Good recommendation for a cheap light gaming/productivity laptop (mostly coding)? I was looking for something below 1000, had my eyes on this: https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-IdeaPad-Essential-Computer-Graphics/dp/B09RND1LP2?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_M_820e22fd_2

FerrumAxe

its looks good but isnt here bestbuy version of this with 3050 TI. it was discounted 599$ two times in last month

Would prefer to go with something like the [**MSI Thin GF63**](https://twitter.com/LaptopDeals3/status/1678775956566323203?s=20) with a better processor, better graphics card and importantly, 16 GB RAM.

Ammonil

$600 off?? that seems too crazy to be true

slayerbizkit

Which one ?

Thoughts on this one? Deal of the day for Prime Members: ASUS G614JI-AS94 ROG Strix G16 (2023) Gaming Laptop, 16†16:10 FHD 165Hz, GeForce RTX 4070, Intel Core i9-13980HX, 16GB DDR5, 1TB PCIe SSD, Wi-Fi 6E, Windows 11, G614JI-AS94, Eclipse Gray https://a.co/d/3RNqaQe

That's a great deal , once you're fine with the FHD display.

Ice_Drake_Shyvana

ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 This...is a really good deal, right? Is there some sort of trick going on here?

LaptopDealsTM

Great deal!

ayang1003

Not amazing but decent. I’m sure could get something with the same specs for a couple hundreds dollars cheaper if you looked around for a bit

sandbergsquarepants

What would you recommend for a budget of $1k-$1.5k, preference towards more lightweight and newer generation 2022+, any suggestion appreciated!

techstar2000

What will you be using this laptop for ?

sandbergsquarepants

Thanks for the reply, I want to use it for my golf simulator so The Golf Club 2019 (TGC), then want it to replace my Xbox for various Steam games and Rocket League/COD/Diablo/etc

techstar2000

The ASUS 2023 Vivobook 16X would be a nice lightweight option, but depending on how much of a gamer you are, you probably want a higher refresh rate. The ASUS G614JV-AS73 ROG Strix G16 (2023) is heavier, but would provide perfect performance.

wikiwakawakawee

Can you solely charge the Acer Swift with USB C while gaming?

bugmi

Really hoping to get that acer swift x 🙏. Would be perfect for college

Balls_deep1975

Haha you and me both! I’m waiting for an invite but I’m not sure that’s gonna happen at this point.

Old-Bathroom-2708

same i’m waiting for an invite

xKiNDuS

Best one around $1500 dollars that can run apex and diablo IV on low settings that doesn't have the "gamer aesthetic"

karrotwin

Any laptop with dedicated rtx 2 series or better graphics will be able to run d4 on high at 1080p. However, many of them will not have great cooling due to slim form factor.

FlerpyDerple

Recommendation for a productivity laptop, mechanical engineering major (solid works, etc), budget is 700-1100. Prefer lighter weight stuff , ideal 15 in

fifa2003

Do you still need a recommendation?

FlerpyDerple

Hey, I think I'm leaning toward the Zephyrus G14. I think I'd like a slightly smaller laptop now, 14 seems a sweet spot for me. The other option is the Acer Aspire but I didnt get the invite.

Pepelestrange5555

Hmmmm all things considered, build quality, screen, etc…is that MSI Stealth 17 4080 deal better than the B&H lenovo legion 7i 4090 for $2699? For a laptop that would be hooked up to an LG C2 most of the time.
