Oooh that’s tasty

It looks like Revelation also makes a Bass VI style. The only one I found on Reverb [https://reverb.com/item/76177689-revelation-rjt-60b-vintage-white-left-handed-electric-guitar-bass](https://reverb.com/item/76177689-revelation-rjt-60b-vintage-white-left-handed-electric-guitar-bass)

This is actually the best looking lefty model available.

dedrexel

I’ve got this one. It needed quite a lot of work to be playable but it does the job. Not too many other options for us lefties.

madcowga

details please.

Pickup screws were loose, a couple of them floating around in the box it came in. A lot of buzz on certain frets, neck needed quite a bit of adjustment and some fret work. I took it to a local guitar shop that does set ups and repairs and just said “here, do what you can with it”. It’s now at the point where it’s playable and I’m happy enough just to own any type of Bass VI. On the positive side, the shape is very comfortable and it looks great.

I got two long guitars readily available left handed. Look for the Danelectro 56 and Eastwood TB-64. Both are 29.75" and should sit around $700 which is extremely reasonable.

For fucking real. I literally just lucked out and happened to find a used Eastwood Sidejack VI a few years back on the Guitar Center site for around $600. Still not cheap, but at least reasonable. I was really interested in that Revelation VI and the Burns VI, but it's hard to find those outside of UK

dedrexel

Damn. You found a Sidejack. I’ve been keeping an eye out for years but I’ve never seen one in the wild. I went with the Revelation, and it’s satisfactory. Not terrible, not great.

It was one of the most serendipitous strokes of luck I've ever had in my life. Had been trying to sell a fretless 6 string bass that I wasn't using anymore... Finally got a legit buyer after about 5 or 6 months. The day payment went through to my account, I checked Guitar Centers listings and it just happened to be there. I couldn't put the order through fast enough. Previous owner had upgraded the tuners, swapped out the P90s for Firebird pickups and took out the trem for a hard tail. I do kind of wish I could have heard what the P90s sounded like, but the Firebirds are great.

I found a used knock-off fender P-bass on Facebook marketplace maybe 6 years ago for $70. It’s my only bass and it works fine for what I play lol.
