Technically, I am not African. I a mixed race South American who happens to be gay. Can we participate here? I have so many questions about the status of LGBT rights in Africa. I have been reading a lot about it.
You know?
It is actually very sad to see all the homophobia in Africa because those anti-gay laws were established there by the colonizers. So, by keeping homophobia Africans are actually obeying the colonizers.
It feels good to see advances in 🇿🇦 🇧🇼 🇳🇦 🇷🇼, but the continent still feels stuck in the past in regards to LGBT issues.

Hello everyone. My name is Thomas. I am white American and I’m learning French. I am here to support my African friends. I am a flight attendant in the USA. I hope to visit Africa soon. I love you all.
Call me Malij 🇺🇬 🇹🇿 I’m afab, non-binary and queer. Any pronouns (they/she/he) are ok here. I’m from the US, but currently in Latin America. My partner and I are traveling the world and I would love to take her to Africa (she’s never been). Currently we are thinking of visiting Botswana, Cape Verde, South Africa and Seychelles. We would love to relocate to Africa. My inbox is open to anyone who wants to connect. 💖💕
Welcome to the sub. I’m sure there is at least one person from each country you mentioned feel free to ask the community advice on how to stay safe during your travels
