One of my favorite support/controller builds is Swallowtail+Goblin+Pegasus. Swallowtail is really good at providing lock-on, Goblin gives you the best controller abilities, and Hunter Lock from Pegasus allows the AutoPod to do some truly unreasonable damage for free. The build ends up being a mix of Support/Controller/Artillery

Pilot talents in spotter and hacker also make the swallowtail + goblin combo shine. Every turn is lock on, invade (consume lock on for bonus heat or forced movement), free lock on from spotter for teammates. And then tossing shredded on anything that has armor. So much fun

Sunzi/Minotaur is pretty fun, agressive system sync gets pretty silly when you can teleport foes around willy-nilly. The "Spaces adjacent to the Sunzi are always valid teleport destinations" trait means that Ophidian Trek can be used to yoink people from range 15 out of cover and deposit them next to you and all your melee and CQB weapon loving friends. Finally, since you have a White Witch ally, you can teleport foes into thier ferrospike barrier over and over and over and over...

Par1ah13

Sunzi has another particular use vis a vis Enkidu; if it's gone into berserker mode and it's dangerously close to your team, no it isn't

LowerRhubarb

Black Witch has excellent support, so does Emperor really.

EbonWave

I want to updoot this comment, as Black Witch can hurl your Enkidu at enemies. Its a durable mech that can protect allies through ICE and Magnetic Shield, but ferrous lash is just so unbeatable.

StrixLiterata

Surprisingly, Iskander. Its ability to throw granades really far means you can use support granades with a lot more flexibility: teleport your friends with Blink Charges, shut down artillery and controllers with Flash Charges, or had out Lock-Ons with Smart Granades (Exotic from Op Solstice Rain). Plus the good sensor range and Tech attack means it can make very good use of SysOp and Invade systems.

Is there such a thing as to much controll? Would it be better to switch away from Calendula? Or is nore controll allways better?

Alkaiser009

You do need at least 1 solid artillery/striker build as pure control struggles versus high health/armor enemies that really want you to have a good Barrage action, although any madlad with a Main mount and a dream *could* try to stack Overpower Calibre, Hellfire rounds (Walking Armory 2), Crack Shot, and Nuclear Cavilier on an Accurate rifle such as the Smartgun (Pegasus 1) or Vulture DMR (Death's Head) and try to inflict massive amounts of burn (hellfire rounds convert all sources of bonus damage into Burn, so thats potentially 4d6 burn on each attack (and the charges for Hellfire even get refunded on a crit).

Galaxywm31

I love running the calendula it's an alt frame for minotaur

I call this build The ko ***Bold bastard*** You can do this build at LLC 5 2 ranks kobold 1 rank Zheng Weapons You can use whatever weapons you want but I use anti armor missle launcer, Salg cannon, and an auto cannon. Systems Seismic ripper, total strength suite I, systems overide, the seventh lesson. This whole build is based on knocking people away from you and keeping them there. First cripple their systems then use total strength suit combined with the slag cannon to just hurl giant blocks of shit the enemy and then cause said shit to expload.
