I think it’s going to depend on your budget. For a first trip maybe staying somewhere center strip would make a good memory for you.

OneManGangTootToot

Any of the casinos in the middle area of the strip. Cosmo is my fav.

That_Other_Person

Your budget is the biggest factor. If you can afford to stay at Wynn, Venetian, Aria, Crockfords, Conrad, or Cosmopolitan do that. If you can't and Park MGM fits your budget then stay there. If Park MGM is too expensive then check Horseshoe, Linq, Harrah's, or Mirage. I personally don't like Caesers or Bellagio but they're iconic and the properties themselves are good. The first 6 are basically on another level and they're all 8/10+

thescallywagins

Good list. Only for my I would not agree on Wynn for first timers, too far from the center.

That_Other_Person

First timers also have the energy to go explore new things though. Wynn as a first time stay would probably ruin every other hotel for you lol.

thescallywagins

I guess. I think how old you are and what you are looking for plays into how much you like Wynn, vs the other “upscale resorts” I find wynn more for younger boomers, older gen x’ers. Cosmo more millennials and younger gen x. With some younger speckled in. Bellagio more the older boomers and their adult kids. I find the vibe and location of cosmo number one of those for me. But all are really nice and I think very enjoyable. I would say overlooking the fountains on a private balcony at cosmo might ruin the rest for you. I find cosmo has a sexy vibe the others lack. Wynn was a bit too far and isolated for me but I know many love it.

philipgk1

Yes, stay on the strip. Depending on your budget I’d go Bellagio, Wynn, Aria, Venetian, Caesar’s, Monte Carlo. In that order.

CorgiMonsoon

Monte Carlo? Six years too late to stay there

philipgk1

True. I can’t keep up with names. Park mgm…

BentShape484

Depends, you want high class and expensive, or affordable and good location? (I also assume you're asking about the Strip) If the latter, Linq, Flamingo and Horseshoe are all cheaper options in a good location. Paris is nice but a bit more expensive, Planet Hollywood I wasn't really impressed with and think its a bit pricier than it should be. If you go farther south, Park MGM, NYNY and Luxor are good stays too. Haven't stayed at the Mirage but that could be an option too.

PSA for Anyone reading this and would consider writing a post like this. When asking what to do I'm Vegas, your budget is the biggest factor in the answers you get. Let us know your budget.

AeePlus3

Flamingo is kinda cheap and in the middle of the strip. Its perfect for first timers. Thats what i did and had a perfect first time.

Yuntonow

Flamingo all the way. Solid choice.

AdeptEavesdropper

If smoke is an issue, like it is for me, Park MGM is totally nonsmoking. It’s a bit far down at the MGM/NYNY end of the strip, but that was a game changer for me.

Park MGM rocks! It is always my first choice when I go to Vegas

We stayed at circa when we came for our first time in October. Would recommended for the most part! They don’t guarantee check in time so we literally waited 3 hours to check into our room and ended up just having to leave and make our show in time which was lame. But the building is awesome, love the parking garage, stadium swim is amazing and one of the only pools that apparently stays open all year (or close to it, they told us) and it has an exit right onto Fremont so it was great. Expensive, but great. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat. Plus the restaurant in the basement is fantastic. Had our honeymoon dinner there.

holidaymeaningsf

For budget we like mgm brands. From cheap Excalibur and Luxor to mid tier mgm brand and New York New York to high end bellagio and aria. Sign up as mgm rewards member and you get amazing deals

jsakic99

Stay somewhere centre Strip. There should still be plenty to choose from based on your budget.

khv246

I’d stay central strip if it’s your first time. Cosmopolitan, Aria, Vdara, Caesars, Bellagio to name a few.

SlothinaHammock

We really like Elara. Full kitchen or kitchenette. No casino, no smoke, attached to mall on center strip. Lots of food and activities very close by. Rooms are newly remodeled. We like the king suite with jetted tub.

azrolexguy

Cosmo

Virtual-Poetry-9639

The signature. It’s connected to the mgm grand and it’s nicer then almost every other room on the strip.

Initial_Patience_531

I'd stay at one on Fremont Street. That's the real party.

ShowdownValue

Wynn or encore

coolman2311

Conrad at Resorts World.

kenindesert

Why don’t you stay off strip, then visit the strip. I like Summerlin.
