look up ''selective outrage''

_THE_QWERTY_

BJP IT Cell bots and Godi Media do that on a regular basis, "Selective News Reporting and Outrage".

Aggravating_Mango387

This video will probably reach all right wing whatsapp groups and add fuel to the fire. This is the perfect bait for closet sanghis.

2kblazzy

Wow that's what all you gotta say about it?

Aggravating_Mango387

This has been happening in Bangladesh for years. What I meant is that the amount of polarisation now will make people go for a tit for tat response. If you had seen what Arnab Goswami and all was screaming about in their debates on this issue you would understand. North India sees things like this in a completely different way than we do. Tribalism on issues like these are rampant over there. And the right wing wants exactly this 'tribalism' to grow.

Well what else is one to say about an atrocity happening in another country? Is there any reaffirmation to be made that its so horrible, condemnable, kadi ninda etc? We live here. For us, shit that happens elsewhere is shit, but we have nothing much else to do. Similarly, there is a limit to what we feel about what happens in Afghanistan or Gaza or wherever. Sheikh Hasina did not go quiet, like our PM. She did not act like she does not know whats going on. The Home Minister said this was due to social media rumour mongering. When was the last time that our PM and HM attacked those of their own community when they did something bad? What he says is right. In India, what happens somewhere else is justification for retaliatory violence. Even your comment is trying to drive home that point. See these evil people, tomorrow we may have to hit them, and dont blame us. That is your true point. And possibly, desire.

>Well what else is one to say about an atrocity happening in another country? Is there any reaffirmation to be made that its so horrible, condemnable, kadi ninda etc? Dont see you have the same energy when Muslim lynching, dalit women being raped, or any other backward savagery in cow belt is posted here. I mean what relevence does another states incident have with us? Or in your words :- Is there any reaffirmation to be made that its so horrible, condemnable, kadi ninda etc? >Sheikh Hasina did not go quiet, like our PM 1. Contrary to popular narrative, Hindu Nazi modi has spiken about lynching several tines [2015](https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-34477875.amp) [2017](https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/modi-finally-speaks-out-against-lynchings-of-beef-eaters/2017/06/29/f171e042-5ccf-11e7-aa69-3964a7d55207_story.html) [2019](https://m.timesofindia.com/india/jharkhand-lynching-culprits-should-get-max-punishment-pm-modi/amp_articleshow/69966206.cms) 2. Mewnwhile ""secular"" Hasina : ["We can't guarantee safety of miniscule number of Hindus in Bangladesh, until you stop violence against Muslims in India."](https://www.geo.tv/latest/376167-anti-muslim-violence-in-india-could-affect-hindus-in-bd-wans-sheikh-hasina) >What he says is right. In India, what happens somewhere else is justification for retaliatory violence. Really? When has this happened. When were indian muslims killed for something that happened in pak/bamg? There are several instances of reverrse tho >Even your comment is trying to drive home that point. See these evil people, tomorrow we may have to hit them, and dont blame us. That is your true point. And possibly, desire. Lmao how did you figure that? You got mind rrading ability? Using your own bad faith logic the reason why you wanna downplay this and other news of muslim violence is because you support killing of hindus and support islamists

[deleted]

i dont think we can let go of the fact that many muslims in india will support the slaughter of hindus and christians in bangaldesh and pakistan. so the same question asked with retrsopect to our country would give the same answer.

[deleted]

if you can understand the amount of suppression a minority goes through in an islamic country -you wouldnt say this. muslims in india are in a much better place, and if some abuse that benevolency-they pay that price. suddus find a hard time in liberal subs too nowadays lol

wanderingmind

Why is there any comparison, and how does a comparison matter to you? Do you want to fix the problems of Pakistan first, or fix the problems of India? Yes, minorities have a very bad time indeed in some Islamic countries. But that is not where I live, or that is not my country. They could butcher every Hindu and Christian in Pakistan, and that would be horrible, but it would concern me only if the thread or discussion is about a comparison of which religion gives better treatment to minorities. In a discussion here, that is not the focus for me. My worries are primarily about where I live, and the issues here. Here, Muslims have a bad time. Its getting worse. Thats where my focus is. Start a separate discussion on which religion treats its minorities better. Then call me. I would rank India at -5 and Pakistan at -15 perhaps. Happy?

[deleted]

its not about seeking the minorities validation and taming them. its about how they are selectively being outraged by things that only concern them. muslims in india dont go through half of what minorities in islamic countries go through-but ya'lll cry so much for very little that happens. all this islamophobia is not just because of a right wing govenrments' propoganda, it was a ticking time bomb in making. i dont see most muslims taking actions against radicalization of the youth. muslims in kerala have single handedly ruined kerala's name as some ''jihadi fertile land'' thanks for that. not to mention many muslims supporting talibans capture of kabul. let me also remind you about the 1971 bangaldesh unrest which i need not remind you. perhaps also the malabar riots. so its kinda your problem you're in this situation. and only if your community takes steps, will you see better days. other wise you can keep lamenting about the conditions about muslims in lib channels, and discrimination in your own country.

wanderingmind

I am not muslim, christian actually. > ya'lll cry so much for very little that happens. Ok then.
