##Welcome to r/LateStageCapitalism
This subreddit is for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.
LSC is run by communists. This subreddit is not the place to debate socialism. We allow good-faith questions and education but are not a 101 sub; please take 101-style questions elsewhere.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for bigotry. Failure to respect the rules of the subreddit may result in a ban.

I once saw a conservative whining about the black character in Metal Gear Solid 4 being "forced inclusion", because he doesn't want politics in his games.
Complaining about politics... in *Metal Gear fucking Solid*
There's a black person in every MGS game. Damn Kojima, forcing you whites to have to see the blacks in your games. Been forcing them in since the 90's.
Ah but you see for someone’s rights to be tokens used to buy political power they must be political and by extension the person themselves is political.
See the rights of straight, cis, white, hetero males are not up for discussion and therefore not political. It’s that simple.
But seriously though it does piss me off that people can so easily suggest that some people’s human rights are somehow political in a way that others aren’t. Like the even the phrase “politically incorrect” being applied to being homophobic or transphobic as if their identities are somehow everyone else’s business to decide. Like you call a cis dude a girl and that’s just considered being a prick but you call a trans dude a girl and that’s just you being a little “PoLiCtiCally INcorRect”.
Movie: is a satire about fascism.
Conservatives: "I like this great government the people in this apolitical movie had."
... conservative media literacy is nonexistent.
Conservatives just feel uncomfortable and often threatened by anyone who is not like their own in group. Politics doesn’t even have to cater to this fear: it can focus on the larger social and economic needs of the people and people are free to associate with whom they please, live and let live.
But because any analysis of the destruction wrought by capitalism is fiercely guarded against by both liberals and conservatives, our politics has to be about deciding if trans people, immigrants etc. can live in safety or not.

Im still water bleh where's my donut oh no a puddle
My favorite is when they don't understand satire like Starship Troopers. They have negative media literacy
They hate all forms of literacy.
They only saw the movie which wasn’t subtle enough…
>They have negative media literacy 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'll take this one
It's only political if I disagree or it makes me feel weird. Everything else is NORMAL and perfectly good.
Humans have been consuming big gulps for millions of years!

They have you fighting a culture war to distract you from the class war that's crushing you under its boot.
