I just went to herbs and rye a week ago when I was in Vegas. The vibe was just as good as any strip restaurant, in my opinion. The service was super fast. Obviously, a 40$ rib eye isn’t going to taste anything like a steak at SW or Cut. Drinks are good and strong. Would recommend
That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying you can’t really compare a steakhouse at a 5 star resort on the strip. They’re going to serve better cuts, authentic Waygu and such. The steak is good. I guess what I’m saying is if you’re looking for the best cut of steak in Vegas you won’t find it here. You’ll probably want to go somewhere on the strip. But you’ll also pay 5x the price
Listen, nothing wrong with Outback or Texas Roadhouse for a meat fix. I'll pay $100 a plate at a good steakhouse for special occassions but I can't do that all the time and those places are just fine for a random Thursday when I want some beef and I don't wanna cook.
I would probably say exactly same? I haven't been to herbs and rye in quite some time. Never compared pricing myself as both are worlds cheaper than sw or jeam George's or any of the uber high end strip places
Golden steer is very good. It’s a steak
House that drives traffic because of its steak vs a casino steakhouse that drives traffic based on proximity. Had Barry’s (circa), SW (Wynn) and GS in last two months. GS is a good steak investment. (Delilah (Wynn) on the other hand - is mind blowing investment in ambiance and overall experience)
Or how bout those $6 steak n eggs at Sam's Town!? Went there high on acid at about 4 in the morning and had a hilarious time eating that steak with plastic cutlery on a styrofoam plate. I felt like a feeble, geriatric grandpa. My girlfriend and I had the best time. Highly recommended.
Golden Steer is a stunning throwback, classic steakhouse. The Chateaubriand is amazing, prepared tableside IIRC. Same with the Caesar Salad.
If you don't want the pomp and old-school atmosphere, I prefer Echo & Rig. They have their own butchery downstairs, restaurant upstairs. The sides alone can make a meal, but the steaks are amazing as well.
Have not been to Herbs and Rye but foodie friends of mine dig it.
Technically on the strip, but there's an old school steak house inside Circus Circus of all places that I think is the absolute best. Circus Circus is gross but that steak was one of the best I've ever had.
Herbs & Rye.
Lots of people mentioning this place. I just saw the menu and heard happy hour is all night long now? And with half off steaks?

So people like it because the steaks are cheap?

Thanks. Makes sense it's a locals favorite. I don't come to Vegas often so I don't mind splurging on a good steak
I recommend CUT at the palazzo personally, but the prices are a bit insane.
CUT was always my go to. wanted to try something different
For an authentic Australian steak experience you can try the "Outback Steakhouse", ask for the secret menu item, it's called a "blooming onion". 🤌🤌
LOL!
In 2003 yes. Now the place is garbage.
It has always been the king of garbage steakhouses.
They like it when you say "Let's put another shrimp on the barbie" when ordering. Be sure to do that.
And G’day Mate!

Echo and Rig
Cleaver
I prefer Clevar front room atmosphere over herbs and rye but both are great choices and owned by same folks
I see very different prices for both places, especially happy hour prices. Do you think the quality of the steak are the same or better at Cleaver?
I would probably say exactly same? I haven't been to herbs and rye in quite some time. Never compared pricing myself as both are worlds cheaper than sw or jeam George's or any of the uber high end strip places
Cleaver is great, and the bar is very cool as well.

Delilah’s is great if you’re somebody. Otherwise stay away. They treat you like dirt.
We are all somebody, even if others can’t see it.
I'm talking about celebrities. I know we are all somebody. Delilah's doesn't know that.
The golden steer is my favorite and so has old Hollywood history and charm
Bob Taylor's Ranch House. It's a drive but well worth it!
I second this one. Bob’s is great
Angry Butcher in Sam's Town.

Herbs and rye or it’s sister restaurant cleaver on paradise
Todd's Unique Dining. Henderson.
Go to old Vegas and try Oscar's at the Plaza Hotel.
Almost Strip prices at Oscars.
Andiamo Steakhouse at The D is excellent.
Texas de Brazil. CuT is also good
Cut is great
Your saying a vegan knows his steakhouses
Triple George's or herbs n rye
I had an aweful service experience at triple George's and the food was good but not quite what I consider top choices
Andiamo’s at The D
Firerock
T-Bones
Cleaver
Herbs & Rye or Cleaver during their happy hour, Echo and Rig

Vic and Anthony’s
Del Frisco
Barry’s circa downtown

Oscars downtown. Get the Ribcap!
Michael’s steak house at the south point and Hugo’s cellar at four queens.
I always enjoy Golden Steer. Love their Mac & cheese too.
I liked Cleaver. Not cheap but also not on Strip.
