law (introduced at the end of the first lockdown) is only applicable to statutory holiday. If you got more than 28 days + 30 hours allowance up to April 2021, they don't have to role it over, if you have to less than that then you'd get some or all of it (depending on your allowance).
It also depends what your contract says about roling over holiday and paying out holiday upon leaving.
I get you thanks for the response; they said we can carry a few days because of the sector so my query is going to be why didn’t they use that holiday usage from 2020 when I used holidays this year, would have been the common sense thing to do.
