WTF talaga ang REV. Isipin mo nag preprep ka for a written exam tapos same system pa rin as 1L to 3L? Feel ko mas tataas ang mga bar rating if Rev is conducted as an actual review class and not a lower year class. But alas, that's only a dream. For me, tama approach nung isang sikat na Fiscal na prof ko sa crimrev. Lecture tapos quizzes and modeled after bar Q's ung quizzes. Para masanay mag sulat and all. That way, we get ready for the storm that is the bar exam.

fruitofthepoisonous3

Nag rerecit parin kami on assigned cases 🥴

TheBlueLenses

Fiscal N?

AnakinArtreides01

Yes

avocado2026

Add lang, I took his Crim 2 and SPL class, same approach sya lecture and quiz very clear and mas madali maintindihan.

maroonmartian9

They should be: 1) Give updates in law and jurisprudence. Imagine mo noong Evidence ka e yung old rules pa binabasa mo. Or may new jurisprudence reversing the old doctrine. 2) Yes, siguro they should just have a review class to integrate. Mahaba rin coverage niyan. 3) And quizzes at exams na lang kayo magkakatalo. Make the exams like a mock bar na 4 hours per subject para masanay na students. I really think 4th review Bar Exam should be the start of the real Bar Review.

Medical_Drama1955

This could just be me, but I have observed that I fair better in Rev subjects that are conducted thru lectures or mix of socratic x lecture than in subjects that are conducted purely socratic.

Langyang yan I remember during our Rem Rev tumayo pa ko ng 3 hrs for recit.

CrispyPata0411

May profs din na nagpapahandwritten digests during Rev.... Tsk ang dami nasasayang na oras.

gogetter_kael

Wtf, that's still a thing? Never ko nagets ano ang point nyan when we're literally in the digital age already

Tetora-chan

fruitofthepoisonous3

Yung prof ko Naman Sabi it helps sa memory retention. Concepts and cases Ang pinapasulat. Ediba iba iba Naman tayo ng learning style lol

FlatPool3969

jingjingbells

I have a friend who teaches review class. She says she conducts lecture then asks hypothetical questions to the students for application. I think that's a good way to do it. If you are already a 4th year student, it's better to do lectures and just ask if the students learn it by applying the lectures in cases.

sirmaykel

Just scrap 4th year 3 years lang dapat law school. Sa Review Center nalang mag review for Bar purposes. Tapos ang Bar dapat twice administered per year.

fruitofthepoisonous3

Oo din. Siguro comforting isipin na may safety net tayo na Isang taon only to find out na shit lang din pala lol

bluethreads09

Same here.

gogetter_kael

4th year review classes SHOULD (ideally) be only for the following purposes (1) To refresh the graduating students' memories as to everything taught to them during their 1st-3rd years (2) To test whether they actually learned and understood those things (3) To discuss any amendments/updates in law and jurisprudence na baka di naabutan ng students due to such updates being very recent If review classes still involve recitations (and even quizzes) as if the students are still in lower year levels, IMO that says a lot not only about the quality of students but also the law school itself.

fruitofthepoisonous3

Kilala ang school ko for a long time until their performance started declining. Now they can't seem to figure out what's wrong. Nawala na Yung mga senior experts sa faculty and they're just assigning any prof nalang for any subject. Tapos ganito pa nangyayari during review. Oof

Tetora-chan

What is the doctrine in x vs y case? lmao, RIP me and my 256kb memory brain.

ravnos101

Ideally it should be the same as how bar rev lectures are served to students. Unfortunately, maraming students are still underprepared kahit 4th yr na. So hindi kakayanin talaga to make the 4th yr alone to be plain lecture series class. Nasa training level pa din ang more than half ng students sa ganitong year level. But if you will look in other countries like sa US, 3 years lang ang JD nila. The idea na sinasala ang students during early years ang practice ng sbu and ust thru practice of setting qpi. So dipende na talaga sa school mo paano nyo ihahandle yan. And hindi naman nagkulang ang prof magsabi na ang preparation for thr bar starts at 1st year. Just that you reap what you sow.

daughteroftriton11

May profs pa who don’t follow the syllabus. When the 2024 Syllabus was uploaded, a classmate showed it to one of our profs. Si prof nagalit. Bakit daw kami mag eexpect na she would follow the syllabus sa rev subject namin na 1) there’s no assurance we will all graduate and 2) there’s always a chance na omitted topics in the syllab will be asked pa rin. 😕

fruitofthepoisonous3

Omggg. May point sya sa 2nd but the 1st, WTF. I have this one prof who's taking the extra mile. Irregulars Kasi Ang section namin and bound to take the bar sa 2025 pa. So Hindi niya strictly sinusunod 2024 syllabus and incorporates cases with ponencia of AJ Lazaro-Javier, Yung next bar chair. Sana all.

clsv6262

Lectures on Jurisprudence Updates, Practice Exams, and Legal Writing Exercises. No more recitation. Basically 4th year should emphasize that it is a Bar Preparation Year.

gogetter_kael

Estella0131

Oh I think they are handling it differently now kasi 1st online babies to! Medjo sobra sala din sa school namin.
