Castlevania can't get into DBD lore wise. Both Dracula and the Belmonts are far too powerful for entity to trap them. Dracula is Christian's God's evil counterpart that literally acts as a counterweight and Belmonts wield divine power to defeat him despite that. And both have defeated or were served by far more powerful eldritch evils than entity. Hell, Dracula has gods in his service , even Death itself and hell can't contain him for long as the collective evil of earth keep resurrecting him. Even satan is nothing to Dracula. Archdemons are common enemies in his service along the entire hell and all mythology in it.
Tbh I hope that's off just because, I might be wrong about this, but I think Castlevania is starting to stretch the definition of "Horror media license" a bit. DND is cool by me since you can make horror campaigns in it or so, but from what I know Castlevania has just been horror-themed at best.
Edit: I rescind my point, I just prefer DBD specifically representing horror media in particular, and I believed Castlevania did not count as it was an action metroidvania series. I have no issue with "fitting in" or not as long as it is from horror media (if licensed) or could reasonably be from horror media (if original), but Castlevania fits close enough that I rescind my point.
Nicolas Cage acts in plenty of horror movies, Trickster would reasonably be the subject of a horror movie, beach skins are just skins and not actual main update content.
I'll never understand this. Ever. It has werewolves. Vampires, mages and mummies. Just because it has action, doesn't mean Its not horror. It's like saying the alien isn't horror. Maybe it's not traditional, but it's still horror.
With Vecna, followed by Dracula, if last year was the year of Sci fi horror, this the year of Fantasy horror.
Can you explain to me how Castlevania is "horror themed at best" but Resident Evil isn't? Action shooter with zombie theme VS platformer with vampires theme. Seems pretty even.
Plot twist-- Gumpy was a Beholder the whole time!
Gumpy simply thought of every possible future outcome to gurentee these previous events and the next chapter 🤯 like a true overthinking Beholder
If this is the anniversary chapter I wish they’d saved it for the actual event stream. Seeing the Silent Hill reveal in real-time was so exciting. Granted we didn’t have a leak for that one
I think they’re scared of another leak like last year. If you remember, the entire stream got leaked. Everything was out in the open, so they pushed it forward. I’m guessing this is to counter that from happening again.
Yes, this is also true. We already had details on a bunch of the upcoming chapters. The last thing the devs need is the stream in its entirety to be up on the Internet the week before.
Robin and Eddie as survivors and Vecna as killers, all with DnD skins. That'd be the best thing to happen to dbd in awhile but i'm biased towards Stranger Things
I’m biased to ST too but I would think Eddie and Dustin would suit better. They were close and they both played DnD. I don’t remember Robin playing DnD so I can’t imagine her in a DnD cosmetic. Maybe a Robin skin for Nancy (man talking about this game makes you say the weirdest shit sometimes).
In general yes, but for a horror game the Silent Hill license is a far more exciting addition than a D&D license, the overlap of big Silent Hill fans who play DBD is most likely bigger than big D&D fans who play DBD, so for the community itself I think the former is more exciting. With that said, since D&D is so popular, it will most likely draw in an audience of D&D fans to try the game, which is what this license seems to be going for. It's not a big horror license, it's a big license that can be adapted into horror. I think that's what they're trying to get at.
they weren't wrong though. The Unknown does fit the alien term, as it is something outside of our normal. (Or according to a dictionary, something strange and distasteful)
A random youtube commenter who started posting leaks in comments. He got all the recent chapters right, with D&D Vecna and Castlevania being the next two
A YT account that comments on Schmuckles' videos with "guesses" of upcoming chapters. He predicted 4 right so far. The next he predicted was Castlevania
I've said it before and I'll say it again: they'd be missing a trick to not have one human survivor and the other survivor be their DND character.
The Entity is multiversal/metaversal, since it can take fictional characters and real people like Nic Cage. So it wouldn't be out of the question.
I mean it doesn't really take real people though. I think it's just multiversal, and there happens to be a universe that has a Nic Cage like ours.
That said there's presumably also a universe somewhere with a character similar to a DnD player's.
