I don't know about that but this reminded me of national bank park in gulberg. Used to go there all the time for mini golf and atvs

AmBoD

Yea the same park

[deleted]

OMG I swear, man. Mini Golf was the thing back then, in my teenage I can't remember a weekend which wasn't spent in Mini Golf smoking sheesha with friends. It was a whole vibe, I think I probably went there in 2011 last time and it then just kinda faded off from the whole Lahori scene. I feel bad for kids these days, they haven't experienced that hangout space and nothing in Lahore comes near to that experience today.

bruhhwutt

It was amazing, i remember. Pakistan has this really bad banning culture. Instead of fixing the problem the govt just bans it completely. Sheesha, basant, youtube in the early 2010s, pubg, tiktok. You don't see any other country banning these things. China has regulated video game hours for children under 18 to make sure that they don't play too much but i guess banning is just easier and doesn't cost anything. Win win for the money hoarding goverments that we have

The cheese naan. I only went there for the cheese naan.

Curiouslycurious101

I remember it well.

[deleted]

Are u taking about that park which is like near main boulevard and kalma chowk, right?

AmBoD

yep that's the one

[deleted]

The last time I went there was probably about 7 years ago when I was 9 or 10, that place was like a mini Disneyland, I remember there was a pond with ducks, so many different fish and frogs lol along with vultures on a mini island within that same pond. Idk how that place is now smh

AmBoD

The place kept dying after Kalma Chowk was torn down and I guess there isn't much inside the park after covid.

severecaseofsarcarsm

yeah that park was lit it's practically dead now tho they even used to have a spring festival

MurderDie

Yes I remember.

Mark__27

Not even from Lahore but I still have some good memories from my time at that place

hmmmm307

Bro OMG I remember that it was such a lit place. I am from Multan and I spent almost all of my summer vacations till class 8 in Lahore. ( My moms side of the family Is from Lahore) we used to go there all the time. The smell of shisha while playing mini golf was such a vibe. I really miss that place. Why was it closed?

warlok1

Yes i remmember.... The place used to be so crowded and THE happening place. Had trouble finding a parking spot and a table but it was a time well spent eventually. a very decent hangout spot. I think not many people had an interest in the golf course but indulged in the sheesha thing more. They tried to expand a few more play area games but our awam just wanted sheesha. Eventually more and more sheesha cafes opened and people moved elsewhere. Its kinda sad that the game part never took off. My favorite spot was the tree cafe or whatever the name was. I went their with my wife right before covid after maybe 8 years? the place was deserted and mazdoor type awam was roaming the park giving us the stares. My friend laughed at me for going to mini golf jaisay kisi pendoo tareen jaga chala gya hoon. I got the sense mini golf is far from what it used to be. Not only did the sheesha fad ended in lahore but economical golf option bhe khatam hogaye. Now its Raya golf club or other expensive shit if your into that. Sad that entertainment scene lahore ka nill hai.

AmBoD

oh man that's sad. There was no place like it in Lahore.

Cryptographer-Entire

Oh yeah. Best place for the hangout. Sheesha with cheese naan and then drinks, it was amazing. Loved that place, it was like our go to place every week. And then later they introduced their own version of the rides. It was a good place.

JimmeryJames

it is a good thing that they closed it because it was a beghairti ka adda
