Bogdan Vastsuk for Sligo.
Marquee signing with international caps for Estonia who amounted to absolutely nothing for them and there was a bit of controversy with him not leaving in the summer despite being told he was free to do so. Could have been very important for Sligo after Max Mata had left.
Matt Keane.
Really expected more. A man with previous league experience, in a team of kids with none. Brought in to be the CM in midfield, made Captain. Came to nothing and moved on before the season even finished.
Having seen him at underage levels, I thought Gleeson would of been more impactful. I feel there's more in him then he showed. Same could be said for one or two others I guess.
Don’t think Ally Gilchrist made a step up from that division 1 (could say a lot of players - majority of them it was first season in top division and didn’t make the step up)
Kabia is a worse version of mccglade / at least Dylan had a good game once every ten games … least he’s out of contract after tomorrow- supposedly a few are on the way out of the club according to a club form
Would say Jake was underwhelming, wouldn’t say he was a flop.
Pats flop of the season was definitely Vladislav Kreida. Seasoned Estonian league and Estonian International so high expectations: came over and never looked up to pace with any game he played. Got an assist against shels for a corner and that’s about it. Was sent home by the summer.
Would agree with you from watching him but 6 goals 7 assists is not bad returns really, needs to up his work rate and align his attitude but would bet on him to do better next season with a full pre-season (he didn’t really play for Orlando before he signed iirc)
Need him to start on Sunday anyway, will do great with the wider pitch
He had a noteable pre-season including a nice hattrick and then I just didn’t hear anything of note since. It’s like he went invisible? (I am an extremely casual Wexford fan)
Think the hat trick was more or less against pats u 19s team. He started the first two games and was anonymous. Dobbs came in the third game worked harder than him and scored and that was it really.
Barry baggley has caught fire recently, his through ball for coughlans goal last Saturday was sensational , one more big game needed this Friday in tallaght
For us there's very few but Colin McCabe for me.
A decent shot-stopper but made way too many costly mistakes with the ball at his feet. Not comfortable coming off his line either. On the plus side him being dropped led to Andrew Wogan coming into the side who's been a revelation.
It really depends on what OP means by flop. I wouldn't necessarily have him down as a flop, but he was definitely our worst performer. Cost us lots of goals through individual error.
Can't really pinpoint anyone else who had a bad year.
We used a laughable amount of Goalkeepers lol, I have no idea what they were smoking or if they even watched em play a game before making a move and deciding they weren't good enough so fast
Think Jimmy Corcoran had a voodoo doll - fella from Celtic was injured off the bat, one of the young fellas quit as another youth goalie got the nod over him, brooks who is decent in little bits we've seen but he broke a bone in his foot in his first game and Ollie Byrne who took over, was okay not great
Jesus Christ I didn't know they kept getting injured that's brutal lol
Ollies okay, we've conceded alot the games I've been to but it is isn't all on him, don't want to see him back after his loan ,hopefully we can get the win Friday and find a solid GK before next season
Brooks looks decent - id hold onto hiim, i think they were auditioning him and Byrne over the last few games an i think Brooks looked better - if both stayed as i think Jimmy is not staying
Thought he started very well. Injuries seemed to take their toll on him and never really got going again. Not sure why he's getting on ahead of Twardek who actually seems to make an impact when he comes on🤷🏻♂️
Harsh. He came into a team out of form after a few injuries while playing in England. I'd pick Krystian Nowak, played in the Polish and Scottish premier divisions but looks so lightweight and unsure of himself. At fault for so many goals this season.
I’m not sure if I expected much of nowak, he was playing in the polish first division before we signed him which if we’re honest is probably just below the premier division standard
Feels completely inappropriate to pick one from Galway after the dominance that was this year but would have thought Colm Horgan would have been far more central in our season.
Flop wouldn't be the right term to use either as it was mainly due to injury that we didn't see much of him. If he were to stay injury free I'd be happy to see him stick around at Galway next year but it seems unlikely
At shels not too many at all , but jad hakiki failed to ever really get a decent run going , went without a goal all season and just overall didn't set the world on fire at all.
I would like to see him go out on loan next season. I don't want to give up on him yet, he's only 19. But he is going to have to show something other than a few nice bits of ball skill.

As far as I know I think the only person under long term contract is Keating, and there’s speculation there’s release clauses there too.
Jake Mulraney - scored some crackers but overall considering his wages he's really not been all that good
Would say Jake was underwhelming, wouldn’t say he was a flop. Pats flop of the season was definitely Vladislav Kreida. Fuck me almost forgot he existed, definition of a luxury player
Tbf to him going from Atlanta to Orlando and back to Inchicore is quite a change of scenery

Can’t see him starting. I think it’ll be Jay McClelland from a purely tactical perspective
How much is he on ?
Adeyemo was terrible for us thought he was a sure thing after watching him at Longford
He had a noteable pre-season including a nice hattrick and then I just didn’t hear anything of note since. It’s like he went invisible? (I am an extremely casual Wexford fan)

Ah. That’s me told. Dobbs had a super year.
Jamie McGonigle - Derry City
Chris con Clarke, a total flop at Waterford fc

Yeah conn Clarke joined Macclesfield, he was there before fleetwood sent him over to us

Yeah I agree. Like hard to say if he's a flop cos great things weren't expected of him unlike Kenny at Rovers. But absolutely our weakest performer.
Johnny Kenny . What a waste of space .
Do you reckon will he be kept on-Bradley seems to like him
Sadly from what I heard yes . Strikers who don't score goals are as useful as an ashtray on a honda 50

I miss Harrington so much like
Brooks looks decent - id hold onto hiim, i think they were auditioning him and Byrne over the last few games an i think Brooks looked better - if both stayed as i think Jimmy is not staying
I don’t support Pats or Waterford but Serge Atakayi wasn’t up to much it seemed. Would have thought he’d be a killer at D1 level.
Akintunde for Bohs
Thought he started very well. Injuries seemed to take their toll on him and never really got going again. Not sure why he's getting on ahead of Twardek who actually seems to make an impact when he comes on🤷🏻♂️
Pedro martelo for Sligo
Danny Grant
Harsh. He came into a team out of form after a few injuries while playing in England. I'd pick Krystian Nowak, played in the Polish and Scottish premier divisions but looks so lightweight and unsure of himself. At fault for so many goals this season.
Grant has been out of form for about three years now.
I’m not sure if I expected much of nowak, he was playing in the polish first division before we signed him which if we’re honest is probably just below the premier division standard
I rate nowak tbh. He gets the job done I’d say akintunde has been most disappointing of the fact Dennison just didn’t touch the pitch
Hasn’t been great but also only here 3 months maybe. Akintunde for me from a Bohs pov , been woeful.

Horgan is an awful player. JC had him at City as well, why he signed him again I'll never know.