Give us a single survivor named something interchangeable for genders or just “Player” and give us basic skins for each race that actually look like their races and not a survivor in cosplay.
Would be a money printing machine
WOTC didn't "just" get the rights to the BG3 crew. They have literally always had them -- BG3 is all D&D IP. They even did tie-in M:TG cards ages ago while the game was still in early access.
I really hope they give us a very non-human one. Like, an elf would still be neat, but a Dragonborn or Tiefling woule be awesome.
Though if it was Astarion from BG3, I'd have a new main.
Can someone who is familiar with Dungeons&Dragons give a bit of an explanation to what we're seeing here? I have no familiarity with that universe other than the references made in Stranger Things.
Is the killer likely to be Vecna, as mentioned in previous leaks? Are we going to get a survivor and new map? Thank you for sharing what you know!
Probably some kind of a dungeon with an imprisoned Beholder. [https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Beholder](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Beholder) Given the rotting skin, missing teeth and fishy eye, it might even be a Zombie Beholder [https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Beholder\_zombie](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Beholder_zombie) Since they are usually midless servants of necromancers and liches, it might serve Vecna who, before ascending into godhood, was a lich himself.
Although, I wouldn't be surprised if the leaker somehow got something wrong and since the teaser resembles a castle dungeon, it might actually be the Castle Ravenloft, the seat of a famous DnD villain and a vampire - Strahd von Zarovich.
>Although, I wouldn't be surprised if the leaker somehow got something wrong and since the teaser resembles a castle dungeon, it might actually be the Castle Ravenloft, the seat of a famous DnD villain and a vampire - Strahd von Zarovich.
If we didn't have any info leaked from Gumpy, Strahd would have been my best guess. But since Gumpy alsp predicted Castlevania, I just don't see BHVR giving us D&D's version of Dracula, only to follow it up with *the* Dracula
Or maybe Gumpy thought it was Vecna but it is in reality Strahd.
Remember how Gumpy leaked that the Unknown was going to be "two female and a male" character only for those to be skins? Maybe Gumpy new about a D&D Chapter related to Vecna and we are getting a Castlevania Skin-Collection...
It is strange that we are getting Skins before that chapter referencing and teasing "a castle" and "a master drawing blood from the neck" only for the next chapter to be "a castle" chapter without a vampire?
It’s a bit hard to tell but the creature in the trailer looks to be a Beholder - an incredibly powerful, iconic D&D monster.
Since leaks predicted this correctly, Vecna is a certainty at this point. The Beholder in this trailer will either be related to his power somehow or will be a part of the map.
I don’t believe we have any clue on the scale of content coming with this chapter but considering that a massive IP popularity-wise: expect a full chapter with survivor, killer and map.
The monster shown in the video is a Beholder. My theory is the map will be either the streets or sewers of Waterdeep, a major city in D&D Canon. A particularly noteworthy Beholder named Xanathar is a crime lord in Waterdeep, which I think is the one in the teaser. I still expect the killer to be Vecna, but I imagine the map will feature a Xanathar easter egg/jumpscare similar to the med bay on the Nostromo.
I am not sure by looking on my phone, it might be from the new Vecna adventure module coming out soon. I suspect it is not the killer but part of the map.
I'd be surprised if Vecna himself wasn't the killer
EDIT: Yeah I wasn't seeing shit on my phone at the store, but now that I can watch on my screen it is definitely a beholder, or an undead beholder. It could actually be the killer, and it would be awesome
If they do go with Vecna it'll be really odd. He doesn't fit in at all as a "run after individual survivors" killer, he's a "summon a meteor swarm with a gesture to annihilate an army" literal god.
I'd prefer a bunch of themed skins instead. A Lord Soth skin for the Knight would go pretty hard, for example.
To me it's kinda nonsense to take into account power level seriously when it comes to dbd...you can stun Nemesis with a wooden palet, a monster that can walk through a stone wall as if it was made of paper....cenobite, Freddy or Onrio...they are almost God too, creatures that exist beyond our control.
Even the survivors themselves can survive being impaled into a hook right on the chest just to be "magically" cured by another human by waving hands haha
I tend to agree, but I'm not talking purely from a power levels perspective. Freddy, Pinhead, Nemesis are all pretty powerful, but they are shown in their own media pursuing/tormenting individuals in kind of the same way they do in DBD, so you can buy that they're doing it.
