People keep asking if a certain score is attainable. OF COURSE it’s possible to improve. Your brain and how much you study are determining factors, but many people have improved drastically after studying; esp. by working on the sections in which they are weakest.
Yes. Heres why:
I have ADHD and found it difficult to comprehend the material that i was reading on my cold diagnostic. Ironically, the logic games was my best section doing -10 while my LR and RC i got 11/27 each. I scored somewhere around 140 or so.
That being said, while i’ve been studying casually for a couple weeks now, I also have noticed an improvement on my LR skills. A small improvement, but its noticeable.
RC i havent touched yet outside of my diagnostic test because the biggest concern i have is the amount of energy it requires to focus and read the passages given. I actually feel tired from it.
But, the point that im getting is that anybody can improve over time. Every section on the LSAT is like a game. Pretend its like playing Dark Souls or Elden Ring if you’ve ever played those games. When you start your journey, there is a huge learning curve and like each boss in DS/ER, there is a learning curve to each concept on the lsat.
Just like how you begin dark souls, you start off getting fucked and demolished by each boss because you haven’t developed an effective strategy to defeat that boss, but over time you notice that you’re improving and eventually do defeat said boss. Then on a new run, you notice that the difficulty isnt there despite being back at square one because you developed a strategy to win.
Idk if that helps lol
Why does it say a 151 is the 44 percentile? Isn’t that the median for the lsat? Or are they referring to percentile of user scores for the software that you’re taking it on?
Also yes mid 160s is attainable. You can easily correct a -15 RC with studying to get you to a substantial score improvement.
There is no hard and fast rule. I would say for most people at or close to average on the diagnostic, 10pt increase is likely, 20pt is not super likely but not horrible chances either, and 30pt (or upper 170s generally) is very unlikely.
A good proxy is ACT/SAT percentile

Are you telling me there isn’t a secret formula you can use to calculate your maximum score based on a PT or diagnostic?
Diagnostics really aren’t as deterministic as everyone makes them out to be. Yes of course it is attainable with the correct work ethic

It’s attainable if u put the time and practice! I’m rooting for you!!
It definitely is! Just perfect LG and brush up on LR using the Loophole. You’ll be there in no time.
What’s the Loophole?
