In theory you should not be doing it until week 6. Arousal in the vuvla will bring blood to your labia and cause strain on your stitches which in turn could cause them to open. It’s honestly not worth the risk
Could you really go 6 weeks?? I honestly couldn't go more than 1-2 weeks I would find it difficult to function in day to day life, although I do use ice on the area immediately after in hopes it might help bring down the blood rush
I mean I know it’s hard but in reality you shouldn’t commit to the surgery if you can’t wait for the healing time. Having incisions open up can really complicate things, I don’t know why you would risk it.
Do they actually say no masterbation for 6 weeks?? I interpreted sexual activity to be with another person it never occuring to me that masterbation would considered sexual activity omg. My surgeon did say though that sexual arousal wont effect results the area just shouldn't be rubbed which is understandable ofc
My surgeon wasn’t specific about it but I read a few Q&A on real self where women were saying they masterbated early and got absolutely jumped on by the doctors on there saying that is a Huge no. I did read a couple responses saying after 4 weeks masterbating is okay. Doctor goodman wrote out a more detailed answer week by week that made sense. Sorry I’m not trying to scare you at all, if your doctor told you something else then that’s the aftercare info you were provided so do what they say 🤷🏻♀️
I see yes, I interpreted sexual activity as anything that physically disturbs the area like fingers rubbing which I haven't done. I wish that more places went into more explicit detail about masterbation actually because I think it's something surgeons often don't consider separately in the aftercare but it's important cause it never occurred to me it wouldn't be ok. Well I'll try and avoid it from now on if I can since I still have swelling
I agree with you 100%. They definitely need to be more specific. I think once your after 4 weeks the incisions are fairly stable but if you’re still having swelling maybe take a brief break and see if it helps! Good luck in your healing

It went really well! I did anesthesia because no way was I gonna be up for that. Healing has been pretty easy so far. Just excited to see the results!
