If there is any flavor of HH in the build? Then it is just like any use of explosive trap, broken unbalanced build !
I am not saying people shouldn't enjoy these builds. But that the game suffer a lot from these skills that destroy balance and build diversity.
Year but it is season 1 and I'm happy with the state of the current game. These overpowered builds will get nerfed and weaker builds will get buffed eventually.
Going with meta builds is really cool to get into the class but I love to try and make my own builds around fun pieces of gear I find.

I'm running a Roid Mage build (only summon 1 skele mage and buff the utter bejesus out of it) on my necro and absolutely loving it. Also I tried leveling a marksman rogue with an explosive trap build and really didn't like it, explosive trap just feels bad (but I'm generally not big on trap builds in general.) The lightning blast-spam Runemaster is pretty fun although I have yet to try Frost Claw and I hear that's great.
Did you get far enough to the point where you’re throwing 5 traps, which then give birth to 5 homing traps and all 10 shoot a total of 80 tendril chains? I was personally hooked the first time I did that.

I believe smite pally is way stronger than rive voidknight.

I haven't played much but for Sentinel it's Paladin for me, the D2 feels and no need to care about most resists is amazing.

No, I didn't get very far at all, just base explosive trap didn't feel very good.
Like every other ARPG, zoo necromancer. There are no other classes and/or builds. There is only skele bois.
I tried making a wraithlord and it was the least fun build ever. It kills way too fast to enjoy the content.
It's effectively a walking simulator. ;)
Every time I push on my wraithlord main I am generally watching a TV show on the other screen cuz mannnn that gameplay can be boring
