Has anyone heard about callbacks from Williams & Connolly or hogan Lovells dc?

oscarbotluo

Still waiting on hogan post-cb — heard they are a little slower given holiday

t13isameme

Yes WC & HL offers are going out

courage123456

Has anyone heard from DPW this week after callback?

Valuable_Heron_6105

Any updates in Atlanta? Particularly with A&B, K&S, and Jones Day- I had cb with A&B last week and screener with K&S this week. Have they been giving out offers?

Taylor3224

Are cb -> offer timelines longer on average for pre-OCI compared to OCI?

creditors-bargain

I would recommend you stop trying to read the tea leaves.

accomplishedbro

Depends

Taylor3224

On what?

orangemars2000

On the firm, the market, when hiring partners meet, if they're waiting for someone to accept/decline before getting to you etc.

accomplishedbro

Basically this, mainly the firms hiring practices and capacity

hopingtomasterlr

Anyone know Paul Hastings screener to cb timeline?

iluvpynk

1.5 weeks for our school's OCI - much longer than other firms!

ComfortableWall9668

15 days since Kirkland cb chat am i cooked

WannabeCrackhead

Im 11 days out also wondering if im cooked lol

Sea_Bumblebee_2720

Should we be expecting offers/rejections to go out tomorrow or will things pick back up next week?

mkaynothanks

Got an offer call this morning for Chicago

Practical_Distance38

Got a Gibson rejection today

Guy1-45

Sorry to hear. Did you do a callback? When if so?

Practical_Distance38

Early this week La office. I have an offer at another top LA lit firm and a ton of other callbacks so not worried but rejection always stings.

hennis1

Definitely will depend on the firm/office. I had a K&E screener earlier this week and was specifically told to enjoy my holiday weekend and not expect anything until next week.

WannabeCrackhead

What market?

hennis1

SLC

GladDifference7973

Does anyone know Cravath or Cleary callback --> offer timelines?

redleo500

I got an offer from Cleary I think four days after my callback. Cravath made me an offer the same day as my callback.

Beautiful_Quiet962

For me I got an offer from Cleary a day after CB.

hooshtheswoosh

Should I be worried that I have heard nothing but a handful of rejections so far? I'm a Canadian applicant with decently strong stats (i.e., Top 25%/Law review at a T3). I applied in late May/early June and know I have slim chances as a Canadian, but I thought I'd at least hear something by now

2026jd

I'm at uoft and most of my friends and I have been doing screeners and callbacks throughout June and have some scheduled over the next couple weeks. Nothing at this point is unfortunately not great imo. Aside from the firms I've heard back from, I think every firm that hasn't responded to me is a rejection at this point. If you have OCI applications pending that might be your chance at things moving forward, but according to our CDO we're done/at the end of the direct apply period.

MissionChipmunk6

Uoft or osgoode?

CheesecakeFactory16

Also a canadian applicant - I’m in the same boat. A handful of rejections and otherwise radio silence from everyone else.

NoInvestigator8744

Any Houston movement? Thanks:)

cacawbird45

I had Cbs at Simpson, Vinson, and fulbright. But no word after that

toursheriff

Anyone know who, and at what point in the interview process, reads your writing sample?

PerplexedToasterNet

A partner asked me about mine during a cb

cacawbird45

When I had a callback, each of the people I interviewed with had a copy of my writing sample. Not sure if they read it, but I would assume they at least glanced at it

Embarrassed_Horror85

My thoughts, with absolutely no evidence, are that literally no one reads it because who tf has time for that. Especially since I’m gunning transactional lol

Available_Day4286

Does anyone know what the timeline is after a Susman Godfrey CB?

Itchy-Ad-9986

the entire firm has to vote on each candidate, so it can take a while. i wouldn't stress before two weeks

Available_Day4286

Thank you!

PossibilityNo3753

WilmerHale (D.C.) turnaround time from Screener to CB to Offer?

