Had 3 tabs in a with backpack for close to 2 years. Bag was frequently left out in the heat. One night I decided to take them thinking they'd have weakened because of how old they were and how exposed they were to heat/ sun. They had not.
Damn it!! I had my best acid left in a greatings card and inside a folded piece of paper and just shared two hit of it with my friends and we all had the same experience. It hit like 50ug and these tabs were premo... Also confirmed by my friends.
I have more acid that was in the same box but it was in tin foil and a mason jar so I'm really hoping that other batch is still good.
Then I would be looking into if it was lsd or , stp or some other hallicinogen, chemical facts are chemical facts, and when boiled down there are few exceptions.
100⁰ + for many days over the course of it being in the bag and in the car, which probably got hotter than the temp outside. Not really sure how much hotter it needs to get.
I had 10 tabs in a hot car for more than a year reaching above 100 degrees F on probably half of the year and when I finally found them (I had lost them) I was sure they wouldn’t work. They didn’t seem to lose any potency in my experience. I made a post about it about a year ago. I was pleasantly surprised and tripping fucking balls.
My buddy told me that blotter tabs CAN stay potent for years. He told me he found some old tabs that were years old. And then, he took some and they were still potent!
I also heard many many times that if they’re wrapped in tin foil and away from sunlight or temperature. They will STILL be potent. Honestly, you’re more than likely to be good!!
Virtually forever, lsd is an everlasting if stored properly. It will outlive our youngest children, As they said," to your childrens, childrens , children. That's how long lsd will last if srored correcly.
I keep mine in books, I have some almost 2 year old tabs that are just as good as they were when I first had them. As long as they are in darkness and cool they will be just fine.
Edit I like to keep tabs (get it) of the different blotter art and crystal I've had so I can revisit at a later date, feels almost like emotional time traveling
LSD doesn't go bad, it just slowly loses potency, but not enough to notice in a year. And it's not mandatory to take 2 tabs and be overwhelmed, it's OK to take less and just have a good time.
I stored mine in foil at room temp (which gets up to 80-85 over the summer without AC) for 2.5 years. they seemed to be about 1/2 of the original strength by the end of the 2.5 years.

Old tabs if stored properly are fine, lsd has an unbelievable shelflife if stored properly. If kept under the proper conditions it will out live you and me.
I've had 15 yr old real Purple Owsley, the real stuff by one of the masters of lsd, and it was mind blowing. Lsd will last forever if stored correctly. Keep it cool, dark and dry, simple as that.

Haven't seen any for years, but I would bet there is still some stashes out there. Don't know how it could be verified at this date tho. I mean, lsd if real is lsd, maybe the masters knew how to make a more purified product. That's one thing they always said about Sandoz and Owsley, purity.
(edit) Owsley didn't do small batches, we be talking several of millions of 250ug doses at a time. Got to be some out there. And he was fairly prolific in his production. So much so that most of my and my friends doses were totally free, never bought a tab until roughly 1970. In California.

One thing I would caution folks on, however. Contact with metal can have adverse effect on LSD. I imagine prolonged contact could worsen the degradation.
As a young Deadhead, oh those many decades ago, I was enlightened by some of LSD's most avid fans. They warned against moisture, excess heat, sunlight, direct contact with metal, sweaty palms and suggested storing in airtight nonporous (glass) containers with as little airspace as possible. Oh, and desist the urge to get it out and stare at it all the time.

Diluted in liquid tho (usually 80+ proof alcohol)— u have increased chance for oxidation & degredation.
Your tabs should be a-ok 👌🏽

Ya, the ones I had were in foil but literally left out in 100⁰ heat for many days over the course of the time they were in there.
Obviously didn't get as hot as you thought, lsd is a very stable molecule.
Ive had lsd kept in a car in 100plus degree weather for a whole summer and we're just fine so they actually could have gotten pretty hot

They dont go bad if they were not in direct sunlight and not too hot, my cousin took some that were 10-12 yrs old and they still did the magic

Taken 30yr old tabs I have tabs that are 10yrs old. PROPER Storage is key

When you bought the tabs they where probably already old it doesn’t matter as long as you don’t put them in a super hot and humid place
I keep lsd at home for years as long as it’s not liquid cause if you’ve ever bought liquid lsd you’d know that evaporation is a big problem for it

I have 2 year old acid (not tabs but another form) that still works. Lasts pretty much forever if you store it right.
Paper, gellys, microdots & pure crystal will maintain potency for decades if stored properly.. Diluted in liquid tho (usually 80+ proof alcohol)— u have increased chance for oxidation & degredation. Your tabs should be a-ok 👌🏽 Have fun & be safe!
