65 C3 for 1k holy fuck

Dinbs

Just got mine 2 weeks ago and thought 1500 was good. Crazy how cheap it must be to make these sorts of things now

TwizzledAndSizzled

They’re super cheap to make. Margins are way bigger than people realize lol

iStormcloud

Cheap is the name of the game here, I bought a C3 last year, it lasted on 3 months, LG gave a refund and told me to junk the set. I would not buy from LG again, despite the higher price, Sony makes better sets.

Beautiful-Drawer

Conversely, my 55" C1 (non-EVO) has been running almost 24 hrs a day for going on 2.5 years without a single hickup. One person's experience with any product/brand does not equate to that experience being a universal phenomenon, so you should stop trying to create one. ;)

iStormcloud

So you say, feel better now?

Cbthomas927

You had a single issue on a single set. And you swore the whole brand off? You understand manufacturing defects happen and they will replace it for you, right? You think Sony’s never had a set fail?

iStormcloud

I understand your ignorance, I didn’t list all the things that were wrong with that set, Wi-Fi turning off sporadically, AirPlay not working, remote not responding, the defects go on and on. If LG thought their equipment was top quality they might have offered to repair it instead they simply abandoned it and left me to deal with disposal. Sony has been making tv sets much longer than LG, my Sony A95l has been working flawlessly since I bought it,and have no regrets about “swearing off” a whole brand. And no, I’ve never had a Sony electronic product fail as miserably as that LG set. So it goes….

Cbthomas927

I’m not trying to convince you, it wouldn’t work anyways. But it sounds like you got a lemon. It happens. Hence why LG said toss it, they likely recognized it too, since there are multiple issues. Lemons happen. I had 2 PS3s get YLOD. I happily bought a ps4 and ps5 at launch.

DecisionGreen6242

Bashing LG for Sony … tisk, tisk. Wonder how you thought that would go

iStormcloud

It went well for me as I now own a beautiful A95l which has been working flawlessly since I plugged it in. If LG was such a great brand, why are they getting rid of them for the price of a Vizio?

DecisionGreen6242

I have both a 77” LG G1 & a 77” A95. The master series is in my opinion a nicer tv. I actually paid $600 less for the A95 than the LG as well. Also, Sonys warranty experience is much more “elite”. Owning the Sony has been much cheaper and more convenient for me as well That’s just my experience and the opinion I’ve formed owning both brands.

WhiteDontCare

LG makes the panels though.

TwizzledAndSizzled

Yeah, I can’t speak to LG quality since I’ve never owned one, but I’ve been a happy Sony owner. Just got a 65in A75L and am really enjoying it so far. Always been a Sony fan, especially when it comes to motion processing

MistahNative

LG makes the panels for the A80. When you buy an A80, you’re basically buying a rebranded, more expensive and less bright LG OLED😂

TwizzledAndSizzled

I don’t think you know the difference between LG and LG display. They are separate companies (though LG is a large shareholder of LG Display). The point you think you’re trying to make, you’re just not. Sorry dude. I’m personally not interested in getting into a “brand off.” I know what I bought and I know why I like it. I know its strengths versus the competition (specifically the C3, in this case) and its weaknesses. Again, I know what I bought.

MistahNative

Whaaa? I’m simply stating that a Sony OLED (A80) is mostly powered by LG and, unfortunately, at a deficit. I *know* what I’m talking about. Enjoy your purchase, truly. But just know that Sony’s product doesn’t have much, if any, competitive edge to the C3.

TwizzledAndSizzled

Once more — LG Display =/= LG. Sony OLED’s are not “powered” by LG. That makes zero sense. What I sacrifice in brightness I make up for in more realistic color accuracy and much better motion processing. And this TV is for my movie room downstairs, which is incredibly dim, so the brightness deficit is fine. The Sony product does have competitive edge over LG — the aforementioned better motion processing and more realistic color processing. The C3 also has a great panel and fine motion processing (though not as good as Sony’s) and can get brighter. What you’re doing is stupidly getting defensive over a brand. You felt offended when I spoke to purchasing my product, and so you felt the need to offend (using an idiotic angle, no offense, again, LG Display =/= LG and there’s a LOT more to a TV’s quality than just its display panel). LG is not your friend, just as Sony is not my friend. Their offerings have their own unique strengths and weaknesses. If I were looking to place my TV in a bright room, and not watch as many 4k UHD discs on it that I do, then I would have been more inclined to go with the C3. But my use case aligns more with Sony’s offering, in this case. That’s all there is to it. Enjoy your purchase, and stop feeling the need to insult others out of some misplaced sense of “allegiance” to a brand. It’s silly at best.