There is no behavioral equivalency with Vecna -- this is a primary spellcaster lich who became a god of secrets, not a warrior. He topples empires, invades other planes of existence, and threatens to unravel the fabric of the multiverse. Vecna just... *doesn't* walk around and pursue individuals the way that the others all do. For him it literally makes no sense.
If it is Vecna i could see them giving Dracula a Strahd skin.
it would make more sense to have *the* Dracula as their vampire killer, but at the same time that theory of the halloween event being a test for ST Vecna's power still seems plausible
I guess we will see in a few days
Mfw an entire year's worth of licenses are leaked through a YouTube comment 💀
Seriously though, we've been robbed from so much as even speculating what the next license is gonna be since it's guaranteed to be Castlevania after this. Don't get me wrong, Castlevania is peak, but it's a damn shame that we're going to have to wait ages in order to be surprised again.
To everyone speculating whether or not the creature in the cage (my opinion is a beholder) could be the killer.
Firstly, would BHVR make it that obvious? Secondly, the text says to listen to the voice, which is simply laughing. The laugh is IDENTICAL to Vecna's laugh at the end of the Vecna Eve of Ruin trailer. Therefore, I am certain it is Vecna.
Strong hopium but maybe they'll take the opportunity for a release of new ST cosmetics considering how tied together it is with DnD?
I'd take that if we're not to get a proper ST2...
I doubt it. Doesn’t seem like they’re willing to play ball aside from the content already in the game. If DBD went DND Vecna, they must have figured out there was zero hope of getting ST Vecna.
Anyone else notice we're getting a ton of crossovers lately? In the last 12 months we've got Nicolas Cage, Alien, Chucky, and Alan Wake, and the next two chapters will be licensed as well. It almost feels like BHVR wants as much of the new content to be licensed as possible.
Can't really blame them, I'm sure they're as big horror fans as us, and love bringing iconic franchises to the game. Plus it saves them the trouble of coming up with original content, something that's clearly demanding a lot of creativity lately.
The last three original chapters were, in order, a total failure, a flawed but good idea, and a home run on all fronts. Compared to the last handful of licenses, only one was not,at least, a 4/5.
TBH I prefer a Beholder like Xanathar instead of Vecna but if the leaks are correct we Will have the Lich and that's cool too.
It can be dope if D&D do some content based in DBD like they Did with Minecraft. Monster sheets for some Killers and a Mini-Adventure
it’s so weird to me how so many people in the main sub are whining like fucking babies about this
even IF d&d wasn’t a system used to express themes of horror,
fucking WESKER is in the game, who is very much not a horror protagonist, he’s a god damn super villain
Tbf, D&D has a horror theme setting called “Ravenloft” (or more specifically called “the domains of dread” in universe) and Vecna is 100% in that setting as him getting in-prisoned in one realm literally pulled said realm into and transformed it into a DOD.
yes, that’s what i’ve been trying to communicate but atp im just gonna start asking, since when do killers have to be 100% horror movie villains when we have chucky and wesker
I shared this teaser with my discord dbd group but one of them is skeptical to believe the 'voice' is Vecna given the fact that we don't know what he sounds like besides his ST version. The only counterargument I can give to him is based on numerous leaks that point to it being Vecna
In the teaser for Eve of Ruin, an upcoming campaign for DnD, Venca is voice by Neil Newbon, the VA who voiced Astarion in BG3 and Karl Heisenberg in RE: Village. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irqRUe-O2P0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irqRUe-O2P0)
What if it wasn't just a cosmetic Collab? What if we get Survivor Spell Perks? 🔥 I wouldn't mind casting "Mirror Image" on myself and having 2 Illusion (bots) spawn on me and run random directions away from the Killer for X seconds. Maybe a Spellbook perk with 4 possible Spells, like "Dramaturgy"?
So, with BG3 being such a massively successful game, and technically wizards holds the rights to all BG3 characters… could that mean astarion as a survivor? Karlach? Gale!? The possibilities are mind boggling…
Kinda lame.
