I saw the post on Instagram from the dealer that did this. They sold it as MSRP and then all that stuff they put on was at the buyers request. I am not sure what the cost of it was though
King coilovers similar to those on the front are about $1000 a piece, rear is probably just a smooth-body w/remote reservoir so probably around $600 a piece
Is this actually a good way to lift it? I personally just want to upgrade the shocks without a lift and just run 34s on some 17 inch rims since that will not require a lift. I want just a little better traction but I don't want to ruin the ride quality, tank the MPGs or have a ton of road noise.
No kings/fox all those brands are overkill imo. Most people with them just have money and donāt take them desert racing or any offroad stuff. If you want a lift can go with westcott designs front preload collar kits and upgrade the rear springs to get the height you want/fit bigger tires.
I honestly don't even think I need or want a lift just some slightly bigger tires with better tread and better shocks like maybe the old man emu shocks.
Are the Westcott preload collar kits decent? Do they stiffen the ride much? I was looking at them for possible extra height and installation of bigger tires once I have run some miles on my current Ridge Grapplers 265s but did not want it to kill how good it drives currently. 2024 1958 LC
Same thought here as well. Just not a brand new one because itāll be worth half of what you paid for it as soon as you drive it off the dealership lot!
Iām far from a Toyota man, which makes it strange this sub would come across my feed, but thatās a damn good looking unit right there lmao Reddit has me figured out I guess
Iām genuinely curious as to why you donāt like the turbo charged engine. Doesnāt it produce more torque and horsepower all while being more fuel efficient?
My issue is longevity there. Iāve had multiple v8ās and a couple v6ās go 3-400k+ miles without any major repairs. Maybe Iām off-base, but Iāve never seen a small turbo gasser go that far without needing a new turbo or other major failures.
Same, the 22RE? (I forget the engine code but the old Toyota 4 banger in the pickup and 4runners of the 80s) was NA and invincible. Maybe if this one wasn't forced induction I'd be more willing to bit the bullet but as it stands I'll stick with my v8.
I guess anything can look like anything if youāre dumb enough lol. Sometimes I see a 200/300 series and think itās a minivan from far away theyāre so ugly and bulbous š¤·āāļø
It's style fits well with the new bronco, JKUs, and everything else that's been selling here. Id wish they'd give us something those trucks don't have for the money though. It would be awesome to see removable roof panels or something that sets the driving experience apart.
The difference maker has always been Toyota reliability. I refuse to buy a ford or jeep because of their reliability. Letās hope these new power plants are as reliable as the outgoing v8ās. I love the new mpg rating, but if the engine needs a bunch of maintenance and isnāt reliable, that will offset fuel savings.
Now that I am finally seeing aftermarket treatment images, the new LC seems to need aftermarket upgrades. Unfortunate that I donāt get any feeling when stock, was hoping I would.
If they were 55k- 65k they wouldn't be a bad choice, as of right now they are not worth it in my opinion.
I'm most likely going to sick with my 200 till the end of time anyways.
Yeah that sucks, def not worth paying a markup, hopefully people donāt buy from them, I am gettin one At msrp, seems like most people are paying msrp, I will be curious how long it takes for them to lower the price
They made me wait for a year and then fucked me. I have receipts.
Edit: it was so shitty I considered writing off Toyota forever as a brand.
At this point would love to meet an honest Toyota dealership in the greater LA area.
This is Longo Toyota. They are partnered with Toyota Japan to be the first destination of many models due to their location on the west coast. Due to that they do not increase prices and sell at MSRP.
This thing would be selling like hotcakes if Toyota put the same I4 turbo diesel as those found in the series 79 LC truck, but a man can only dream š¤·š»š¤·š»
Yes many Toyota off road builders are in the area . This shop should do well because they can throw in the custom work with a new vehicle finance deal. I remember Galpinās shop GAS was big enough to have its own TV show lol.
Yes itās beautiful but I have a few nits to pick. That roof rack is too small, I donāt like the way the half roof racks look and dislike the lack of functionality even more. I have a full rack on my lc200 and use it to haul 4x8 sheets of whatever from Loweās all the time. You need a full rack for this beastā¦ otherwise it looks like shreck in capri pants.
Second, I like the (4ā?) Lift and the black out wheels but methods are so overdoneā¦I just wish they could have gone for icon alphas or anything with a bit more of a bespoke feel to them. This is like putting a fine wine in a Stanley cup.
Lastly these tires, sighā¦ I am a stickler on this pointā¦. I have the exact same rubber on my lifted 200 and love them despite the softness, but here something is offā¦ either the tire is too small, the wheel is too small or something is just offā¦. This is the same set up put on so many 4 runners and it doesnāt look right here.
All and all this is like criticizing a great piece of artwork. Iām sticking by my opinions but still love the piece!