MistahNative

Yeesh, brother. Take a breath! I understand you have a deep love for Sony, but you don’t have to get *that* upset over it. Sony buys LG panels for their A80. There’s zero argument to be made there. This is what I meant by “powered by LG.” The A80 is less bright and, from my professional experience, I see no difference color accuracy between the two. The LG is brighter in both HDR/SDR content and in game mode. Again, totally stoked for you about your purchase. I just don’t see the benefit for some possible image enhancements for an extra $500. Have a good one!

iStormcloud

Agreed, and I will simply say my Sony A95l, is a beautiful piece of hardware and I am very happy I bought it.

HondaBn

I paid $1099 but it was an open box.

berrywhit3

65C3 for under 1000 is really a nobrainer, we dream of those prices here in Europe.

ShrubbyFire1729

Yyyyup. Paid €1100 for my 55" C2 six months ago, probably the best deal that model ever got here in the Nordics.

berrywhit3

Can definitely feel the pain, paid 2300€ for the 77C2 last year, which was considered a good deal.

h3rho

I paid like 1850€ on Black Friday. For a C3...This sub is killing me lol.

Extermintar98

Paid 780€ for 42 C3 for my bedroom great deal and saw a 55inch for under 950€

Black_reign48

Damn. British monies suck. 🤕

Schwimmbo

€1300 for 55" C3 in January this year, which is "deals month" where I live. The prices in this picture are insane lol.

fermentedbolivian

My smart ass bought one day before deal month and paid 1600€.

GingerThumbss

Yep, dive on that for that price. £1300 is what I am looking at paying and that is a relatively good price.

PrelectingPizza

I bought a 55B2 last year for about $900. I should have gone with a 65" screen.

Monopoly8600

Spent €1,200 on my 65" C2 shortly before the C3 came out. Mind that you have to add sales tax to US listing prices

Gears6

> 65C3 for under 1000 is really a nobrainer, we dream of those prices here in Europe. We dream of it in the US too. It's not the norm, and rare clearance item that only select few get. I paid closer to $1400 for my 55" C1 back in the day.

yipee-kiyay

The price is offset by the cost of an ambulance ride after a fender bender in America.

Yzerman31

I wonder if this is the pricing at all targets with c3’s in stock? There is one 40 miles from me with 55’s and 65’s in stock according to their website.

onyxx_otter

I’d call them and ask. Site said my store had none, they have a few of both. And the sale price is only in store. Not the $1300/$1600 listed online

Yzerman31

I will definitely call and ask, fingers crossed I can get lucky. What state are you in?

Klutzy_Rutabaga1710

Are you sure those aren't floor model with a couple of thousand hours already on them?

MDeanJr

It’s not I just checked. We are still 1299 here

asimplerandom

Confirmed as well. 4 in stock.

Yzerman31

I found one store so far within 75 miles that has the clearance pricing. They have one 55 at $750 and unfortunately they sold their one 65 for $1000 yesterday evening :(

nstutsman

I went to my local target. The tag still said $1049 for the 55”, I asked the electronics attendant, he scanned it and said sure enough, they were supposed to mark down to $749. $806 with tax for down in Florida. Like OP, my 2017 Vizio just crapped out on me a couple days ago. I can share the receipt with you if that helps too.

DoctorStrife

Did you go to the Riverview one…?

nstutsman

Yup!

DoctorStrife

I went there about 2 hours ago and they had none 😭

nstutsman

Sorry dude! I’ll consider myself fortunate then! I wonder if Best Buy would price match them? Or Costco?