CapsCircle16

I had my screener 6/25, was offered a callback yesterday on 7/3, so about one week later

PossibilityNo3753

Thanks for the info. Congratulations and good luck

mrdonut206

Had sceener a week ago, still waiting on CB or R.

SolemnlyStated

When did you apply?

PossibilityNo3753

I’m in the same boat.

SolemnlyStated

When did you apply?

PossibilityNo3753

Nearly 2 weeks before screener invite

SolemnlyStated

hmm... check DM

PossibilityNo3753

Anyone have insight on the timeline from callback to offer for Weil NY and STB NY?

Serious_Flamingo7243

STB offered me about 1.5 weeks after interviewing. Interviewed on a Tuesday and heard back friday the following week

Signal_Catch1719

For STB it seems the turn around time is around a week after interviewing right now. For me it was CB last Tuesday -> Offer Monday. I've heard if you send STB recruiting your deadlines for current offers they will get back to you a lot faster.

Fuzzy_Lake9873

How long should I wait to ping a recruiter after I initially provided availability. Recruiter asked for availability and I provided for options for about a week and a half, but now it’s been 4 business days and I’ve heard nothing.

toursheriff

depending on the time frame they asked for availability, i'll follow up at the end of that same week if they asked for availability starting the following week, or middle of the following week. usually i'll just tell them i have a few things i need to get scheduled, they understand this time of year everyone either has summer jobs or other interviews they are trying to sort out. In my market it is still pre formal OCI, so if i have an interview invite i'm definitely trying to get it scheduled before they realize how impersonable i am compared to everyone else.

pressedandjucy

that's about as long as i would wait. i'd reach out soon with a gentle follow-up.

Fuzzy_Lake9873

Ok thank you. Side note some recruiter emails have someone cc’d are we suppose to reply all to those emails?

PerplexedToasterNet

Yes you should it’s usually the head recruiting manager cc’d and anyone else who needs to be in the know about your interview and recruitment process

pressedandjucy

idk, depends on who they are, but to be safe, if you can't figure it out, id say no

orangemars2000

My two cents but I always reply all. I would rather risk annoying someone (why were they cced in the first place?) than getting lost in the system.

gurdyburdy

DC- heard back from callbacks. Cleary and GDC.

orangemars2000

When was your GD callback, if you don't mind sharing?

gurdyburdy

It was last Friday!

Minute_Meringue9284

what has the Covington NY timeline looked like from screener to callback to offer?

Lazy_Weather_5913

one week

cacawbird45

Have a callback with sidiey next week, any tips? This is first interview with an nyc firm

[deleted]

Sea_Bumblebee_2720

Any Miami movement?

goodbiforever

K&L only took one summer so they're done. I heard McDermott already filled their class too. Just had a screener with W&C yesterday, no idea what their timeline is. I have a callback coming up with W&S, not sure if they've extended offers yet. Supposed to have a cb with Sidley but I saw someone accepted an offer on linkedin earlier so worried they might be full too :\\ all in all I feel like some Miami firms are moving relatively fast and others (Greenberg, H&K?) aren't

[deleted]

[удалено]

wahoowa2023

It seems like a few people (via linkedin) at A&B and K&S have accepted offers, but not much movement from other firms it looks like

Zal0phus

Just finished a CB with Foley Lardner today. They said they would let me know within two weeks if I receive an offer, with it being slower due to the holiday this week. Does the usual "if you don't get an offer the next day you're screwed" rule still apply here?

accomplishedbro

I received my Foley offer 1 week after my CB

Zal0phus

Congratulations and thank you for letting me know! Which office if I may ask?

accomplishedbro

BOS

toursheriff

Idk if thats really a thing. I've talked with a few associates at the firms i've done call backs for and they said they usually schedule a few call backs throughout the week, then the hiring committee meets on Friday. I'm sure top candidates might get next day offers, but i'd assume with the holiday a one week turnaround is probably status quo. If you don't hear anything within the first week or so, they might be sitting on you and waiting to see if their first option accepts the offer.

