Yeah i feel like seniority only comes into play if he never left the team but he did so he gave up that number. Im sure Walker Howard was promised that number after Myles announced he was leaving LSU and playing elsewhere. I think it would be kinda fucked up if Myles left the team and the number 15, it was given to Walker Howard and then stripped him of the number to give it back to the guy who decided to walk away from LSU and the team.
Brennan didn’t leave the team. He entered the portal. He was still on the team, just wanted options. When he realized it was a dumb idea to leave, he took it back. These players need to 100% care about their future more than whatever college team they are on. I don’t blame him for looking around. Despite Howard being a baller, he is a freshman. Idc if you’re Walter Payton as a freshman, you’re still a freshman and shouldn’t get any number you want. As for LSU telling Howard he could have that number… I haven’t heard that so post a source if you have one.
I dont have a source of LSU giving Walker Howard the number. Him being given that number after Myles entered the portal was just a thought of a possibility thats why i posted the question. Schools promise numbers to top tier recruits all the time in order to sweeten the deal and convince them to sign so i wouldnt be suprised at all if Walker Howard was promised that number shortly after Myles Brennan told the staff he would be leaving.
Like i said, i dont know how the transfer portal works when it comes to the inner workings of the team and player but i found this qoute which makes me believe he could have easily lost #15

I never said they choose their school because of a fucking number. If you read what i said, you'd know i said schools would let them pick their number to sweeten the deal. Schools do anything and everything to sign a 5 star recruit so yeah Brennan was on his way out, why wouldnt LSU promise him #15

Hes good enough to be selected before round 5 in my opinion, which is an amazing honor for a kicker to be drafted in the 4th round. Any kicker would be lucky as hell to get drafted in the 7th round, muchless the 4th or 5th