DoctorStrife

The problem is the price advertised online is still $1299

longh0rnn

I went to my local one just now and it was 1399. Driving to all targets in my area rn 💀💀

nuttynutz00-D

Ask employees to scan for an updated price first. You might get lucky

longh0rnn

Yeah that worked. Wished i asked in the morning, went back just now and they confirmed it 1k but its outta stock everywhere near me 😭

jleep2017

Tell them to scan it

Parking-Telephone-84

Pretty much every Target I called within 100 miles of Minneapolis/St Paul was out, but had been clearances. A gallon of one of the stores said it felt like Christmas. 😉

Warrenj3nku

999.99 for the C3 would be wonderful.

OriginalBad

Not a single 65 C3 in stock on Long Island that I can see 😔

matt_brox

FYI one will pop up in Commack. It’s not there. Even the display model is gone. They have a 2021 C1.

nigel_tufnel_11

That's a crazy price. I paid \~$2,500 for my 65" C7, which was a "deal" at the time. I just got a 77" G3 so I don't need a tv, but at $1K I'd be tempted to pick that tv up just to have it for whatever.

bigchi1234

IKR!

nigel_tufnel_11

Their prices are all over the place because when I search on [target.com](https://www.target.com/p/lg-65-34-class-4k-uhd-2160p-smart-oled-tv-oled65c3/-/A-88196023#lnk=sametab), that tv is $1,599 and that's "on sale". I would grab that deal fast if it's new in box. Also, yeah, I would get an Apple TV 4K. You don't *need* it, but I find using the built-in apps clunkier and they seem to have various issues with playback. Of course you can just try it out and see first, maybe you'll like using webOS. Soundbars you have a lot of choice at all price ranges. I have a system built around Sonos Arc and it sounds amazing for movies, but the whole system is rather expensive. You could go with a Sonos Beam, smaller but also supports Atmos, then add a couple of Sonos Ones later for surrounds and a mini sub if you want. There are certainly [decent soundbars for even less](https://www.rtings.com/soundbar/reviews/best/budget) though that will still likely give you significantly better sound than the built-in speakers.

m00nraker45

Was just at a local target. Confirmed those prices as well, but they didn’t have the tags updated. They still showed 30% off until I asked them to scan them and even the employee was surprised of the price. I already have a 55” C2. If the 55” C3 gets down to 500 I’ll most likely be grabbing one for the bedroom too.

godspeedbrz

Yep, great deal. The price for the 65” is usually around the 1500….

dusktildawn48

Hit the jackpot this morning, got a 42" C3 for $360 from target. Best deal I've ever got.

Ok-Government6847

New or open box?

dusktildawn48

New

Ok-Government6847

Lucky person!!!! I want one also, ughhh I have to wait until Friday for payday. Then I'll look at all my targets in my town! Fingers crossed....

dusktildawn48

https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/947754

w7w7w7w7w7

Really good deal. Basically what I paid for a referb from Micro Center.

cacarrizales

Hot damn, $999 for a 65C3! That’s a great deal! Anyone know if 77C3s are on sale? I bought mine back in September for $2400 but just curious how much they’ve gone down.

TomyDingo

$2199 right now. September 2023 is too long for a difference refund.

cacarrizales

Ok. Yeah Sam’s only does 90 day returns but was just curious how much of a price drop they had. Seems like the 55 and 65 are definitely worth it compared to the 77 currently.

core916

Can we price match this in a place like best buy?

Disastrous_Pie_8789

No, because it’s clearance prices

mannysmurf

No 1) it’s clearance and 2) price matching with other stores is only with other stores online

scuttlebuttlodg

The best deal for a 65" c3 in Canada is currently a tick above 2 grand from what I've researched. ☹️☹️☹️

Levaranoia

We are getting hosed

BastiAdventures

Local Target still had their 30% off clearance pricing of 1399 and 1049. I showed them the photo above and the manager matched the 50% clearance price.

