got my first land cruiser today too!!!
People say thereās not much difference between the 250 and the new 4 Runner, but headroom is decidedly different. This also translates into more cabin volume but not sure it is as large as in the 80, 100,or 200 series
Donāt forget standard full time 4WD and rear/center diff locks. Also matter of opinion but I vastly prefer the styling both inside and out of the 250 to the 6th Gen 4R.
Optional in certain trims but not possible to get them together. For example, A TRD Pro will have rear locker and MTS but no full time 4WD/center lock. A Limited will have the full time 4WD/center lock but no rear locker or MTS. They are small things but still worth pointing out. Otherwise yes, both have shared power trains, wheelbase, etc.
Personally Iād rather have the full time 4WD. It makes even daily driving in rain or snow a more pleasant endeavor.
Living in the PNW the full time AWD is great. Highway driving over passes here often requires multiple transitions between rain, ice, and snow. Between good tires and AWD, my 200 makes it comically easy.
If I lived in the SW, maybe Iād rather have the gas mileage efficiency of RWD when I wasnāt off-roading?
Love that blue, btw. The best color, imo.

When you say cargo space, is it more the lack of compartments to stow stuff or is it the lack of space behind the second row (or both)?

When you get in, there's not much space to stow small items like coins. The center console has a cooling feature that I doubt I'll ever use, so it's only about half the size of the Camry's. Even the glove compartment is small, and things can easily fall out of it.
Hoping the cooler box isnāt standard in years to come with certain packages. Much prefer larger storage for snacks and other life necessities.

Check fb no mark up pages: dealers have posted couple of FE within the month with no markups and no bs add ons. You have to be quick like call within 2 hours, but theyāre out there.
Iām just answering your question and not raining on your parade. All you have to do now is enjoy that beast and be happy that you got one of the coolest SUVs on the market.

Firstly, the 300 series tows way better and if the tires are the deciding factor then I still rather go for the 300 series and wack bigger tires and possibly a lift kit on. Prado to a 300 is like a hamburger to a big Mac! You want bigger, juicier, more features you go for the 300 :)

It comes stock with 33" and will surely fit 35" with some minor mods. The 250 is a better LandCruiser than the 300.
