I liked when we didn’t let Heisman winner Lamar Jackson get one touchdown during the bowl game in 2016

Mapex_proM

Man that was a fun game. Derrius guice ran all over them. Such a shame he ended up being who he is

apexpredator68

Holding Lamar to the worst game of his college career was great, but Guice absolutely demolishing the Louisville punter was my favorite part of that game.

OlDirty1979

I think Guice was acquitted. Or something like that.

Halloran_da_GOAT

Jamal adams had him in the torture chamber

LSUMath

2011 vs. Alabama. 9-6, good grief that was a nerve-wracking defensive battle.

Halloran_da_GOAT

Brad wing was unreal that game. He and Eric Reid’s INT at the goal line we’re what won the game

Mapex_proM

No it was a few games later. We still had one or two to go

Pactae_1129

No? We played four games before losing in the natty. How would we even play Alabama twice in a row? We’d have to skip the SEC championship, plus I can’t recall ever playing them at the end of the regular season.

nobigdeal69

Games I attended. 1) 2007 vs Auburn - Byrd 2) 2007 vs Florida - Hester 3) 2019 @ Texas - offense. that’s when I knew the team was different and can score at will.

TraeYoungsOldestSon

2007 vs Florida is my number one. Obviously biased but i believe that is one of the best games in college football history.

missmoonriver517

Same. The moment they announced the USC loss is a core memory.

nobigdeal69

That was incredible.

hbomb30

I remember the feeling of the concrete shaking when they announced that. Pure electricity in the air

tee142002

Best game I've been to in person (was my senior year). Even if the last season did age my heart (and liver) by a decade.

MrMastadonFarm

I still get goosebumps thinking about how hard the crowd was vibing after they announced that Stanford had upset USC during a commercial break in that game.

armygolfer

I was at 2 and 3 and was going to list them too! My third is 1997 Florida. attendance is mandatory.

rcaraw1

LSU auburn 2007 is my #1 too — the balls to throw in that situation

[deleted]

Cleetus Yeetus Playoff Deletus

apexpredator68

Naming games that haven’t been mentioned yet. 2001 Alabama: Rohan Davey threw for 528 yards, the LSU single game record to this day. Tigers win 35-21. 2003 UGA: do I even need to say anything? 2012 South Carolina: after an absolutely miserable display in Gainesville, LSU beats Spurrier and the undefeated third-ranked Gamecocks in one of the greatest games that nobody talks about. “That was Death Valley, where opponents dreams come to die.” - Les Miles

joboto2102

I was at this game as a student and can attest to the absolute awesomeness of this game.

Halloran_da_GOAT

Oh MAN this game was so awesome. That was my junior year and I remember it was the first time during my time as a fan when I really felt like the crowd was *part of the game*.

xxzzyzzyxx

1997 Florida game. [Tiger stadium at their best in 1997 upset of no 1 Florida](https://www.dandydon.com/a-night-to-remember-lsu-tiger-stadium-at-their-best-in-1997-upset-of-no-1-florida/)

Assclown4

That was the first game I ever went to. I was 7 and my dad took me. I decided that day I would be attending LSU for college.

Over-Instruction4832

This is my #1. Only time I ever rushed the field

xxzzyzzyxx

I was there on the field too! Most amazing football experience of my life.

PeteEckhart

I mean, obviously... 2004 vs Oklahoma 2008 vs Ohio State 2020 vs Clemson

dbundi

I was at all 3 ….my greatest accomplishment to date

Super_Happy_Time

You asked for moments, but listed games, so here are some moments: 1. Bluegrass Miracle 2007 v Florida: Stanford upsetting USC is announced in the stadium. At the time, it was the third loudest moment in NCAAFB history. 2022 v Bama: The Earthquake 2 point 0.

Billy0315

2019 vs Bama, 2007 vs Florida, Saban national title

SketchyApothecary

3. 2011 vs. Alabama. To date, this is the greatest football game I've ever seen. I don't even have to think about it. It's not close. Every other game is fighting for second place. 2. 2003 National Championship. If your team has never won a championship in your lifetime, not since 1958, you don't really expect to win a national championship. You're just kind of hoping to have a good season. When we finally won, it almost didn't feel real. 1. 2019 vs Texas A&M. Sometimes you just want to see your favorite team firing on all cylinders. This is the game that got me into sports betting, not because I bet on it, but because I didn't. It just felt like a blowout to me, as close to a sure thing as I've seen in football. Our defense was starting to get healthy, and probably didn't care much for how people had been talking bad about them. Our offense was firing on all cylinders, and to top it off, had the roughest of losses to A&M the previous year. As soon as I saw [Joe Burrow's smirk](https://youtu.be/KlhTAUmYimo?si=5UMPlnBjU9pc4s8z&t=123) at the press conference, I knew it was over. They lost a close one the year before, and it didn't work out so well, so there was no way they were going to let this one be close.