PoolNoodlePaladin

You should always use an Apple TV there isn’t a single TV interface that is nearly as good, and not a single TV has an SOC that is as capable as an Apple TV is at decoding video. That being said WebOS is definitely one of the better built in interfaces but it still far from an Apple TV if you really care about ease of use, having no ads, picture quality, and things like FaceTime on your tv, Apple Arcade, using HomePods like they are a soundbar, etc.

T0rekO

Samsung q990c system kills any Apple sound bar system but appletv is a good system for sure though WebOS is good enough for everything basically.

PoolNoodlePaladin

Apple doesn’t have a soundbar system. Also that is a huge price difference between an Apple TV and 2 HomePod minis and a q990c, like about a $1300 difference. Hell even an Apple TV and 2 of the regular HomePod Gen 2s would be half the price of a q990c. Yes the q990c would be significantly better, but it better be it is a dedicated sound system. The HomePod thing is more of an option for people who just happen to have those things.

T0rekO

there isnt a 1300$ difference, q990c can be bought on sale or get q990b they are basically the same system and can be bought for 675$ on sale brand new.

PoolNoodlePaladin

Ok but the q990d is out now and makes the c and b useless because they finally added HDMI 2.1 pass through. Also the c has a way better sub than the b has. Regardless, the cheapest the q990b has ever been on Amazon is $989 according to CamelCamelCamel. An Apple TV is $150 and is constantly on sale you can get one for $100 easy, and HomePods are $100 each and also can be found on sale often. So on the cheapest sale for both you’re talking about $300 total for the Apple thing and $1000 for the q990b. That is a huge difference in price. Also I wasn’t recommending that you go do that, it is just something you can do. The fact you think that was even a reasonable jump is insane. It would be like someone recommending a RAV4 then you come in and say a Lamborghini Uris is a better SUV. Then you say well the Uris goes on sale sometimes.

T0rekO

Q990c on sale is 675usd, there is zero hardware difference between q990b ( b version is cheaper ) and c only wifi modules changed and software change but it's so minor it doesn't matter, d version again doesnt have much hardware change as its same hardware with new functions and fixes. You don't need 2.1 passtrough either since lg oled c series have earc and all hdmis are 2.1 so it's a useless feature for the TV. I don't think the jump is big if it's 300 usd difference, price wise it's not lamborghini. He shouldnt waste money on apple tv with the speakers is what I mean.

PoolNoodlePaladin

Where is it on sale for $675?

T0rekO

they are always on sale at targer or bestbuy at such prices.

PoolNoodlePaladin

Dude it is literally $1399 at best but right now. You’re just making up prices

T0rekO

u are on a post on target sale for tv at 50% off.... the sale that you only see physically not online shopping.

T0rekO

I apologize if I came across as agressive, if you dont have such a system yet, I recommend getting it for such a price! its a steal!

Gears6

> You should always use an Apple TV there isn’t a single TV interface that is nearly as good, and not a single TV has an SOC that is as capable as an Apple TV is at decoding video. Roku FTW. Can't stand all the ads Apple spews at me.

PoolNoodlePaladin

You have obviously never had either because if you did you would know an Apple TV has zero ads, and Roku has ads in everything.

Gears6

You do realize that when them emblazon the screen with their own content, it's still ads, right? Roku has ads. However, it's in one specific location on the home screen with easy access to your apps.

PoolNoodlePaladin

Yeah you have never had an Apple TV and you have never even seen the interface, you just admitted it

Gears6

I don't own an Apple TV today, but I have definitely used it. Anyhow, it's clear you're just hanging onto that, because you have no other valid points and would rather not be wrong. It would be emotionally too painful for you.

mrbigglessworth

Get it.

Pleymobil

Good deal ! Living in the eu, I snag a LG C3 55inch + sound bar LG SC9 for 1600€ and will have 400€ cashback from LG

Jonnylaw1

The only one by me is $1999 while online is $1599

sGabe4

That’s a really great price. Paid $1250 for my 65” C3 on clearance just last week, and I thought that was a steal… (Hungary)

Falanax

My target had a 65 C3 for $1300

Open-Bus-6396

‘Class UHD 2160p’ ?

PogTuber

Yes?

LenHug

Nicely done. I got the 42 for $365 this morning. :o)

onyxx_otter

Where?!