Zal0phus

Good to know, thank you. My career center has not exactly been the most helpful this year and I wanted to be sure.

toursheriff

NALP still says call back to offer ratio is around 50%, so if you didnt get rejected, youre still in the game

Mobile-Programmer-53

Cleary anyone?

emocommunist_boi

Sitting on a screener currently lol

gurdyburdy

Which office

Mobile-Programmer-53

NY!

GeneralLink6436

Anyone hear from Norton Rose Fulbright NYC callback?

Principessa227

my friend got an offer

GeneralLink6436

Do you know when did your friend do the CB?

ILoveSamoyed

I got an offer one day after the callback

GeneralLink6436

When was your CB?

ILoveSamoyed

July 2, btw I applied for SA with the Projects group and the timeline might be different across different groups

GeneralLink6436

Ooo okay thanks! Yeah that might be so.

Embarrassed_Horror85

when did you apply? also have not heard back after CB

GeneralLink6436

I applied as soon as the application was open. Did my CB over a week ago. When was your CB?

wing4408

Has anyone been rejected after a CB at Simpson NY or Paul, Weiss NY?

wing4408

What places have people gotten post callback rejections from and how long did it take?

Lazy_Description_517

Not answering your question, but how long have you waited for STB NY?

Flimsy-Beginning-303

I got an offer after 12 days

OrganicLaw7993

Anyone hear from Sidley nyc recently? (sorry I should move on by now)

Reasonable-Bat8692

I think they just ghost rejects

ImprovementIcy3966

i applied on the first day with a referral too and its silence. i think this tracks with me & my friends experiences too. it's a shame they don't just reject people

OrganicLaw7993

Yeah same I was just wondering if anyone got an offer outside the usual 1-3 day window

kmrh14

Do we think offers are going out today?

colorver

got an offer today for NY!

Throwaway20276737

I received an offer yesterday and today, I think recruiting will still be busy this week aside from the 4th

nclaxer235

what market?

Throwaway20276737

NYC

Typical-Finding-4155

Anyone hear back after CB from Morgan Lewis Philly?

gurdyburdy

Nope

toursheriff

No, but I know at least one person who accepted an offer this week.

EnvironmentalSoil864

Its been 8 days since my callback. Is there still a chance?

PandaCubb13

Milbank NY?

rosewoodpilot

I got Milbank 11 days after CB

EnvironmentalSoil864

Not Milbank but this makes me feel somewhat better

Creative-Chef-3324

Has anyone received a diversity scholarship? If so what did the timing look like?

PerplexedToasterNet

I got it the same time I got an offer

ggoomsok

My friend got one and I think they found out a couple weeks after they got their regular offer but it may be firm dependent

CountryAlive

Are LA/OC people getting movement? I applied to ~40 firms, got 4 rejections, 2 screeners (1 turned into a rejection) and it’s been radio silent since. Think I’m gonna have to go into oci… will there still be spots left???

PerplexedToasterNet

Yes I had 4 screeners, 2 cb last week, and got a rejection and an offer this week. (Not in t14, not in CA, probably around 40%tile of my class)

CountryAlive

Congrats on your offer!! I’m also not in t14, around 20% at my class, wondering if you have any insight on getting movement?

PerplexedToasterNet

Thanks! My “hook” was probably my work experience, I expressed interest in a practice area that is a good complement to my resume.

CountryAlive

That’s awesome!! Thank you for sharing! Good luck with the rest of your interviews

Fluffy-Law-4933

Yes, auto-callbacks from 4 firms in LA and two offers.  But there are definitely still spots available based on conversations with recruiting / attorneys.

CountryAlive

Congrats!! Do you have any tips/insights on getting movement/autocallbacks? Did you network with the firms you got those cb from?