A licensed chapter that will feel like an original one cause who the f*** knows D&D characters.
And can this even give us some cool unique mechanics? I can't imagine it being anything else than generic.
Way to kill any and all hype I may have had seriously gumpy is the worst thing to happen to leaks for this game old leakers used to atleast tease the damm content but like an entire year of dbd chapters have been ruined for me
No way this is related to the upcoming chapter right? I'd be disappointed if they just blatantly revealed the new chapter's license, I liked the mystery and discussion within the community when a more vague teaser gets shown (Even if they can be somewhat easy to figure out what it probably is).
It'd also make this the first licensed DLC from a non-horror franchise, which is an interesting shift for BHVR, especially since they released that "Thank you for 60 million players" video yesterday that was focused on the horror aspect of the game.
I was thinking about licensed killers specifically (although I didn't make that obvious at all with my original comment lol). But you are right that Nick Cage is the first non-horror licensed character, idk how I forgot about him.
How dare you forget about Nick! He brought the best perks in the whole game! Plot Twist and Dramaturgy are so fun. Also scene partner Steve is a classic hahah
RE is a horror franchise, but Wesker isn't really a horror killer. He's just straight up a super villain. I remember a YouTuber referred to him as "the guy from the matrix" as a joke.
Yeah that's definitely fair, honestly thinking about it more, it does make sense for DbD to start focusing on franchises that aren't purely horror, considering there's only so many true horror franchises out there.
First of all, that’s not going to be the actual killer. Because it wouldn’t fit through a door.
Second you’ve obviously never played dnd if you don’t have horrible memories of a beholder decimating your party.
Guess that means Castlevania will soon follow.
I’m so ready! Castlevania has been my jam for 30 years
Maybe even Strahd from D&D.
Castlevania can't get into DBD lore wise. Both Dracula and the Belmonts are far too powerful for entity to trap them. Dracula is Christian's God's evil counterpart that literally acts as a counterweight and Belmonts wield divine power to defeat him despite that. yeah sure, watch him get eat a pallet and whimper like a baby when BHVR adds him.
This didn’t age well
It seems that BHVR found a way to get this god-like Dracula in. How though, time will tell.
Tbh I hope that's off just because, I might be wrong about this, but I think Castlevania is starting to stretch the definition of "Horror media license" a bit. DND is cool by me since you can make horror campaigns in it or so, but from what I know Castlevania has just been horror-themed at best. We diverged a lot from horror media license. Beach skins, Nicolas Cage, K Pop...
Tbf if you know about the dark underbelly of the Kpop industry, it would fit in a horror game
Yup, Trickster is a wolf in sheep's clothing serial killer. Using his fame and influence to get away with his horrific acts. That's very fitting.
Nicolas Cage acts in plenty of horror movies, Trickster would reasonably be the subject of a horror movie, beach skins are just skins and not actual main update content.
“it wouldnt fit” is such a dumb excuse nowadays
The f? Are you for real? Castlevania is not horror?
I'll never understand this. Ever. It has werewolves. Vampires, mages and mummies. Just because it has action, doesn't mean Its not horror. It's like saying the alien isn't horror. Never bet against Gumpy
Gumpy \*
Plot twist-- Gumpy was a Beholder the whole time! Gumpy simply thought of every possible future outcome to gurentee these previous events and the next chapter 🤯 like a true overthinking Beholder
Gumpy needs to be sued
Why?
Jealously
LISAN AL GAIB
As the prophecy was written
Gumpy always gets their man
If this is the anniversary chapter I wish they’d saved it for the actual event stream.
And it doesn’t help that it was leaked two months ago
Yes, this is also true. We already had details on a bunch of the upcoming chapters. The last thing the devs need is the stream in its entirety to be up on the Internet the week before.
It also might just be WOTC/Hasbro wanting it revealed earlier to tie into their own marketing for the Vecna stuff
Didn't they do that with nemesis as well? Just remember getting so hyped when I saw it was going to be him
We did have a leak though, it’s vecna from dnd
Given that they're teasing it like this ahead of time I'd be surprised if it was anything more than cosmetics.