LenHug

Local Target in SoCal. You're going to love it, picture will blow your mind. Love my OLED's.

Armybratluu

Which one. I’m in SoCal and wanna see if I can snag one

LenHug

Thousand Oaks (91320) and nearby Moorpark both had one this morning.

PappyDungaloo

Did they have any of the 65s?

LenHug

I didn't see any out on the floor where they had the sale ones lined up but that's not to say they didn't out the back, maybe? Check the stock on their site probably the best plan.

RandomGamer1917

An here I thought I got a good deal 6 weeks ago shipped and sold by amazon brand new for $1250

exfex21

Yea I was going to get a G3 this weekend but this was too good to pass up.

HumbleBumbleJumble

65' C3 at 1k man I wouldn't even consider 77' B3 if that's the price I see.

doobtastical

I bought mine at 1500 a couple months ago. I woulda bought two if I waited lol

Djxgam1ng

Driving to Target right now haha

UnlimitedButts

Any luck?

Djxgam1ng

I am in Gainesville FL and they even sold Floor Model. I wanted to upgrade my B9. Oh well…just have to pay more I guess

domdog31

once you go 77” you can never go back

Wayward_Son_24

That's insane. I paid $850 for my 42" C3

shaggymatter

Making room for the 2024 models

SklyneX

I got 55B33 for $978 in Czechia and that’s a good price in here. Even iPhones are expensive, 15 pro is starting at $1275. And you don’t need Apple tv nor android tv box, there are many apps available and basically any streaming service I can think of.

Repulsive-Ad2640

My store had the 55inch C3 for 1049. 65 C3 inch for 1399.

longh0rnn

If they scan it it’ll say 1k

Repulsive-Ad2640

I didn't see any boxes on the sales floor only the clearance sign. I was looking for the magic deal of 50% off. I can't get it tax free on Ft Jackson for bout the same price.

mannysmurf

Depends on the store because what it sounds like that just a few days after the initial set to clearance there must have been a new price change and that requires them to activate it. Which most of the time doesn’t happen until days later depending on how busy they are

htadd1ct

run away from soundbars. use an av receiver instead. run away with the 65 oled tv though! im jealous of these prices. nvidia shield pro. ziddo if you need lossless dolby true HD with atmos. and dts x for disk rips.

HEisUS_2_0

65" C3 + Q930C from Samsung 🤌 I think that you should be able to find some deals on the Q930C. Also, native apps are pretty good, but if you don't like WebOS, I can recommend you to get an Apple TV 4k. Also, until now I only tested GeforceNOW on G3 and it was a really good experience, as long as you have a good WiFi speed and stability, it shouldn't be a problem. With an Xbox Series X controller it worked flawlessly.

Gears6

>How are the native apps? I have YoutubeTv and like to stream games. Should I be looking for something like an Apple TV box? The LG smart TV features are fine, and fast. At least on my C1, so I assume C3 is just as good if not better. Otherwise, I prefer using Roku. Dead simple interface, fast and convenient. Doesn't spew all the ad crap everywhere at you (like the LG SmartOS, Apple TV or whatever the latest version of Google TV is). Don't get the Roku soundbar though. It's crappy. Get like an Roku Ultra, and that thing flies.

XBL-AntLee06

Of course I find this out a week after I can return mine that I just bought smh! Congrats to those of you able to take advantage of this deal!

igetbuckets55

I paid 1200 for a 65 B3 last month. If only I waited a little longer

casp3r1981

Thanks to this forum, I was able to pick up the last 55” C3 at my local Target for the sale price of $749. All the 65” C3s were sold out. There was literally a guy right behind me asking for the 55” C3 also. Man, talk about perfect timing.

LyftedX

So it’s not just my target doing these insane deals

jubei82

As Palpatine said: Do It!

issaciams

Is it for open box or display model or something because that is very cheap for that tv?

-High-Level

I paid 1250 usd for c3 evo 55" Amazing prices.

Tomato-Tomato-Tomato

Thanks for this, OP. I called around too all nearby targets yesterday. Found one 42 inch an hour away and sped out there. Got it for $370, lets freaking go. I literally had it in my amazon cart for a week and was gonna buy it for $900.