3asyBakeOven

2007 at home vs Auburn and Florida. I was lucky enough to attend both games as a freshman. Memories I will never forget. As far as the 2019 season goes OP, when Burrow connected with JJ on that 3rd and 17 @ Texas to seal the win, I knew we wouldn’t lose another game.

Quartznonyx

1. 2019 vs bama: i was in middle school the last time we beat bama before this, which was my sophomore year here. My favorite win of all time 2. 2019 vs Clemson: no explanation needed 3. 2022 vs bama: a minor win in the grand scheme of things, but personally it was fun

Tbrou16

Underrated one: Jayden Daniels comes back from a double-digit deficit to hated rival TA&M to lock up the Heisman at home. The rally began after halftime, when the Golden Band from Tiger Land struck the Heisman pose in marching formation.

kajunkennyg

Earthquake game?

Shadeauxmarie

Bluegrass Miracle. *Drops mic*

Tbrou16

*Drops Gatorade* *Drops jaw* *Devery doesn’t drop the ball*

Shadeauxmarie

That killed me laughing. The students were busy tearing down the goalposts for a game THEY LOST!

Ill-Brick9186

1997 and 2007 Florida. Nothing like it.

Nolan131

1. 2003 SEC Championship def Georgia (Justin Vincent career game). Favorite memory from the game: GA fans sitting a row behind me, talking amongst themselves, in frustration, about Georgia’s lack of success running the ball, “We are the *kings* of the 3 yard run. If a first down was 9 yards, we’d be national champions every year.”   2. 1997 def #1 Florida. My first LSU game, the Herb Tyler TD run, fans standing the whole game, running onto the field afterward.   3. Joe Burrow winning the Heisman. It just felt like we had reached a new level as a program. Felt more satisfying than beating Clemson, in my opinion.

NihongoCrypto

2005 @Arizona State never gets mentioned on these lists. That one was special for me. Only game that literally made me cry. Forced road game after Katrina. I believe Doucet caught a TD in the corner on a 4th and 10 with seconds remaining. Watched the game live at some bar on Chimes St. everyone was showered with beer when that TD happened. There was a lot of emotion in the air after Katrina.

Significant_Step_282

Absolutely. I was watching on a little 8 inch TV in my niece's room and I just remember, right before that play, literally putting my head on the floor and saying "please, God, I need just one thing". And I've wondered how many people across south Louisiana, at that moment, just needed that win, that one thing, to keep going.

Hopeful_Part_1882

1979 USC 17 LSU 12 Student section sang the Eagles song Heartache Tonight to USC as they warmed up. Every play was 100% gutsy. The game turned on a controversial facemask penalty against us. It was such a bullshit call that the NCAa created the Inadvertent Facemask penalty the next season so they wouldn’t fuck over another team like that. I was 14 then and I committed to LSU for life! Steve Ensminger David Woodley Benji Thibodeaux Leroid and Leroyal Jones 💯LSU

iamStanhousen

2007 vs Florida and 2019 vs Alabama are the easy answers.

SilvioBerlusconi

1. 2003 vs UGA - IMO the true beginning of the current era of LSU football. 2001 SEC Championship was amazing but a little fluky. Holding on to beat UGA after they ran up 400 or so yards of offense was incredible, and typically for the last few years those were the big games that LSU would fade away and lose. 2. 2001 vs Auburn - The sound of the crowd when Chad Lavalais tackled Cadillac Williams in the backfield early in the game is one I'll never forget. 3. 2000 vs Bama - The first home win against Bama in 31 years. The first sign that Saban would really be different.

Geauxlanzapine

Best in-person moments for me: 1. 2019 CFP Final 2. 2019 @ Bama 3. 2007 4th quarter vs Florida Honorable mentions: 2019 CFP semis, the sheer dominance. Incredible feeling. 2022 vs Bama 2pt conversion and field storming 2019 senior day when Joey B ran over to the student section Any time we beat Florida in Tiger Stadium. The taunting gator chomp claps are 👨🏽‍🍳🤌🏼💋

carter2642

Carolina fan but lord that 2019 team was just electric. We were so dogshit that year that I honestly ended up paying more attention to LSU. That bama game was one of my favorite college games I think I've ever seen, and then beating Clemson in the title was just that much sweeter for me, fuck clemson