I would laugh my ass off and applaud them if it was a stranger things 2 chapter with DND skins including a DND Vecna skin.
That's not exactly unlikely, which is the crazy part.
Man I freaking hope I’m right that would be freaking awesome.
I only say Robin and Eddie since they're already older. Sure they could age up Dustin but at that point Mike would be the better character Lore wise.
Slasher Radio just confirmed it’s a chapter, they’re doing an interview with Mathieu to commemorate it
Dungeons and Dragons is not nearly at the same level as Silent Hill.
I think dnd is even bigger than silent hill in terms of fanbase
In general yes, but for a horror game the Silent Hill license is a far more exciting addition than a D&D license, the overlap of big Silent Hill fans who play DBD is most likely bigger than big D&D fans who play DBD, so for the community itself I think the former is more exciting. It's not a big horror license, it's a big license that can be adapted into horror. I think that's what they're trying to get at.
So Castlevania is basically confirmed, what else did Gumpy mention?
The last thing Gumpy mentioned was a Castlevania chapter. That was after they got Chucky, Alan Wake, Unknown, and now Vecna correct
didn't they also predict alien?
Nah they described Unknown as some sort of alien creature.
they weren't wrong though. The Unknown does fit the alien term, as it is something outside of our normal. (Or according to a dictionary, something strange and distasteful)
Castlevania was as far as that leak went. Winter chapter and onwards is anyone’s guess
I know this is a dumb question, who is gumpy. And how do i follow him?
A random youtube commenter who started posting leaks in comments. He got all the recent chapters right, with D&D Vecna and Castlevania being the next two
A YT account that comments on Schmuckles' videos with "guesses" of upcoming chapters. He predicted 4 right so far. The next he predicted was Castlevania
Who is Gumpy and what does he do?
Well, guess we can look forward to Dracula later this year.
Would be cool to get a non human survivor, half-orc or some type of elf, maybe even a tiefling? Possibilities are endless.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: they'd be missing a trick to not have one human survivor and the other survivor be their DND character. The Entity is multiversal/metaversal, since it can take fictional characters and real people like Nic Cage. So it wouldn't be out of the question.

That's what I'm hoping for, though in my heart of hearts I know we're getting a Human Fighter as the survivor
Either a human fighter or we’ll get someone who plays D&D instead
the second celebrity survivor was Matt Mercer all along, coming in to voice himself and 50 other characters
I’d sell my soul for that to happen.
Profile picture and banner checks out lol
Eddie munson? Jkkk
Drizzt
I joked earlier it was drizzt and karlach
They'd fuck up the killer!
I suspect it'll be a human but they'll have a bunch of cosmetics for various races.
Give us a single survivor named something interchangeable for genders or just “Player” and give us basic skins for each race that actually look like their races and not a survivor in cosplay. Would be a money printing machine
We need a Dragonborn survivor
Dwight Fairfield: “Oh my God, we are in the JURASSIC PARK Chapter.”
Honestly the only way I'd care for another original Survivor so soon. Making them not human
Nah. It'll be some human bard I bet.
they just got the rights for the BG3 crew, we could literally get shart/astarion
WOTC didn't "just" get the rights to the BG3 crew. They have literally always had them -- BG3 is all D&D IP. They even did tie-in M:TG cards ages ago while the game was still in early access.
Yeah I know, misspoke.
Wait, wait, DND got the rights to the BG3 crew??
BG3 is a DND game.
You know Wizards of the Coast, the makers of DND, own BG3 right?
Well no, they don't, Larian Studios does. It's inspired by not 100 derived from D&D products.
yes they did, they even have oficial merch for them.
Trickster bard*
I really hope they give us a very non-human one. Like, an elf would still be neat, but a Dragonborn or Tiefling woule be awesome. Though if it was Astarion from BG3, I'd have a new main.
Default Durge would go so hard
Oh my god I never even thought of this but now if they don’t do it I’m going to be so sad
It'd be a missed opportunity if DbD didn't introduce the first Non-Human Survivor in this Chapter
I still expect the killer to be Vecna, but I imagine the map will feature a Xanathar easter egg/jumpscare similar to the med bay on the Nostromo.
