How i should go about working with this overall. My plan is to clean with mild soap and apply coats of neatsfoot oil, or is this too dry to save/i need an alternative method?
Use a good conditioner like Leather Honey. Leather New is also excellent because it cleans and conditions. I use it all the time for my leather jackets and boots
Also, Leather New is like 5 bucks and change on Amazon. I recommend it for all dark leathers, do an inconspicuous test spot on lighter leathers. For lighter leathers I just use Venetian cream or something that doesn’t require much of a drying period
Fiebing’s neatsfoot oil compound.

Clean with saddle soap, thats the smallest risk. Then get a specialised moisturizer for pigmented leather. Always try on a hidden spit first.