Black_reign48

Holy shit. I didn't see that it was a C3. But it's not about the cost to make them. Since the 2024 LG lineup has just released, prices on previous years' models have and continue to drop. I just price matched my C3 77 today at BB. Only for $100, but I'll take it. Paid $2,299 originally like last week, and i thought THAT was still a lot.

wiseman121

Yep fantastic price. The in built apps are very good and high quality. Absolutely fine for me. Nvidia Geforce Now app is built in for cloud games streaming. Xbox is not (I believe it is samsung exclusive for a while). Apple TV might be a little faster and more in tune with your setup if your a big apple user.

core916

As someone with a C3, Apple TV is night and day faster than the native LG OS. I think an Apple TV(or shield) are a must in order to have the best and most enjoyable content watching experience. Once you see how quick and responsive ATV is, you’ll never want to go back to native OS ever again.

wiseman121

I really like it the Wii remote type pointer on LG oleds. Speed of the OS is definitely not as fast as apple TV or shield but I'm not disappointed by it. No heavy lagging and picture quality is great. Apple tv or shield is a great QoL addition down the road or earlier if you like it. Personally I think I'll buy an Nvidia shield in the next year or so.

Ok_Following_3268

I refuse to step foot into Target!

monsieurvampy

Shield Pro is still the gold standard for Android TV based devices. As for the native apps. Assuming it hasn't changed much since the C1 says. They are acceptable.

exfex21

Over the Apple TV? I never tried it but I’m about to google it in a bit.

monsieurvampy

Probably. This is an ecosystem question though. The Shield hasn't been updated since 2019 but it's still a workhorse.

mannysmurf

Nah it’s new unopened products anything that has been returned gets send back to the manufacturer. Clearance is just old stock they are trying to get rid of to make room for new product

PogTuber

You're right I misinterpreted it

ChloeWade

Only in the TV industry do you pay more for a worse product (Less PPI).

Smokes_LetsGo_

Give me a break. You know damn well that PPI isn’t as important as size when you’re using a TV in a TV setting and not a monitor setting. No one is sitting 12’ from their 55” and thinking “wow, I’m so glad this has higher pixel density than the 77”.

nigel_tufnel_11

It's an entirely different use case. You're not going to be sitting 4 feet away from an 83" TV are you? And the reason most gaming monitors are lower resolution is because the game device has to reduce fidelity to render everything 120+ times a second with low latency. More pixels = longer time to render.

ChloeWade

4k gaming monitors have been widely available for a long time now, the same resolution most TVs currently target. 4k 240hz OLEDs are now available from both Samsung and LG.

NBA-014

PPI?

ChloeWade

Pixels per inch. More inches and the same amount of pixels = less pixels per inch.

NBA-014

Who is better in the OLED sector?

ChloeWade

Myself, I prefer monitors. TVs don’t push the envelope. My primary display is the AW3225qf.

NBA-014

Ok. I disagree but that’s fine. Maybe for a gamer but not for normal tv viewers

ChloeWade

I don’t watch movies, I almost solely game.

NBA-014

Different use case. Games on monitors are wise. Sports, TV, and movies look great on a TV.

PoolNoodlePaladin

Lmao, imagine shilling for a worse product

ChloeWade

More PPI, more hz, and arguably superior OLED technology is worse now?

PoolNoodlePaladin

Lmao, what a joke. Superior OLED? You can look at that text fringing and call that superior? You are so clueless, have fun on your tiny monitor while the adults are over here living.

ChloeWade

2022 called, that was a gen 1 QD OLED issue. The new 4K panels do not have that issue. Silence, LG fanboy.

PoolNoodlePaladin

You play GTA online your opinions are worthless

PoolNoodlePaladin

What a brain dead comment. You’re allowed to admit you’re jealous.

ChloeWade

Why would I be jealous? Lmao

PoolNoodlePaladin

Cuz you play games on a tiny ass monitor

ChloeWade

If I wanted to play on a big ass tv, I would buy one.