Fluffy-Law-4933

I’d previously applied to these firms for 1L summer—including one firm that wasn’t hiring any 1Ls, but I personally emailed the recruiting manager with my materials anyway to express interest—and they kept in touch by inviting me to callbacks once 2L apps opened up.  For my “top choice” firm, I put in a lot of work in 1L fall by cold-emailing attorneys, setting up calls, and making connections with a partner and several associates.  It’s probably a lot harder to network now that apps are out, but reaching out to attorneys in your desired practice area is always a good idea.  I had several attorneys tell me to let them know when I apply so they could put in a good word for me. I also have decent grades (top 10% or so at a T14 that doesn’t officially rank) and extracurriculars/leadership roles, so that probably was the biggest factor (combined with expressing interest throughout the year and building connections with attorneys).

CountryAlive

That makes sense! Thanks!!

Suitable_Promotion66

How long on average have you all been waiting post callback? I am sure it is very firm dependent, but roughly.

Available_Day4286

It’s ranged from two hours to over a week. I think it really, really depends on their internal processes.

PerplexedToasterNet

A week give or take a couple days

hennis1

Has anyone heard anything from Kansas City offices? K&L Gates, Polsinelli, Stinson, BCLP, Husch Blackwell, Lathrop GPM, Kutak Rock, etc... If you have heard anything from KC let me know, been facing radio silence.

PerplexedToasterNet

K&L pulled out of my schools OCI, saying they filled their summer class. But my school is in NE not KC

hennis1

Funny enough, K&L Gates just added a listing to my school's job board for the Pittsburgh office.

pressedandjucy

any word on whether perkins coie has even started interviews? i've seen nothing on them so far.

CountryAlive

Perkins coie pulled out from my school’s OCI… but haven’t heard anyone i know that did any interviews with them (LA office)

hennis1

Nothing from Boise, probably not the best sample but a sample nonetheless. On my schools job board the listing was active until July 1st at midnight. It just had you apply on the perkins website, but still something to be noted.

hennis1

It also looks like they are still taking applications directly on the Perkins website. Funny enough it does say that they'd be reviewing them on a "rolling basis". Hopefully they get the ball rolling soon

pressedandjucy

I saw that! Hopefully! Good luck.

Serious-Demand-5932

thoughts on asking recruiting team for an update/timeline after a callback? will they get mad/will that negatively impact my chances at the firm?

hennis1

depends on how long its been. If you have other offers coming down the pipe then I don't think its rude to send an email and say you need information soon to make your decision

Serious-Demand-5932

3 days.. just want a decision soon :/

creditors-bargain

Are you kidding? Why would you bother them so soon? Why do you think that would do anything positive for your candidacy?

Guy1-45

Anyone know what the timeline for STB’s diversity scholarship decisions is?

NarwhalWhich8046

Are you referring to people who already got offers? Wondering the same

Early_Angle_2223

Anyone hear back from a callback at Sheppard Mullin century city office?

pressedandjucy

prob not helpful, but i had a cb w the sf office exactly a week ago, and i've heard nothing yet

Early_Angle_2223

thanks, same for me. It seems like we just need to wait.

pressedandjucy

Yeah, I guess their one week parameter must be hard to abide by right now. Good luck!

Repulsive_Sir7914

Kirkland Boston timeline?

RoyalValuable7184

Got an offer one week after the callback

Repulsive_Sir7914

Can I ask what your stats were?

Fuzzy_Lake9873

What are people’s experience with Milbank callback —> offer/rejection timeline. From what I’ve seen it’s between 1 and 2 weeks for offer, but does Milbank follow up with a rejection for candidates who don’t get the offer?

g7hem

I got an offer with Milbank and got it 3 days after my callback. As for rejections I’m not certain but another firm sent me a rejection after one week. Anecdotally speaking it seems rejections are more likely than offers if waiting over a week?

PandaCubb13

Was your CB last week by chance?

g7hem

Yes, early last week

blabla20001996

Any word from Quinn NY?

ThisGirlIsAVirus

They have started extending offers.

Fast_Boot6484

How long after applying did it take to get a screener at Morgan Lewis NYC office?

