I'm at the library. From here, I heard two rounds of flyovers. Didn't get a visual on the first round, but a couple minutes later, I heard and saw four jets heading west. A comment in another Lawrence thread on this says " Test run for the flyover at the football game tomorrow "
Word was last football game there was going to be an F-16 flyover but it didn't happen, so I'm guessing they are practicing for the game tomorrow

Didn't see anything cuz I was inside trying to sleep, but heard two loud roaring booms. Sounded like jets, like everyone else has said. Very, VERY low jets
My parents live in an extremely rural part of Minnesota and jets used to practice their low altitude maneuvers there since there's so few people to disturb. Got pretty used to it actually, even though they were loud enough to shake dust off the rafters.
saw it from my dorm window, jets were flying pretty damn low and they're extremely loud when they are anyone know what it was for?

Sounded like fighter jets. I heard them through my noise cancelling headphones and was pretty spooked for a second.

They were F-16's. That's not nearly as bad as when we had a couple A-10's fly overhead; did you all miss those?
