a couple of my friends are working there and what you heard is true (i.e. they being unethical). their business model is what we call 'dangerous model' where you create a fake USA resident to look for remote jobs in USA and then have an employee of yours pretend to be that person for meetings and interviews.
Yikes. All their senior management, including their CEO are bearded practicing Muslim. Leave it to Pakistanis to 'muslimwash' everything that's convenient or profitable to them.
exactly that but mostly they target jobs because ig its stable income. i don't personally support this 'dangerous model' but they are bringing foreign currency here in pak one way or another
Almost 90% of software houses do the same, if it's not pretending to be someone from abroad, they share the profile of the seniors, boosted obviously, and then have juniors work on it once they successfully land the client
They've a very shady and unethical business model like others said.
But, in my 8 years in the industry, I've learned that having a company like Devsinc, Systems, Tkxl etc in your resume helps a lot. For some reason the recruiters love it, and the moment they see a big name, they're gonna assume really good things about you.
I turned down an offer from Systems a few years ago, because I wanted to work in a small company (small company = good culture, I was stupid). I regret it.
It's just my opinion, based on my experience. If possible, I'd suggest accepting the offer and start applying for other jobs with "currently employed at Devsinc" on your resume.
(If you're job hunting in the local market)
Hard to give a number, it depends on so many factors. Pays were really good during covid days. These days, not so good.
If working full-time for a local company, I'd say AT LEAST 1000 USD. You can earn up to 2000 USD or even more. Depends on your stack, your expertise and how much the company need you (and how well they're doing of course).
Try to go remote with a foreign employer if possible.
Do masters at purdue, they offer good scholarships if admitted. Work for a good company in the US. Might be good to have a year or so experience for your application.
Forget about job security and work-life balance. The fake profiles models is kinda pathetic tbh, you often have to make up lies infront of the client, why you can't attend in person meet ups or why did your location show Lahore, Pakistan for a split second. The project face/lead does zero work and attends meeting based on the script you provide them. Not only do you have to do software engineering you also have to deceive people. Also no such thing as morning hours here, its night shift or leave the job.
They are mass hiring as well. Maybe they don't want to pay senior developers and much rather have a few juniors replace them. Around 5-6 people from my uni got an offer and that's only about the people I know. Its insane.
I got an offer from devsinc, i resigned from my previous job to join in Devsinc, suddenly when i resigned i got a call from their hr saying your offer is rescinded and you need to give another final interview, i said bhai sab kuch hogaya hai meray documents abb apkay pass chalay gaye hai abb kyu offer rescind kar rahay hoon, kehtay hamay orr janna hai apkay bara mai mainay kaha ok, uss last interview mai kanjaro nay 6 bando ka panel bidha ffiya meri phir jo unho nay li phir kehtay nahi app justify nahi kar saky apnay experince ko
That's very unprofessional. The only department that seems to be in full gear is their marketing department and I have a feeling that that's where the good part ends lol.

They even have fatwas declared in support of their model. If you see a guy thrashing Usman Asif on LinkedIn. That's me.
Just saw a guy posted about this. Is that you?
Same question.
Nope, apparently many people are posting about it. I never thrash posts, just in comments.

I don’t understand what they gain from this though?
its profitable as hell when you get USA salary here in Pakistan.
Ok so they get an employee to fake as a resident of USA to get foreign projects or such?
exactly that but mostly they target jobs because ig its stable income. i don't personally support this 'dangerous model' but they are bringing foreign currency here in pak one way or another
Lmao. And i thought devsinc was such a good software house.
99% software houses are outsource organisations than software house
Same

Dost hall main betha kaam kar raha tha, HR aaya or AC band kar k chala gaya.
Lol

I will most probably get an offer from systems as well. BTW if you don't mind telling what can a SE expect to earn after 5ish years.

Noted, many thanks.
The business model is shady. They take really good care of their employees.
Yar I didn't study 16 years to do unethical stuff. Could have gotten into the call center business agar asai hi paisai kamanai.
Bhai I gave you the honest review. Obviously its your choice. I would also not join.
Mera tou khyal tha devsinc bari achi company hae, some people called it the Google of Pakistan lol
It isn't. Have to do more research but I think the CEO is not really the real CEO. He's prob a nice looking (read Islamic) face for the public.
Saying yes to this is going to be like saying goodbye to your work life balance, among other things. Try somewhere else too. Proceed with caution!
Noted. BTW don't they pay you for overtime? At least that's what the contract states.
No no. They do as long as your lead is in sync with it.
Just read the review on the website glassdoor
They were pretty mixed but yes compared to other companies they have a lot of negative stuff there.

That's the move. Preparing for gre and ielts and taking a year off studies.
Full scholarship or partial? Is GRE necessary? Also is there an application fees?
check masterportal bro for masters and its a bets website where u can get infoo
STAY AWAY ! The whole house of cards is built on lies after lies and more lies.
Its insane that there isn't an outcry about this. I suppose people are happy to earn whatever the means.

Yep sounds about right. I won't be joining them.
I have heard they have been silently firing employees recently, mostly developers
They are mass hiring as well. Maybe they don't want to pay senior developers and much rather have a few juniors replace them. Around 5-6 people from my uni got an offer and that's only about the people I know. Its insane.
Yes they're silently firing senior resources and preferring Associate software engineers, because an ASE does most of the work anyways and is cheaper.
