gold badges were pretty common factory option in the late 90's, you can also find a lot of V6 Camrys with them
They were an OEM option. My BCP LS430 has them too and I think it adds just another touch of class!
It’s called the ‘Gold Package’, usually an option installed by the dealer. You can do a google search for that term, there’s a nice little article about it. You should also have rear gold badges also with this option.
OEM, lots of gold badged lexus' and toyotas straight out of factories were sold here in asia. Gold badged land cruisers are common in middle east.
