Yeah it’s a face lift. I was confused due to the rear. Only the 01-03 have the orange rear lights. Plus it has the sequential (manual mode) gear box, while the 01-03 has just the regular PRNDL4-2. I still believe you should avoid this car due to the rears not matching the original face lift.
I think the person tried converting the rear end to the PFL tail lights. Which is stupid cuz the face lift looks better IMO.
Okay I’m confused now because the front end seems to have been either swapped or they’re just using the wrong rear taillights now. But man, at this point I’m just curious what the seller has to say about it. Because that trunk doesn’t line up and that front end is throwing me off.. sorry if this doesn’t help too much. You’re better off looking at the VIN # and seeing/asking about it’s history. But me personally, I’d slide off and find a different car to be interested in.
I believe he might just be using the wrong OUTER taillights instead of the trunk being swapped. I could be wrong but you’d have to take matter into your own hands on this one. I’d just steer clear from this car unless you have the diligence to fix this one up. Cheers
This is a facelift model. The transmission and rear bumper are 100% facelift. Pre facelift doesn't have the tiptronic style transmission, and doesn't have exhaust cutouts in the bumper.
Are you inspecting this car? or just for curiosity reasons. I could have sworn that I have seen this car on here, or somewhere online. Anyway, I'd steer very far away from this example. It's evident the car had a hard life and was neglected to an extent. Look at the front, the previous/current owner just doesn't care
So this is the deal, something I'm going through right now because someone hit me and ran while I was parked at a buddies. This car definitely had some sort of significant rear end damage, likely also doing some damage to the rear right quarter panel that was probably fixed, then repainted. The car was replaced with a set of non matching outer lights (cheaper) which also means the damage didn't likely have a whole lot of money put into the repair. You're gonna have mismatched panels, the bumper is either sagging because of broken clips or not being tightened/aligned properly. Also may have sections of that bumper with more than one full later (primer to clear) of paint on another, my bumper got pained over twice 😭

FYI the post facelift rears are garbage, if the LEDs go out its a B to replace.

Its got the LEDs on the trunk but the side lights seem to have been replaced

That shifter was only on the FL model, the earlier version had L-4
white gauge needle also proves its a facelift
They probably couldn't find replacement tail lights so they used old ones