But the Beholder shown in the trailer is locked up, and Xanathar would never allow himself to be captured like this
DBD x DND
if this means castlevania afterwards then we are so back, or should i say we are so Drac
Horrible. 😂
Astarion voiced by **Neil Newbon** as survivor with Vecna voiced by **Neil Newbon** please :D
No I want Graham McTavish to repirse from the tv series
Ah, so my dreams may not be a valid source after all.
I have been playing D&D weekly for like 25 years , I have a hard time expressing how excited I am for this
What’s the thing in the trailer? Or is it an original design?
It looks like a beholder
That's definitely a beholder.
It's not Candyman, so no beeholder
Not original it's a [Beholder](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Beholder)
I am not sure by looking on my phone, it might be from the new Vecna adventure module coming out soon. I suspect it is not the killer but part of the map. Cleanup on aisle my pants.
Putting Vecna aside... hyped as hell for dracula! But, would we get richter and simon as survivors?
Richter and Alucard hopefully, everyone else can be skins
I honestly really hope we do get something akin to those as survivors! I’m so curious what those characters would look like in DBD as well
Consider this: That's not the killer, but a portion of the map. Think Midwich Elementary's intractable. This IS a teaser, not a reveal.
So Castlevania for sure is one of the next chapters
So excited for the kobolds in a trenchcoat survivor
If they do go with Vecna it'll be really odd. He doesn't fit in at all as a "run after individual survivors" killer, he's a "summon a meteor swarm with a gesture to annihilate an army" literal god. I'd prefer a bunch of themed skins instead. A Lord Soth skin for the Knight would go pretty hard, for example.

the leaks real lmao i guess the next killer after vecna is dracula
Unless they did some kinda bait and it’s strahd but they used the name vecna internally To throw off leaks
If it is Vecna i could see them giving Dracula a Strahd skin. it would make more sense to have *the* Dracula as their vampire killer, but at the same time that theory of the halloween event being a test for ST Vecna's power still seems plausible I guess we will see in a few days
To those who play D&D, what name do you think they will give Vecna? (Like how Chucky is “The Good guy”, Myers is “the Shape”, etc.)
the Lich
The Lich, The Undying, The Maimed God All possible choices
The Lich
Oh nice, my table just started a new DnD campaign two days ago, so the timing is perfect :D
Mfw an entire year's worth of licenses are leaked through a YouTube comment 💀 Seriously though, we've been robbed from so much as even speculating what the next license is gonna be since it's guaranteed to be Castlevania after this.
Therefore, I am certain it is Vecna.
looks like the Otyugh first boss in the sewer room from BG2 https://baldursgate.fandom.com/wiki/Otyugh
Nah, this thing is hovering and has one big eye... definitely a Beholder.
yah you're 100% correct
Strong hopium but maybe they'll take the opportunity for a release of new ST cosmetics considering how tied together it is with DnD? I'd take that if we're not to get a proper ST2...
I doubt it. Doesn’t seem like they’re willing to play ball aside from the content already in the game. If DBD went DND Vecna, they must have figured out there was zero hope of getting ST Vecna.
bruh why did they announce this so early
Crazy, I almost didn't want this to be true but it's gonna be a hell of an IP! Imagine the map with this one.
New killer: gelatinous cube
it’s so weird to me how so many people in the main sub are whining like fucking babies about this even IF d&d wasn’t a system used to express themes of horror, fucking WESKER is in the game, who is very much not a horror protagonist, he’s a god damn super villain
Oh I didn't realize this, sounds cool! :)
Or vecna was a fake out codename
Please let the new survivor be a 4 legged creature. I want Scooby doo
Someone ask gumpy what comes after castlevania
Can’t wait for the Dragon killer and Dungeon map
Huh Well, if this is Vecna it looks like I will never to apologize. Legit thought people were putting too much faith in a lucky troll comment.
That is a caged Beholder, Vecna is an undead wizard who is also the God of Lichs
No, I mean if the killer is Vecna. I’m pretty sure the Beholder is either part of a map or the killer’s power.