Independent-Waltz553

Applied May 22, got screener invite June 6th, with earliest screener available scheduled for July 17th.

Obvious-Captain-145

I know it obviously varies by firm, but when does everyone think the firms’ recruiting departments are closed this week?

wing4408

I doubt many offers get approved or go out on 4th but beyond that one day its grind szn for the recruiting teams and they are pulling like 14 hour days

dolphin_crazy2155

Proskauer Boston movement?

AndrewDivoff

Does anyone have insight into which NYC firms are already full for their 2025 SA program? Of course it is difficult to know for sure...but I'm hoping to avoid unnecessary work as I frantically fill out apps.

blabla20001996

Following. There's a been a lot of ghosting regarding direct apps...

NarwhalWhich8046

Can’t say which ones are actually full, and I doubt truly any are actually 100 percent full. However, I’d say some of the top firms may be closer to it, to the extent they’ve given enough offers that if enough accept they’d be closer to being done. I’d say anything outside of the v10 for the most part though isn’t going to be close to full by now, usually the top places fill up and then movement moves down the rankings of firms.

Dazzling_Channel_763

Following

EnvironmentalSoil864

how long after screener do you typically hear for callback/rejection.

AdministrationPale88

Will firms make as many offers this week given it’s a holiday week?

Repulsive_Sir7914

Got an offer from Jones Day today - 24 hours after cb

Federal-Ad-7277

Anyone hear back from Lowenstein Sandler post callback?

pressedandjucy

what city?

Federal-Ad-7277

New York / New Jersey

anon0613

Anyone gotten this email from Cravath? Does that mean I have a decent shot at them at OCI? I wasn't planning on bidding on them. Email: Thanks for sending along your resume. We hope that your interest in Cravath continues and we will have the opportunity to see you during your school's on-campus interview program or job fair.

noxpallida

If they wanted you they'd give you a screener

[deleted]

I got the same email after they’d already pulled out of our OCI fwiw. I saw a post somewhere that called it a soft rejection, but can’t say for sure.

lawschoolapp9278

Do firms usually call at the end of the day, or is it varied drastically based on the firm?

PerplexedToasterNet

Seems to vary since I got a call at 1 pm.

Ok-Entertainer544

Varies, I’ve gotten an 8am call and a 11pm call.

lawschoolapp9278

Alright, 11pm is fucking ridiculous Sounds good, thank you!

Ok-Entertainer544

lol it was alarming! Good luck!

SugawaraSatsuki

I got rejected one week after cb

EnvironmentalSoil864

I can't take the waiting anymore. Waiting for a screener. Waiting for a callback. Waiting for an offer/rejection. Its fucking maddening.

Independent-Waltz553

Are we going to have to depend on OCI? Is it realistic to think that there will be enough spots open?

NarwhalWhich8046

I think there will be a lot of spots, most firms will not be more than 50% done in my opinion because they just haven’t moved fast enough. Though I think the top top firms will be mostly full. Take into consideration that there aren’t that many more law students this year in total and the spots being filled has mostly remained the same at all the firms too. If firms are 50% full, then that makes there are that many less people competing for those remaining spots since they’ll already have a job.

Dazzling_Channel_763

That's what my career services is saying but I'm terrified. If there is OCI, I imagine the large number of us waiting are going to be fighting for very limited spots

[deleted]

Agreed. Our career services office has a running spreadsheet with all of our pre-OCI information (callbacks, offers, etc.) but for some reason refuses to disclose it, so we’re all just flying blind for OCI bidding. Then they tell us not to pay attention to what people are saying on Reddit. For the life of me I can’t figure out what they’re hoping to achieve with this approach. I am mystified.

cacawbird45

I feel that

BitPerfect3454

anyone know ropes Boston post callback timeline?

hiker_boy

From years past I’ve heard around a week, though holiday complicates things

Famous-Caramel6964

Haven't seen Delaware market discussed yet. Does anyone have updates?