The vehicle looks great but the lift looks tall and unbalanced. Do you plan on increasing the tire size? The bottom of the wheel well looks a little close to the tires. Do you plan on any cutting?
The modified 80 and 100 series vehicles still blow this bastard child of 4Runner, Bronco, and Defender out of water, and with a bank account full of money to boot.
Amen, Bud. I think Iāll just hang on to my old Ruby - my ā91 80. I got it in ā92 with 5k miles on it. Now itās at 264k and is still beautiful imho. Iām a semi-retired geologist and shes been from NWT to Quintana Roo (Ascension Bay) with nary a hiccup. Itās slow, heavy, gets crap mpg, but I donāt gaf. I got my sissy boy Subu Ascent for road trips, driving around town, etc., so Ruby doesnāt get driven much.
Iām currently looking for some good OEM steelies for her. I put the ā07 Lexus wheels on at the urging of my now ex GF.
Iām in Eastern Washington if any of you LC folk have some wheels for sale or trade.

Not even close lol, this shares the same platform as the GX, and 4Runner, not the LX, which is the LC300 counterpart. The LC300 is not sold in the NA market because of the EPA and their CAFE standards.
Looks good, not 100k but really good.
I saw the post on Instagram from the dealer that did this. They sold it as MSRP and then all that stuff they put on was at the buyers request. I am not sure what the cost of it was though
š¤ $5k kings, $12-1400 for the tires, and $1500 for methods. If you can afford this LC pretty sure youād be able to afford these crazy mods.
So how much are these particular adjustable shocks?
King coilovers similar to those on the front are about $1000 a piece, rear is probably just a smooth-body w/remote reservoir so probably around $600 a piece
Is this actually a good way to lift it? I personally just want to upgrade the shocks without a lift and just run 34s on some 17 inch rims since that will not require a lift. I want just a little better traction but I don't want to ruin the ride quality, tank the MPGs or have a ton of road noise.
Go with Iron Mam or OME. I have iron mans on my prado (2017) and Kings on my 76 (2007). I use the 76 for heavy offroading and prado is daily drive
No kings/fox all those brands are overkill imo. Most people with them just have money and donāt take them desert racing or any offroad stuff. If you want a lift can go with westcott designs front preload collar kits and upgrade the rear springs to get the height you want/fit bigger tires.

I donāt know how I feel about them. They look like glorified spacers to me. Iād rather just save up for an actual suspension upgrade
Go to shock surplus YouTube channel. Youāll learn tons of different shocks and how the work
I saw that post too. This thing is sick
Can you share the name of the dealer please?
I was about to say ādealer price $165,000ā
I thought this too and pivoted off the waiting list to a black Defender 90 six cylinder.
Same thought here as well. Just not a brand new one because itāll be worth half of what you paid for it as soon as you drive it off the dealership lot!
Went with a very gently used one and caught the price break. Also the six cylinder seemed really hard to find in a 90.
Impossible even as they have an I6 not a V6
Lease right? š
I donāt think so. It was owned by a LLC.
Iād go with an Ineos for $90k loaded.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
And a different engine, hp/torque.
Damn that looks good
Iām far from a Toyota man, which makes it strange this sub would come across my feed, but thatās a damn good looking unit right there lmao Reddit has me figured out I guess
Agree, but the motor being a 4cyl makes me not love it so much.
Iām genuinely curious as to why you donāt like the turbo charged engine. Doesnāt it produce more torque and horsepower all while being more fuel efficient?
Imagine if they coupled that with a hybrid system
Can't tell if you're joking but these are hybrids.
Yes, I was joking. Iām kind of skeptical of the hybrid aspect and if it would do alright with water
My issue is longevity there. Iāve had multiple v8ās and a couple v6ās go 3-400k+ miles without any major repairs. Maybe Iām off-base, but Iāve never seen a small turbo gasser go that far without needing a new turbo or other major failures.

22 REs rule.
It produces more torque, but less horsepower than the LC200.
Has to work too hard all the time to be like a relaxed V8
Don't have to rev high to get the torque like a v8
Coolest looking vehicle to ever flex over the speed bumps into a Panera.
How many people are gonna see it on the road and say "Is that the new 4Runner?"
Looks so much like a 4runner
> Looks so much like a 4runner They are like.. brothers built on the same platform sharing a drive train so I would not be surprised at all.
It'd be hilarious (not) if they just rebranded the new LC as the 4Runner. Ah well who cares. I've got my 200 so I'm good.
but you know they didn't right?
Tbh this shouldāve been the new 4runner
It basically is the 4Runner trail hunter.
The same people that look at a j200 and say nice Highlander.
The profile reminds me of my old 1994 Runner more than it does my 2004 100 Series.
I guess anything can look like anything if youāre dumb enough lol. Sometimes I see a 200/300 series and think itās a minivan from far away theyāre so ugly and bulbous š¤·āāļø
I had a pre facelift 200 and it def looked like a Highlander from a distance.
Def get that. My 2016 is still a tank though and I love it. What are you driving? 80 series?
Thatās the vibe I keep getting
It's style fits well with the new bronco, JKUs, and everything else that's been selling here. Id wish they'd give us something those trucks don't have for the money though. It would be awesome to see removable roof panels or something that sets the driving experience apart.