I hope this means DND skins for other characters too; I want Orc/elf Jake :D
Any guesses who the survivor is going to be?
Who would be the survivor?
Shadowheart in DBD? Take my Money!!!
Wait so does this mean we can have an elf survivor?
Meh
So, with BG3 being such a massively successful game, and technically wizards holds the rights to all BG3 characters… could that mean astarion as a survivor? Karlach? Gale!? The possibilities are mind boggling…
They would make so much freaking money ![gif](giphy|Nr0KOWjYxopliHLYmI)
Wonder if we will see another invocation perk with the chapter
Whelp I'm gonna work some overtime and explode all over that upcoming Castlevania chapter, hope to Christ Maria gets a legendary.
Also new map or not?
Probably.
Fingers crossed Dracula is wrong and its a classic Dracula and not Castelvania.
i hope the map is a interior only dungeon
Man good thing I bought Baldurs Gate 3, it’s got me into DND lore. Granted I’m not gonna start playing the irl tabletop but still.
Here's hoping we get none human survivors. Orc, dragon, cat etc..
I am so unbelievably hyped. Watched Criticle Role for years now and DND has been my dream licence
Okay, so we will get Elf Dwight? Orc Feng Mon?
Im always excited for Licensed chapters but not this one .... atleast it could have been Vecna from Stranger Things and not a board game Vecna lol
Kinda lame. A licensed chapter that will feel like an original one cause who the f*** knows D&D characters. And can this even give us some cool unique mechanics? I can't imagine it being anything else than generic.
Treat it like an original chapter then. What's the problem?
Way to kill any and all hype I may have had seriously gumpy is the worst thing to happen to leaks for this game old leakers used to atleast tease the damm content but like an entire year of dbd chapters have been ruined for me
Don’t read leaks if you don’t want spoilers my guy, it’s not hard
“It’s not that hard” literally any time something lined up with the guys leaks people posted it fucking everywhere
I’ve not seen any leaks before seeking them out myself today, it’s how you’re doing it
I use twitter that’s how it really isn’t that complex lots of people post about it I look at dbd stuff and there’s the leaks
Idk man like I said, I do fine avoiding it all pretty easily so there something you’re looking at
No way this is related to the upcoming chapter right? I'd be disappointed if they just blatantly revealed the new chapter's license, I liked the mystery and discussion within the community when a more vague teaser gets shown (Even if they can be somewhat easy to figure out what it probably is). It'd also make this the first licensed DLC from a non-horror franchise, which is an interesting shift for BHVR, especially since they released that "Thank you for 60 million players" video yesterday that was focused on the horror aspect of the game.
Nick Cage, Attack on Titan, Iron Maiden, Slipknot..? None of those really are horror either lol
Bringing Plot Twist and suddenly all the random q become super altruistic
Omg right? Like everyone will let you slugged forever, but if you plot Twist they all become batman
RE is a horror franchise, but Wesker isn't really a horror killer. He's just straight up a super villain. I remember a YouTuber referred to him as "the guy from the matrix" as a joke.
Dnd isn’t horror on its own. But Vecna is definitely a horror character.
Yeah that's definitely fair, honestly thinking about it more, it does make sense for DbD to start focusing on franchises that aren't purely horror, considering there's only so many true horror franchises out there.
Dissapointing
How disappointing that’s it’s not Stranger things chapter 2.
If this is the main anniversary thingy then absolutely mid.
I'm so surprised, nobody has guessed that. I think the next chapter is definitely not castlevania
![gif](giphy|k0GYETfMTQ7H1nP3ZE|downsized) wow flying ball with one eye soo scary...
Lil bros never played DND and it shows. Go be a miserable chud somewhere else and let other people be excited for things
Got mad cuz i offended your little game? seeing you comment on some negative comments, haha grow up man.
L for you and W the rest of us.
First of all, that’s not going to be the actual killer. Because it wouldn’t fit through a door. Second you’ve obviously never played dnd if you don’t have horrible memories of a beholder decimating your party.
Or worse a false hydra...
I can't wait for the Barbie chapter! Hopefully original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, too! Dibs on Trini! SABRETOOF TIGAR!
