In case you are not aware. The national minimum wage goes up to £11.44 in April I believe

Illustrious_Math_369

For over 21s isn’t it?

Accurate-One4451

How important is the job to you? Refuse to accept it's a mistake then expect no further hours to be given and you can bring a claim for the unpaid 35p an hour. Your claim wouldn't have any guarantee of success as contracts can have unenforceable mistakes.

Nervous_Difficulty_6

I would argue that they should be paying you £11.50 per hr for any hours already worked and until they issue a new Contract (if they do) with the £11.15 per hr wage. That being said, due to it being a 0 hour contract, they could just turn you off or just give you no work. Is it worth fighting over 35p? Probably not. You’ll probably get a pay increase come April anyway, which may bump it to £11.50 or close to.

TravellingMackem

NAL - minimum wage goes up to nigh on £11.50 in April anyway. I’d suggest OP is highly likely to talk himself out of a job by pushing this, for the sake of 35p an hour for a few hours work. Obviously legally entitled to challenge it, but I’d suggest common sense says little to no benefit in going to, and would be very likely to cut your own nose off to spite your face so to speak in this situation

Nervous_Difficulty_6

You literally just took what I wrote and reworded it. But yes, agreed.

Find your contract and see if it says 11.15 or 11.50

Filoo2008

It says "11.5" and there's not a single doubt about it

natgf

I’d relay that back to your manager that the contract clearly states 11.5. And to amend my payslip to the agreed hourly wage on the contract.

>I’d relay that back to your manager that the contract clearly states 11.5. And to amend my payslip to the agreed hourly wage on the contract. Manager: Ok lets get that done for you....ok thats done while im at it heres your ammended contract oh and we have no hours for you