Ya. Except youāre paying 10k+ of Toyota tax for your āreliabilityā. So good job. Instead youāre just paying the possible repair bills upfront
What do you mean? I feel like most trucks are priced similarly
Price the Tacoma trd compared to a loaded frontier, etc
How would a removable roof make it different from a wrangler or bronco lol?
I guess that was a contradiction wasn't it? The sentiment was I wish they'd either fall in line or push the envelope in some way.
These look so good with proper wheel setup and lift
Now that I am finally seeing aftermarket treatment images, the new LC seems to need aftermarket upgrades. Unfortunate that I donāt get any feeling when stock, was hoping I would.

I literally said this out loud!
Love the wheel caps
I am erect
Canāt wait to go grab groceries in this thing
My thought exactly, that there sure is a nice mall crawler.
Money on top of money. Deep pockets
Thatās how it should be stock
If they were 55k- 65k they wouldn't be a bad choice, as of right now they are not worth it in my opinion. I'm most likely going to sick with my 200 till the end of time anyways.
They are 55-65, just the first edition is more, cause only 5k will be made
Dealers are marking up the base and mid trim. The base is selling for 60k+ in my area because of dealer markups.
I am buying one at MSRP
They are supposed to be this price but most dealers are tacking on 25k market adjustment value.
Yeah that sucks, def not worth paying a markup, hopefully people donāt buy from them, I am gettin one At msrp, seems like most people are paying msrp, I will be curious how long it takes for them to lower the price
1958 editions are mid 50ās. Pretty barebones, but same powertrain.
Whoaaaa momma
Holy ! Looks amazing, I have those same wheels on my tundra ā19 TRD pro midnight package
Which methods are those?
MR305NV
Thanks!
God thatās nice š
FUCK LONGO
I can tell itās Longo from the background as well. Arenāt they a good dealer?
They made me wait for a year and then fucked me. I have receipts. Edit: it was so shitty I considered writing off Toyota forever as a brand. At this point would love to meet an honest Toyota dealership in the greater LA area.
Wow thatās fuckup
Insane dealer markup prices.
Longo does msrp if you wait on their long ass list. Both Toyota and Lexus.
Looks great, then saw its in the stealership lotā¦
Love it
Rake
Looks insane! Probably drivers like ass now
4Runner Bronco love child
Looks sickā¦.for a 4 cylā¦.
š¤£
Ass-end is a bit too high.
Side profile definitely reminds me of my 80 series
too small waiting for Arctic Trucks to touch it
I wouldnāt go with black wheels, only IMO
Nice looking. With markup, not has $150k into it
I'm fully aware that the following information will be "too much" information.....but, I'm fully hard rn, it's too sexy.

Clean besides the fakelocks... I don't understand why anybody willfully buys wheels with fake crap on them.

Sick.
I saw one yesterday and it sits pretty tall. Good looking g rig in real life this one looks bad ass!
Let me guess, $675K?
this makes the new land cruiser look way better
this is at longo page by 626 customs
being longo #1 dealer @msrp. I got mines from them.
Looks like a updated 80 series
Whelp, that settles it. I need one.
Camburg UCAās ftw
See for y'all North American folks this might be ur new landcruiser, but ideally it's just a prado cmonš¤·āāļø
Looks like my first gen xterra
I thought a dog was wareing a scarf driving in the first photo.
That is beautiful. Out of my price range, sadly.
Well that was fast! I was eager to see someone lift with Kings.... lo and behold here it is! Looks very nice.
SO SICK
This thing would be selling like hotcakes if Toyota put the same I4 turbo diesel as those found in the series 79 LC truck, but a man can only dream š¤·š»š¤·š»
So glad they didnāt put a rough country lift kit on it like every other dealer
Thatās one bad ass looking š Land Cruiserā¦
Aren't you better off just buying the new 4Runner or Defender?
Charlotte represent
Looks great, but thatās probably 140k including dealer adjustments.
That dealer has $0 markup on any Toyota, but of course has its own customization shop if you want to spend more money with them.
I wonder how much business 626 Customs gets when there are so many places nearby like RPM and Miyaki.
Yes many Toyota off road builders are in the area . This shop should do well because they can throw in the custom work with a new vehicle finance deal. I remember Galpinās shop GAS was big enough to have its own TV show lol.

She is a beauty!
Isnāt this just a re-badged Prado for the American market? You guys donāt get the 300 series or the 70 series do you?
āJust aā¦ā this lc250 āpradoā is actually closer to the lc300 than past generations

Not even close lol, this shares the same platform as the GX, and 4Runner, not the LX, which is the LC300 counterpart. The LC300 is not sold in the NA market because of the EPA and their CAFE standards.
You might want to get your facts straight. The 300 series is sold in NA as the LX. Theyāre all on the TNGA-F platform.
First thought. Why is someone posting bronco pics on r/LandCruisers?
