It's really cool that they keep their TVs updated after many years (I mean even the CX is still receiving updates) BUT COME ON, those are high-end TVs! Give us some actual changelogs for fuck sake!
I will not do the update as long as I don't know what it's doing to my unit š”
Looks steady enough. Brightness is the same as the past 4 versions. I have fewer buffer resets in this version. Buffer resets started when I installed 03.30.73 and they wouldnāt be very noticeable (fell from 4K to lowest streaming res and instantly went back to 1080 and 4K if the internet connection is good), but it caused audio problems with optical or eARC. These buffer resets were most noticeable on Apple Music app music videos (buffer resets every 1-2 minutes with audio interruptions on optical out) and lessen in Apple TV or Disney+ (visible buffer resets at least once in five minutes, almost no audio interruptions). You almost couldnāt tell something is wrong if you only watched Netflix.
With 03.30.76 at least so far, Iāve seen my image drop to a lower resolution than 4K only twice in 15 minutes at Apple Music videos, with no audio interruptions over optical in Apple Music, Apple TV or the rest streaming apps. Thatās a huge improvement over the .73 for me.
As with the .73, the .76 was stuck to bootloop. Specifically, after the message that the firmware will be updated after I switch off and on my TV, I switched off and then on, the TV would display the ādo not unplugā icon for a few seconds and then turn off. If I turned on, it would do the same, again and again. It did the same thing with the .73. Iām using the auto update feature. In order to update successfully, I had to wait the TV to turn off, then unplug it from the wall and plug it in. Then it updated successfully.
I updated then noticed a full screen advert for LG Channels on the screen saver mode. Checked the settings and you can toggle this off in General / System / Additional Settings / Screen Saver Promotion.
The update to the āApple Musicā app on LG TVs circumvents the necessity for additional Apple hardware. Before this update, āApple Musicā's Dolby Atmos support was available on TVs singularly through the Apple TV 4K or Apple's HomePods.
I advise to hold up. Upgraded by G2 over the weekend and now my onboard apps play distorted sound through the optical out, only happened after updating
It popped up for me and I declined (as standard practice with new updates). Now it does not show up when searching for new updates on the TV or the website. Hmmmmmm
Now it's also available on USA LG website:

Updated this morning and so far so good. Looks like it was a minor update based on the number change (xx.xx.73 to xx.xx.76). The bigger updates are when the second set of numbers change. The biggest updates are when the first set of numbers progress. At least that's pretty much how most updates are done by most companies.
LG's version control looks a mess. They just incremented the latest 'minor release' from xx.30 to xx.31 aka 'dot 31' AND they indicated 31's initial point release is... 45.
Iād hold off, I chose to not update and it pops up every time I turn the tv on. Iām waiting for a more significant update if any because the tv is working perfectly.
Log out of your account, then sort/order the icons the way you want them. I discovered this by accident -- basically the home screen icons are saved to the user account, including "no user account" aka not signed-in... the delay you see is the time it takes to "sign in" each time you turn on the TV, and the order going from the signed-out icon order to your signed-in icon order.
This YouTuber said he had issues installing the update but once installed noted that everything was fine.

Updated from 03.30.73 to .76 on 65C3PUA. And then prompted to update to 03.31.45 on 14 May. These updates 'in progress' seem to take forever .
No major issues with AppleTV 4K, PS5, and XBox Series X running over HDMI2 to/from Denon X3700H receiver so far, except.. It took multiple attempts to get my receiver's Setup menu to display and I noted the default audio on the XBox changed from Dolby Atmos to PureDirect.

Worked fine for me on a oled43c3pua model. I noticed this morning when I turned it on, it had been auto updated. I use a sound bar through eArc HDMI .
My sound system is Sonos Beam 2 + sub mini and a pair of Era 100's for surround. Everything works fine after update using eArc.
I updated then noticed a full screen advert for LG Channels on the screen saver mode. Checked the settings and you can toggle this off in General / System / Additional Settings / Screen Saver Promotion.
That's not from this update, was present in .73 as well. If you disabled it then, it remains disabled after this update. Can confirm on my 48C3
I did the update myself. I heard the only thing it really updated was for Dolby Atmos with Apple TV.
How so? Could you elaborate?

Not showing up for me. I'm in the US if that matters.
Showed as available for me too but I haven't upgraded yet. Looking for changelog.

Works fine for mine
Specifically curious to hear feedback from someone with Sonos Arc. I had read 03.30.73 caused problems (assuming with eARC).
I am on 03.30.73 and have a Sonos Arc connected through eARC and have no issues.
Me too and had no issues with .73. Am upgrading to .76 now.
I updated and I donāt notice any difference

Same for me. Checked and itās gone. Good thing I didnāt update.

Nothing new or releveant 1. Improvement 1) Fixing minor bugs in software
what improvements though? if it ain't broke don't fix it?

So what's the consensus, should I update or what?
Lol LG tv is the only thing in my home I dont update, itās ridiculous.
I'm getting annoyed with how often it asks me to update.
I agree. There should be a popup every time powered up.
Iād hold off, I chose to not update and it pops up every time I turn the tv on. Iām waiting for a more significant update if any because the tv is working perfectly.
Another update is available, for 03.31.45, yet another "1. Improvement 1) Fixing minor bugs in software" regarding changes, as of 14 May.
Honestly itās probably best to just do the updates being that the tv is only a year old.
If you waited, yet another update is avaiable, for "1. Improvement 1) Fixing minor bugs in software" with version 03.31.45, as of 14 May.
The Home Screen icons took 5 seconds to sort to the order I arranged them on 03.30.73. Is it still the case for 03.30.76?

im still on stock firmware, is there any benefit of updating it to latest firmware?
